When I set up insurance services with Chris Coriano six years ago, they were excellent at customer service. They were friendly and promptly responded to calls and emails. I felt like I made the right decision choosing them. Like many companies that excel in customer service, they have grown. In my experience, as they grew, their customer service suffered. Their response when I emailed or left a message was neither immediate or sometimes not at all. My insurance on vehicles and homes came up for renewal. The cost had increased by over $1,700.00. I emailed Chris, my agent, asking for providers that could reduce my costs. I got a response from an agent on his team. I'm guessing he was too busy to bother with a long-term customer. The agent emailed me and told me she would have a quote for me in about a week. I contacted four other agencies that were able to provide a quote in 48 hours. She sent me an email with a quote that was less expensive than my renewal would have been. In my opinion, the carrier she recommended was a low-quality carrier. Through my internet research, I found that the carrier had numerous comments and scores on multiple websites, indicating poor customer service and issues with claims or claim payments. When my insurance costs are going up 1,700+, I would expect my agent to call me with alternative providers, not the other way around. I had two conversations with Chris about weak experiences. I provided all of my information and received 2-3 "check ins" over the next 2 weeks saying that I wasn't forgotten but they were working on getting me the best rate.
