It was Sunday night and had just finished watering the lawn. The backyard faucet would not close. I kept calling plumbers and were not available until the next day. I was very thankful to find Rapid Action Rooter. Mandel did not hesitate to come to Downey from Hawthorne. Replaced two of my faucets in no time. I will be recommending them to friends and family. read more

Mandel was very fast. As soon as I called he said he could be out here in 20 minutes and came out in 20min he sure did. We had a pipe that was broken and needed to be replaced. We needed it done ASAP as our water was off and people need to shower, wash dishes, laundry etc... Mandel came out and knew exactly what to do. Great guy. Clearly is a vet in what he does. Price was reasonable and comparable to other estimates but went with him due to ratings. 100% will use him and Rapid Action's services again. read more

One of the most important lessons I've learned as a homeowner is knowing when to call the professionals to handle a repair. My experience with Rapid Action Rooter fortified this lesson, and introduced us to our new forever plumber, Mandel Bishop. We had a slow drain in the shower and tried the usual DIY methods to clear the drain to no avail. After reviewing several vendors on Yelp as we usually do before selecting one, I read and was intrigued by all of the solid and very positive reviews for Rapid Action Rooter and decided to give Mandel a call on a Sunday instead of waiting the following day, and I'm sure glad that I did. Just as you've read in other reviews, Mandel picked up the phone right away and he gave me a brief phone consultation and a diagnosis of what he suspected based on my account might be the issue. He was at another job at the time and he gave me a reasonable estimate for when he'd be able to get to us. As it turned out, the job Mandel was at before ours ended up being a bigger issue than anticipated and I was very impressed at Mandel keeping me updated on his timeline as it shifted ever so slightly. When Mandel arrived on site, he was very professional, very courteous, and took exceptional care to carefully assess our plumbing and the issues we were experiencing. Mandel also utilized a camera to not only diagnose the issue but to also show us what was going on underneath the house. Just as Mandel had suspected on the phone we were facing a slightly larger plumbing matter than a simple clogged shower drain. Mandel made sure we understood what was happening with our home, what our options were, and best of all his recommendations on how best to handle the work. I can't stress enough that Mandel is great at communicating what's going on with your plumbing at all phases of the job. He's never bothered by clarifying questions and is always happy to make sure you're clear on what's going on at all times. The very next day, Mandel and his crew arrived on site to carry out the relining of our main sewer line with minimal interruption of our water use (less than 20 minutes) while also taking time to show us each step of the process so we not only had peace of mind about the repair, but we also came away more educated about plumbing and about our home. Mandel's whole crew was polite, professional, and always busy with something related to the job. Mandel is also always on-site to supervise the work being carried out, which hasn't always been our experience with tradespeople and it definitely makes a difference. When all was said and done, the job site was meticulously cleaned and they got the whole job done in one day! Rapid Action Rooter is the plumber you're looking for. Mandel is all about doing the job correctly the first time, and he's the last plumber you'll ever need. read more

Mandel and his team are phenomenal!! We went through 2 other plumbers before I found them and wish I had them from the start. I called late on a weekend and Mandel immediately answered the phone. Within 2 minutes of discussing the issue he new exactly what caused it when others said something different and they had seen it in person. They were at our home first thing the following day. He made sure we were educated every step of the way and understood the work being done. They were prompt, communicative and went above and beyond. I called and spoke to Mandel, who called me back within a half hour to say Dwayne would be there within the hour, which he was. The issue was a blocked shower drain - and it turned out to be troublesome because the snake kept running up the vent pipe instead of down the drain pipe. Dwayne was there quite some time, but persevered until he got the problem solved. Both Mandel and Dwayne were very polite and professional. I'd certainly recommend. read more

We had just gotten home about 6:30 and discovered our toilet not working. Found rapid action rooter and saw they were open 24 hours. We needed our toilet to work right away. I'll stick to some key points: Very easy to work with Came on time wearing a mask Extremely experienced and helpful Taught us about what we needed to know to change our pipes in the future and what to expect in the long term Fast at every step but never rushed. Took the time to not just undo an old clog but ensured it had much higher flow from both the sink and the drain than before we moved in - snaked the drain multiple times including all the work to open the pipes after replacing our access pipe! Very reasonable price with many payment options Would definitely hire again. read more

We cant thank the plumber Mandel enough for coming to fix our sudden broken, busted kitchen faucet today on Sunday which was also Fathers Day. He answered my call immediately, was totally professional and talked me through what to do until he could come 2 h later. Mandel was able to fix the issue and saved our Father's day dinner plans. His fee was very fair and he provided the best customer service and advice I have ever had from a plumber, especially on a holiday. He is my plumber from now on! Highly Recommend. read more

Wow. I couldn't thank them enough. Mandel and Kelly are dedicated to taking care of their customers and going above and beyond. I bought the wrong kitchen faucet and Kelly returned it to Lowe's for me and didn't charge me extra. I didn't expect him to do that all because the faucet costs less than his time. I figured I would donate it. But Mandel insisted I shouldn't lose money. Mandel arranged for another technician to do water damage repair at my house after Kelly discovered my supply lines were leaking. One of my property managers was there the day with his worker. They saw the leak and water damage under the sink and ignored it. Being a long-distance landlord is very stressful. Mandel comforted me in telling me I could put all of my stress on him and let him take care of all of my plumbing problems. Kelly picked up a different kitchen faucet at Home Depot the next day and installed it. My buying the wrong faucet cost him three trips to the stores and two to my house. They didn't charge me any extra. read more

I contacted Mandel from Rapid Action Rooter at 5:15pm where I failed to arrange any other plumbing service, some were not available till 2.5 days! I had a broken bath valve and the faucet was shooting water like no tomorrow! It was either pay for a high water bill next month or shut down the water for the entire house. MANDEL told me to shoot couple of pics from the valve, and he told me he had the part. So he was finishing up another job in Redondo and will be around 8pm. At 8pm, he arrived promptly and replaced the valve in 2 'minutes! He was very very courteous and friendly and honest! I will call him for any other plumbing job from now on! read more

Mandel is at the top of the plumbing game. 24 years in the business. Had a plumbing blockage 4 months ago and Mandel came out same day to snake the line. Professional, quick response and new exactly what the issue was. Igniter switch on my water heater went out two months ago and my tenant called the number on the heater. 2 star reviews and they charged $400 replaced the starter and the issue never was resolved. Was thoroughly frustrated and called Mandel. Had a brand new water heater installed by 3pm that day for $500 less than the other company. Excellent job. Mandela is a nice guy, very knowledgeable super friendly, easy going and I trust him. I've been ripped off left and right but this is the only plumber I will use. Thanks Mandel! read more

Very happy with our experience with Rapid Action and Mandel. He is transparent and forthright with his recommendations and his pricing is reasonable for the service he provides. For any cost above the original quote, he always showed me either directly or via camera what the issue was and explained the cost impact, while still allowing me to decide whether to proceed with the change or not. I have high expectations of both communication and performance and he and his team met all of them. I requested a quote from this company for a clogged bathroom sink. Immediately got back to me and told me to call. I gave them a call and they sent out two guys to our place. Initially, we thought it would just be a snake job to clear out the pipe. Ronald and Tony did what they could but due to a faulty pipe combined with the extremity of how clogged it was, they were unable to complete the job. Ronald and Tony offered to completely refund us even though they worked on the sink for over 30 minutes. Very trustworthy guys and company. I will definitely Be contacting them in the future if any other plumbing issues arise. read more
