Beware, do not use these scammers. If I could give this company negative stars, I would. Hiring them to pack and store my belongings was easily one of the worst decisions I've made. They showed up late, acted completely disorganized, and somehow managed to turn a straightforward move out into a stressful mess. Boxes were poorly packed, items were mislabeled (or not labeled at all), and half my stuff was just thrown together with no care. When it came time to retrieve my things, it somehow got worse. It took forever to track everything down, and several items came back damaged--clearly not handled properly during storage. Honestly I was surprised to see they have as many stars as they do especially how we were treated during the move and extremely poor after the move. This is one of many poor reviews to follow. The majority of our stuff was damaged. It was done very fast and highly unprofessional. Then after everything was said and done they never checked with insurance for payment, and all that was explained to my wife on a recorded line was what she was "signing" was permission for them to enter the house. Never did they go over any financial responsibility, never did they check with insurance and at the end tell us we owe a ridiculous amount of money. After several emails and phone calls they were willing to leave us a 6,000 debt. We have two kids and both work full time jobs to barely stay afloat. When we have an emergency and are having to rush two kids into a very small hotel because the house isn't livable you would think professional tact and due diligence would be a part of their process however it's not! I had used Rapid Packout in the past, so it was an easy decision to call them again. They are truly professional, and a pleasure to work with. The first time, they packed up the kitchen, and stored it in my garage. This time, they had to pack up everything from the two guest rooms, so not enough room in the garage. They agreed to store everything at their facilities. Everything was wrapped and covered carefully and thoroughly. But, what meant even more, they sent the same project manager who worked on the house before! Gustavo remembered me and the house, and I remembered him. And, he brought a team of 6 with him to get the job done quickly. He knew everything I had discussed with the office, so not many questions. Everyone he brought was professional, and friendly. I had immediate confidence with all of them. so I was able to let them get to work; and didn't feel the need to watch over them. I was home, so if they had questions they knew they could ask me. They made a complete inventory of everything they took with them, so that will save time and questions when the construction project is finished. A leaking bathroom pipe caused significant water damage to our downstairs bathroom ceiling, adjacent walls and flooring. My mom and I got in touch with our insurance and they said we'd have to move the furniture out so that the restoration could get to the floors. They sent Gustavo "Gus" and his team from Rapid Packout. Gus was super friendly and considerate. I was really amazed at how quickly him and his team were able to move all the furniture but also very careful. They wrapped everything in plastic wrap and protective blankets. They had boxes for all the smaller stuff. They were able to move couches, beds, and anything else touching the floor out of 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and dining room in only a few hours. We had a pipe burst in our wall and this company was recommended for the pack out. DO NOT use this company. Most of our things were damaged. One bag of items had remnants of a mouse eating our things. They made a hole in our wall and never said a word. There were items that had been sealed up that they opened and went through. I would never recommend this company. When we tried to call the owner, they didn't answer our calls but were talking to the movers the whole time. There will be more to follow as we go through the boxes and look at our furniture. One thing to note is that once I posted this review, the owner sent my husband a message because she saw my review. After experiencing quite the inconvenient water leak from my ceiling I dreaded the inevitable pack out needed to fully repair the ceiling and carpet. Thankfully the guys from Rapid Packout lived up to their name! A whole team of guys came in and knocked out our living room and hallway (which had a ton of stuff for just two rooms) in just a few hours. Having so many strangers in your home all at once is definitely an uncomfortable experience for me but all the guys were polite, courteous and professional and my discomfort quickly vanished. I had the misfortune of having my toilet clog and overflow in the middle of the night. Sadly, Rapid Packout is one of a group of companies that took advantage of the situation. The water remediation company worked with them to pack up the contents of my bathroom and kitchen, a job that took two people about 3.5 hours. For that work, they sent my insurance a bill for over $4200. I recently received a $3896.15 bill for the negotiated amount. Still too much, in my opinion. I've done the same thing on my own when preparing for the exterminator to spray for bugs. I was planning on selling my house next year, but I am moving up the process because of this whole ordeal. I had to take part of my retirement out to pay for the plumbing repairs. Now, I have to come up with the funds to pay this excessive bill. The next time my toilet overflows, it will be my landlord's problem. read more

