Rapid Insurance company don't want anything but your money! They don't do any research on the insurance carriers that they assign you to and they don't care how that insurance carrier treats you as long as theyget your money. I've been with Rapid insurance brokers for over 10 years and initially they were great to work with. However, over the past years, I have had the misfortune of being assigned and then reassigned to some of the worst insurance companies ever by way of Rapid Insurance. My vehicle was involved in an accident and I called the insurance company Rapid reassigned me to called Acceptance and all I've gotten got is a run around, a whole lot of lies and no one ever returns my calls. I've called to complain about this to Acceptance's management team but every time I call I get hung up on! I called and reported this to Rapid and requested a different carrier and was told that that's not how they do business, that just because I'm not satisfied with the current carrier it does not mean they'll give me a different insurance carrier. This statement came from the manager named William who was very rude, very argumentative and did not want to hear what I had to say not care how I felt about. hello what about me? Scott is VERY Unprofessional and rude! He makes his company look extremely bad and it's exactly why I'm taking the time to write this review! Do you not trust him for this company because they were very pushy and are literally harassing my husband via text message! Even after we stated that we do not want them to contact us or we will file for harassment, he continue to send us numerous messages still harassing us. I went ahead and posted photos of the conversation to show how professional they are and that this is not a business you would want to work with! We were really excited about the good prices and we actually look forward to getting insurance to this company but as soon as we didn't respond right away, they started blowing up our phone making it really annoying when we were out doing errands or at work. -- like, PEOPLE HAVE LIVES! And if somebody doesn't respond to one text message, why I sent 20 more? Just super super unprofessional and quite frankly, really weird and crazy. Customer service is horrible and they don't explain anything to you. I was just trying to verify my cancellation with them since I'm still somehow being billed by the insurance company they picked for me or however it works. Now I'm receiving notices saying I'm being cancelled for "non-payment" LOL I have progressive as my insurance now and had them before I cancelled. The price it's not competitive enough to put up with that kind of service. They flat out suck! read more

Takes an entire week just to receive assistance with your policy. Changes can not be made online, one has to call. When you call you are transferred around to leave a message. You leave a message and you never hear back. I have emailed with no response. All of this to correct an issue they caused. Utterly disappointed with this company and will be taking my business to a company that will at least help me with my policy. read more

Do not use this company! They are incompetent and have no integrity or accountability and the insurance companies they represent are just as bad. The insurance company says, "You have to speak to agent" and the agent says, "You have to talk to the insurance." When I asked who should be accountable for the misinformation, I was told by the insurance company that there is no way they can monitor the thousands of agents that represent them. Apparently, they don't care about their reputation either if they don't monitor how those that represent them behave. I don't usually right bad reviews, but this is unacceptable. If I could give zero stars I would. No one can help you, when you have an issue unless you agree to pay an extra fee for every little thing. There's a fee to pay your bill with credit/debit card of $5.00, there's a fee for NOT using automatic payments of $3.00, there's a $5.00 for their name to show up on your statement even though they are not the actual insurance company, (I'm guessing that is what it is for, because no one can answer my question about why it is being charged), over $120 extra just to start a policy that has a premium of $80 (maybe that's for the how to pass the buck training they receive), $40 charge for NSF fee for a policy that Rapid confirm and verified was paid, but only after multiple follow up calls on our part (Because they didn't actually call us back to confirm payment). Oh, and the $40 is $15 more than the stated amount on their bill, due to additional charges, again we have no clue for what but if you want insurance you have to pay. I understand that this company writes policies that others won't and that there is a cost of doing business, but they totally take advantage of people that have limited options or are on a fixed income like my mother-in-law. Some of these issues could have easily been avoided with follow up call from Rapid, when they received notification of the issue or in the 15 days that passed before we received a letter. But then they wouldn't be able to charge a disabled older lady an extra $40 that she doesn't even have. Do not use Rapid Insurance or Mendota Insurance! They are both awful. read more

BEWARE OF RAPIS INSURANCE!! I only gave 1 star because they don't have minus stars and because Christina who take initial info was polite. However, I was transferred to the underwriter, Clariza. My call started at 11:30am. I was placed on hold numerous times at 12-17 minutes each time then finally asked that they call me back each time. They last call ended at 7:11pm. ALL DAY I SPENT ON THIS! At the end of the day AFTER taking my payment Clariza informed me that I didn't have Uninsured Motorist! Seriously? I asked for Liability and Uninsured Motorist and that was made clear at the beginning of my call. I even had a conversation with Christina about how you have to worry about other drivers more than yourself. Anyhow, Clariza said we're closed now but we'll add it. I said No, not without a quote. She placed me on eternal hold again, came back and said it will be $200 split over 5 payments. I said ok I guess I will pay another $40 a month. She said I would get the email to do the DocuSign. The following day I was going through the email. They probably assumed I would just sign everything and be done. (I had problems with Rapid increasing my payment last year by $100 monthly and was stuck scraping up that additional charge or coming up with another large down payment to go elsewhere so I was cautious) Luckily I read first because they slipped in a larger increase AGAIN, just like last year. My policy almost went from $211 a month to $303! I called and asked to reverse the payment completely, I will go elsewhere....back on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and called back and spoke to Maria, office manager. I said just leave it without the Uninsured Motorist. I will deal with it for 6 months then go elsewhere. I asked her to just email my original policy and insurance cards. She said I will see what I can do and hung up on me without a Thank you or even a Goodbye. Day 3....still no documents. I finally called Infinity and they agreed to email the policy and insurance card to keep in my car. They apparently just want their commission and try to sell you the most they can and add what they can then roll the dice in hopes that you will sign all the documents without reading the details. I didn't do that. I read and thank goodness I did or it would have been twice that they increased without my knowledge. Oh and let me add that they originally tried quoting me $493 A MONTH!! Someone without insurance knowledge may have paid that! Aren't they there to help not hurt? So sad that they would take advantage of vulnerable people to make a fat commission. Just awful!! read more
