We were seated at the shared table but only one other person was at this large table. The food here is phenomenal. We got the prawns, butter chicken, naan, and roti. The butter chicken was one of the best I've ever had. The prawns were spiced really well and the lemon added a nice sour flavor. The naan was also super soft. I was impressed by the service as well. They took the time to explain the menu to us. When the roti came out a bit cold, they brought us a new one and offered us a voucher to return. Really amazing people running this place. Will absolutely return when I'm in London again.

We got the following: - Dishoom Margarita - Baba's Sesame Espresso Martini - Dishoom House Chaat: this was an explosion of flavour! Had the sweetness of the pomegranate but also sour from the yogurt and spicy! Definitely recommend this one as a starter. 9/10 - Chicken Ruby: Dishoom's take on traditional butter chicken. Very deep flavour on this and less spicy than the other items we ordered, if you are sensitive to spice you will like this one. 8/10 - Garlic Naan: our choice of vehicle for the chicken ruby! 8/10 - Nalli Nihari Biryani: This was the star of the show and is the chef's Kensington special - only at this location! It is a lamb biryani served in a puff pastry. The waiter (kudos to Rosario) can cut it open for you and is served with sauce, onion, and yogurt on the side. Serves 2, so make sure you come hungry! 9/10 - Dishoom Chocolate Pudding: This is served with a Kashmiri chili ice cream. Super delicious and very unique. I might entertain a chili oil ice cream in the future because of this. 7/10 This was our first night in London and we were not disappointed! Worth the hype!

Process is: order after your seat via QR Code at the table or at the front counter. I was amazed that another customer wanted special treatment to skip the line. The manager handled it well. Controlled chaos. The food was fantastic! Great flavors. My friend had the Butterfly Chicken and I had a Beanie Wrap with Lemon Herb added "mild" sauce, which still has a slight kick for me. They have a large selection of different "hot" sauces - something for everyone. For dessert, I had a Toffee Apple Pastel de Nata. I love this dessert and Nando's Toffee Apple was fantastic!!! Great flavor. The overall atmosphere is lively and fun. They have toilets downstairs and a seating area good for large groups. Upstairs is a single easy access toilet. I stopped in on a different day to buy another Toffee Apple Pastel de Nata.

You have to be waited to be seated but we had no issue at prime dinner time. Atmosphere is of a causal restaurant. Menu is accessible via a QR code and you can order the mean for the table and pay for it via the website on your mobile. Food is then delivered to your table. I got the 1/4 chicken with side of broccoli and peas and an extra side of their chips. I was told that we can order the 1/4 chicken in thing or breast but the app did not have an option for it. The head waiter said he can verbally ask the kitchen to do a breast for me but at the end I got a thigh. I didn't want to make a fuss and wait for a breast so I ate the 1/4 chicken thigh that was super small. I highly urge anyone considering this to get 1/2 chicken. The peas was nothing to write home about and I would avoid next time. I also got the broccolini which were delish. The chips were different and nothing special and I am glad I got a small size as it was enough for the 3 of us to try. My wife got the Caesar salad with chicken breast. I don't thrill she was very happy with it and it didn't look particularly appetizing. My son was happy with his double breast meal. We all agreed that the best tasting item was the halloumi cheese appetizer. I would give this place a solid 3. Although my son thought it was a 4 and we just didn't order the right stuff ;)

Come and thirst-quenching oriental cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere! Chef William Chow opened his first 36-seater 'Indo-Chinese' cafe in West London twenty-seven years ago. The cafe was born out of his great passion for the different dishes in this specific Southeast Asian region, including Singaporean, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Malaysian and Thai cuisine. Banana Tree strives to bring us exotic flavours that are often not available outside of this Southeast Asian region. I wanted to start the meal trying the crispy vegetable dumplings with spicy, sweet and sour sauce. Believe it or not, that was the first time I had fried dumplings instead of steamed ones. I was surprised by the crunchiness of the batter in contrast with the warm and soft filling made of cooked vegetables. Their sauce was quite spicy, I have to say, but real Thai food is actually super spicy! My main was a Bun Bo Vietnamese salad with chicken satay skewers. It's called salad, but it's more like a Buddah bowl in my opinion. The dish looks like a large bowl of rice noodle garnished with fresh vegetables, crumbled nuts, crispy sautéed spring onions with a huge shrimp chip and mini spring rolls on top, all seasoned with delicious Nuoc Cham sauce. It can give you the impression it's a nonsense dish, but I give you my word that works! I started with crispy rolls because nobody likes cold-eaten spring rolls! I continued with the chicken skewers (they offer a seitan option as well). After that, I could easily mix all the remaining ingredients with the sweet and slightly spicy Nuoc Cham sauce to give them flavour. The dining experience was something new and fun to me, completely different from what my conception of food is! At the end of the meal, I decided to spoil myself with dessert. I ordered the "Frotiteroles" that apart from having a lame name was a complete disaster. They tried to make profiteroles out of bananas. A sort of battered and fried chunks of banana, moistened with sweet chocolate syrup; needless to say that both taste and consistency made me sick, they gave me the impression of eating a way too mature splattered banana. Fortunately, I had a scoop of mango sorbet that saved me from this infamous dessert!

The foods here are mediocre. When I looked at the menu and one of the dish is called Bun Bo, but…read morethe ingredients have zero "Bo", which mean beef, that must be a clue. The pad Thai lack palm sugar and tamarind flavor. The texture is good. The color is good. The presentation is good. The flavor is lacking. The beef Rendang is ok. Good tender meat. Could use a tad more flavor. But it's not bad.
