It seems this place used to be open later, pre-covid - now they close annoyingly early by comparison - so if you are getting out of events nearby and feel hungry, there's a good chance you won't be served or will be forced to order take-out. It's been several years since I have returned to Ranoush. My last visit prior to the Pandemic was not so great with regards to service. The food (lentil soup) was amazing and I was really happy with it. I decided I would not return because the wait on the food/check was far longer than expected. I decided to return on Sunday evening . Huge difference in timing of the service in the small entrance way area (not the restaurant) I was looking for something quick as I was dining alone. I ordered the combination lamb/chicken shawarma wrap. I thought the flavor was just mediocre. I would not order it again because it simply lacked any true definitive flavor. I will continue to return to Ranoush again to try different things and will try to review each time to give a well rounded perspective from my point of view. read more

This was our staple while we were visiting London for our late night meals. The Lebanese food here is one of the best I've ever had and I live in LA, the hub of amazing restaurants. This place is not fancy or anything, perfect for a late night meal after going to the local bars! We ordered the babaganoush which was fantastic and an order of the mixed grill entree. The servers are attentive. Their garlic sauce and the other spicy red sauce are amazing. Pairs really well with the kebabs and everything else. Will definitely go back if I ever visit London again. They also give complimentary baklava at the end which was a nice touch and the perfect dessert! The server even brought us more baklava for no additional charge. read more

Enjoyed Ranoush on my recent trip to London. Ranoush on Kensington High Street is the "little brother" of Maroush, and this location is narrow and small, with limited table space so I suspect they do more take out and delivery than table service. Still, It was spotless with a big open kitchen area where you can see them making the shawarma and kebabs. The food is Lebanese. They have a pretty comprehensive menu with all the common dishes, and some that are not so common. We went twice, and both times the quality of the food, and the service was excellent. I would say this was one of the better meals, and better values we had in London. Recommended! read more

Again the curse of Kensington! - At about £5 for a wrap, this isn't a very affordable lunch option. Especially as the portion sizes are so small. Slow and disorganized service, on top of that the eat in menu has a whole variety of food that they don't even serve. Like the specialities, all of them sound delicious and consist of raw lamb but they can't serve it because it's raw or something, and the lamb tongue appetizer, and ..oh i don't know. that's about when i gave up and decided to go back to my take away menu. so yes, buy it to go, or if you're really desperate to take a seat, ask for the sandwich menu. no point reading something you can't get anyway. read more

Great little spot for Lebanese - you might not realize the selection of salads, dips and grilled dishes they have by the looks of the front, but its basically a polished version of a kebab spot. There are tables to stand at if you'd like to takeaway, but also a handful of booth-y tables up along the back where you get offered a proper menu and nice service. My lamb kebab pita was super juicy (and so generous with the meat!) with lots of warm smooth tahini, dotted with ripe red tomatoes, and a few pickles here and there. Have it with a carrot juice or one of their other fruit/veggie juice concoctions, you'll be set and satisfied for the day. read more

Ranoush Juice in Kensington is great for a not too expensive gap fill. They serve everything from wraps to plate loads of all that tasty Middle Eastern faire that we lick our chops for. And let's face it, these guys really know how to mix those flavours. Mint, tomatoes, onions, chickpeas, hommos, yoghurt, secret spices - imported by special arrangement with MI6 operatives - and of course, meat in abundance. The prices are damn good too for the substantial amount that's there looking up at you on your plate, seemingly ready to be devoured. Ranoush Juice is part of the family of restaurants that cover the breadth and depth of London. From Marlebone to Chelsea and everywhere in-between. If they are trying to infiltrate and convert our culture before their military arm's final push by al Qaeda on Westminster, they're doing a pretty good job. One of their delightful chains, 'Beirut Express' - known for it's express service and rather not, as one journalistic colleague put it, an gastronomically 'explosive' experience seems to be winning over the minds of many a Londoner who were breast fed on 'Fish and Chips' and I can see the day coming, due to their popularity, where we will need them more than they need us (one sure way of forcing us to learn to speak Arabic, as once we are finally fully addicted, the menus will surely only be in that language) There are some insidious plots in this world that we are drawn into that we can do nothing about. Just go along for the ride, or in this case, the food. This may well be one of them! read more

A tasty little middle eastern restaurant that also does take away. On the expensive side of middle eastern but I would say its one of the better options for a feed on the High Street. Its like a posh pita place. With so much more flavour and very good meats. All of the dips, labne etc are quite generous in serving sizes so be careful not to over order. IThe labne was whipped with herbs and so delicious but probably too much for just two people sharing. Better if you were in a four. The highlights for me were the baba ganoush with pomegranate seeds (YUM), the humous with lamb (perfectly cooked meat) and fattoush salad (fried crunched pita bits gave it a great crunch). You get a nice little plate of complimentary baklava at the end of your meal. All of this is best shared and comes out all at once. Staff are lovely. The wine list is a bit meh and they do not do BYO. read more

This restaurant is actually called Ranoush Juice I had a reasonably priced, excellent lamb shawarma wrap here - deliciously juicy , not dry at all , and one of the best kebabs I've had. I had a lovely fresh mixed fruit juice too. They also gave me a free small plate of baklava which was an unexpected pleasant surprise. Ordered Ranoush from Deliveroo and was to my hotel in less than 20 minutes. Ordered the Hummus Beiruty and the Mixed Grill. Hummus was amazing though was not spicy. Came with an onion,red spicy sauce that may have been the spicy portion? Anyway, hummus was fantastic and gave me a large portion. The mixed grill was amazing. Grilled lamb and chicken kebab as well as a minced lamb piece with seasoned onions, peppers and a tomato. Wow. First of all, it's open late...really late. Which is what I needed, everything else was closed, it was apres theatre, and I was starved. 12:30 am. Open and plenty of people. I ordered the dolmas first (they are called something else, but the grape leaves stuffed with rice and spices). I order these in every restaurant they are served, I can honestly say these are the best I've ever had. tasty, perfectly seasoned, yum. The hummus with shaved lamb was delicious, and my friend got a fab shawarma sandwich and falafal. Everything was as good as we've ever had. they gave us complimentary baklava desserts. I was introduced to this joint by a friend who lives in London. I have never ate in because each time I went, I could not resist getting a mixed or lamb shawarma and cocktail juice to eat while standing by the food counter, watching the two huge sticks of chicken and lamb getting roasted. The shawarma is one of the best I have ever had. I admit I don't know much about such foods, but I know good juicy meat when I bite into a piece. Ranoush definitely has amazingly flavorful, juicy and well textured meats, especially the lamb--it is irresistible! Very disappointing. I visited Ranoush late one night while returning from a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Its open till 3 AM on weekends, and was one of the very few places in the area serving food when i went just a little before midnight. Actually all I wanted was a doner kebab. But I guess Kensington does not have many of the roadside cheap kebab shops that the people from the rest of London take for granted. I ordered a lamb shwarma and chips. The shwarma was priced at £14 ... inordinately high in my opinion. The plate was half full with meat, and the remaining part of the dish had salad. The meat was simply poorly made. It was very dry, not juicy at all. Either the quality of the raw material was poor or it had been made the day before. Since I was paying £14 for that, it hurt. The chips cost £3.50. It was hot and very good. But there was too much of it ... for at least two persons. They didn't sell a single portion, and so I, unwillingly, had to waste half the dish. The service level was mixed. They were cordial but unattentive. It was difficult to call someone to the table without actually shouting out aloud. Although I went to Ranoush without any high expectations, they managed to severely disappoint me. It was a poor end to an otherwise great evening. read more