A very, very expensive company. But if your insurance company is paying, then it probably doesn't matter to you. However, for all that cost and talk of how they protect your items, they broke the most precious and fragile item I had: a beautiful antique pink and gold blown-glass flowing bowl/vase from my late great grandma from the 1920's. They packed it by itself in a large box without much packing paper. The box was marked "beach decor", and it was NOT marked fragile, even though there was actually a spot you could just check off "fragile" on the box; they didn't do it. This family heirloom is now shattered in many pieces, and irreplaceable. Their response? We'll fix it for you. Fix it? Really? How is that possible? You are going to glue the shattered pieces back together? Really sad. They only marked HALF the boxes, if that. All the boxes are supposed to be marked with 1) what is in it, 2) what room it was in, and 3) the piece of furniture it was in (if applicable). Since most the boxes and furniture weren't marked, they were put in the wrong rooms. This then made the packback take a lot longer. It also made my work and time unpacking a lot longer. And now, we are on day 12 (myself and my mom) working all day everyday of opening boxes and moving them to the correct floor (it's a 2-floor condo) and room, since they were not put in the correct rooms because they weren't marked. I had to pay $100 overtime to the HOA "Move Monitor" due to this 2-hour time increase for the monitoring. Rapid Packout's response: they aren't responsible for HOA rules. My Love Sac (huge bean bag seat) was not wrapped at all. No blanket on it, or anything. And they rolled it along the floor, the hallway, into the elevator, through the garage with oil and gunk on the it, outside, onto the street and into the truck. And back. When I saw that, I asked for money to clean it. The response was: we don't do any cleaning. As it turns out, it's actually damaged. The wood and leather on my padded leather ottoman were broken and damaged by Rapid Packout. Their response: it was damaged previously. Well, if that was the case, they weren't supposed to take it to begin with. Now they did take it to "try to repair it". However, that was over a month ago, and it still hasn't been returned. My repeated phone calls, texts and emails have done nothing. At this point, they broke/damaged my ottoman and then stole it! Positives: There were two employees that stood out as going above and beyond: Cedric and John. These guys I liked: they knew what they were doing and they were careful. However, there were so many other guys working on all the different days that didn't know what they were doing and WEREN'T careful that precious heirlooms and irreplaceable items are destroyed, furniture is damaged, and personal belongings are missing. On another positive note: Rapid Packout seems pretty flexible, and can get the job done quick, as they just add more employees to the job when they need to. However, that means you are always getting a set of different employees that aren't familiar with the job or the special requirements for the unit, and don't know how the furniture was arranged or what the plan was. My packout took awhile, about 5 days, but the packback took only 8 hours with 4 employees (though it should have taken 4 hours if they had the 5 employees they told me they would have, and if they had the boxes and furniture marked like they were supposed to). The different managers do not agree on things such as rules, procedures, etc. It makes things very confusing. I'm glad the insurance paid for this, as it was over $20,000 for the packout and packback for a 2-bedroom 2 1/2-bath place (and 3 weeks storage). That seems crazy to me. But like I said, I didn't have to pay it. Also, as you can see from above, the customer service is seriously lacking (and I only mentioned a few of the 12 or so issues). They don't intend to take responsibility for anything broken, damaged or missing. Or, they will only offer to glue together your family antique glass heirloom they broke into thousands of shards of glass. When I pushed the issue on the heirloom, they asked for receipts before they would consider replacing or reimbursing for anything. Well, I'm sorry, but I don't have a receipt for something made in the 1920's given to me by my late great-grandma. Or did they mean the receipts once I repurchase the items that they damaged or lost? Again, sorry but I don't have the money to buy all these items you destroyed or lost. I would need the money first in order to be able to buy anything. And, once again, the family heirloom can't be replaced. Your choice. But if you value your furniture, personal items, not to mention time, I would go with someone else. read more

They did an excellent job both trips (in packing, picking up and bringing our items back and unpacking). Rapid Packout apparently came to my house while I was out and moved two couches and an ottoman 15 feet to another room where they stacked everything onto other furniture. Two weeks after the damage was repaired I moved the two couches and the ottoman back by myself. It took me 15 minutes and I am 70 years old. Rapid Packout charged my insurance more than $3,300. This is theft. An egregious lack of ethics and integrity. Yelp already removed a previous review so I expect this one will disappear soon also. This company is a sham read more
