My insurance sent me to Safelite, but after reading their reviews there was no way I was going to trust them with my truck! I found Blue Chip and their amazing customer feedback online and gave them a call. Kelly answered my questions, and was humbled by my asking to switch from Safelite. The appointment was set, lobby was stocked with delicious snacks (even vegan) and drinks, and the bathroom was clean. Chris checked me in, and John checked me out when it was time to leave. Freddy did a stellar job on my truck, even grabbing me to show what the body of my truck looked like after removing the old glass (yeah, there was some rust there). He explained that while he can do his best to clean it up by grinding it, that there would be a chance in the future for leaks and would be unavoidable unless I got body work done to fix it, which I opted out of. I thanked him for his transparency. Mind you, I have a 1999 GMC Suburban, which is not perfect, but I don't mind it. Freddy showed me my glass when he was all finished and I couldn't have been happier! I met Kelly in person as I was leaving and find that he is a great business owner who really cares about his clients and their experience with his shop. Let me start by stating that Tara out of the Provo office was outstanding from the time we had email exchanges to the time I arrived and took care of my car. Not only was she amazing but so where the crew, diligent, professional, courteous and efficient. The reservation, the repair and replacement including calibration was done with expertise and extremely quickly even if my car had all the bells and whistles on it. All I can do honestly is praise the service and work they performed. Their prices were competitive, and best of all you are supporting a small locally owned family business that take huge pride in their work, something you do not see in big box organizations. They gave me an appointment date and I brought my C8 in and hung out in their lobby reading. Justin and a manager (?) did a great job installing the window. The C8 is sitting in the garage now and in a day I'll reattach my front camera and tuck some wires in the molding as the window will have set and I'll be able to work on it without messing up the install. I gave 'em a call and was quickly scheduled. Upon arrival, I was surprised at how beautiful the lobby was and it had lots of nice displays for both home and auto glass. Sarah showed me the different options and tints available in EXPEL. The display made making the choice easy! We then discussed what I wanted to tint. I have a large Ford Expedition, so it was side windows for thee rows of seating and the back glass. I was a little concerned that the rear tint would be damaged by the defrosters, but was told that the tint wouldn't be damaged. And if it were, the warranty would cover it. In addition, have a very large sunroof that extends most of the length of the vehicle. I asked if would be beneficial to do that as well, and was told that it would offer additional protection and that they could take care of that as well for a little extra. So off she went with my vehicle around to the back. I decided to wait for my vehicle while it was tinted. I was using my laptop in the waiting area and was invited into the conference room so that I could use the table. I thought that was a nice touch. In two short hours, the vehicle was done.
