This is my third time here at The Meat Co. and wouldn't mind coming back here every once in a while. The average meal per person here including a cocktail, starter, mains + service charges can go anywhere between £40 - £80 (depending if you get the steak or not). It's not the cheapest place to have steaks. I've had better steaks else where, but I do enjoy the service and the restaurant as a whole. Today I am having the 200g Cheese Burger - £13.50, comes with chips. They forgot to ask how I wanted my beef cooked, so it came well done. They do serve decent food, I wouldn't say it's mind blowing but it's neither bad. Not much to complain about. I would bring friends and family, they have a huge dining area. Its kids friendly and they also serve a halal menu. There's also 5pm - 9pm happy hours on selected cocktails, but it's only available on the bottom floor/ bar area. read more

My experience at The Meat Co was, well, kind of terrible. My wife and I were seated and placed our order with no issues. Our starter was brought out quickly. From this point on things went downhill VERY SLOWLY (I say slowly as that is how the rest of our order was brought out). We sat there for about 40 minutes after the starter tray was removed. During this time, another party of 5 people came in and sat right behind us, ordered, had their entire meal brought out, and our order was still not brought out. Mind you, we did not order anything special. The the manager walked by and asked me "Is everything ok?" I said NO our food was not there and our drink cups were both empty. I asked for a refill on my wife's Coke and my Water, he did have the drinks refilled and had the chops to actually ring out the refill on the coke BEFORE refilling the drink. He did nothing else to check on the other issues or even offer to see what the problem was. Our original server was totally missing in action. One other server cleared the starter plate and then another brought the meal when it finally came. Just terrible service! Near the end, our original server came back and brought the bill. I paid via my Amex and she asked if I wanted to add a tip. I said "No, not this time", to which she responded "I did kind of leave you stranded for a while". Mind you, I don't like not tipping. I know they make their living from the tips, but when the service was this terrible, I just could not bring myself to tip. This is the first time in my life I did not tip a server, so that should tell you how bad the service and management staff was. Then if all this was not enough, on my Amex I was billed twice for the meal. I would tell anyone that is looking for someplace in Westfield to eat, do NOT eat at The Meat Co. read more

A lovely restaurant and something that adds glamour to the Souther Terrace Restaurants in Westfield. Went with a friend for Sunday afternoon get your belly full meal and pleased that this place did not disappoint. As soon as you enter there is a larger than life bar. I did not get the chance to try the cocktails as I wanted my MEAT. Had a beer and ordered the RIBS and being a RIB CONNOISSEUR around London I have found the place that does the best RIBS in London. The Beef Ribs were to die for. The meat was falling of the bone, tender and full of flavour. They had been so slow cooked and was chewing on the bone. I had the Vodka and Blue Cheese Dressing that was strong. Perfect. My friend had the Waygu Beef Burger which he ate without talking to me. Watching him eat and stay quiet was hilarious as he was clearly enjoying it. The service was good and the staff did explain the dishes very well and did not disappoint with their choices and had them spot on. I advised that I thought I knew RIBS and clearly did not till I visited here. If you love your meat and wine the the name of the restaurant clearly explains itself. You can chill and watch the latest London craze of Westfield buzz around you. The meat choice were very good and different cuts of Beef were on offer. Chicken, Ribs, Fish and a Daily Changed Veggie option is also available. Money well spent. I am celebrating my birthday here next week with 20 other foodies and will be interested in their opinions. Waited to be sat took 20 minutes....once we sat down we never even got a look our way and for the fancy place and trust me I don't mind paying for a good place ...anyways waited another 20 minutes and left once we got up they came trying to serve us... sorry too late. I was walking through westfield mall trying to decide on a place to eat. Just as my friend and I were about to give up we stumbled upon The meat & wine Co. We were VERY surprised to learn that they offer a full halal menu! This is a big deal considering the name alone, but they offered background info on how they've paired up with The Meat Co, Middle East/Africa, to offer a Halal selection. We were seated upstairs promptly. Atmosphere was beautiful and chic. Service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and kind. To start we ordered the bruschetta which was delicious! For my main course I ordered a 200gm filet and it was cooked exactly to my liking. I ordered a side of peppercorn sauce which was out of this world. The steak itself was robust! I can't stop raving about how great this experience was, especially for a halal steakhouse. If you are on a halal diet I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place. Having spent all of my Westfield dining experiences East in Stratford, it was time to switch to West. So I did and what a way to be introduced. As you come out of Shepherds Bush and turn left onto the shopping centre concourse you are greeted by the usual suspects such as Ping Pong, Carluccio's and Busaba Eathai. I am not saying I have anything against these, in fact the latter two are favourites of mine from the high street chains. However, nothing prepared me for The Meat Co. Sometimes you just want something different, something special and I hereby serve it to you on a silver plate. The ground floor is delightful, but you must go upstairs because the staircase is actually the beginning of the theatre that this dining experience offers. The spiral steps, enveloped with glass cased fine wine displays sets the scene of luxury. The decor reminds me of one of my favourite restaurants in Hong Kong, Wooloo Mooloo which specialises in meat too. On the ground floor, the long narrow restaurant at The Meat Co is like a subdued catwalk, all rich, sensual and velvety. The rustic colour tones are calming and sets the scene for some serious meat action. The team behind this restaurant are no strangers to creating epic dining spaces with establishments in Dubai, Greece and Australia. For this bold step into London, there are a few things that warm my heart about this place. Firstly, it's the service, it borders on fine dining but is just informal enough to make you feel comfortable. Then there is the fact that they have my favourite wine of all time, The Chocolate Block. I was first tempted with this blended red at Drapers Arm, then in Franschhoek (its origin of creation) and now here with its subtle notes of chocolate, hence the name. It felt like all my Christmases had come early. It as decentred expertly by our lovable waiter and waited patiently until we could have our first taste. Yum. The third thing was its two individual menus, one of which was Halal. This is an idea regularly missed out on the high street and mainstream, mostly restricted to certain areas, but I salute The Meat Co for carrying on its theme from Dubai being inclusive. Now we arrive at my fourth favourite thing, the food. The menu is certainly not fitting for staunch vegetarians or vegans, it's all about the meat the way I like it. My now regular dining companion had the salt and pepper calamari to start. I had the peri peri king prawns and whilst this may conjure up images of Nandos, its far away from that set up. The marinade was less acidic and did not have a taste of being mass produced - sorry Nandos. For our mains we both had fillet steak. I had mine with half a lobster to create my favourite dish of surf and turf. The waiter suggested a Portuguese side sauce which had a subtle tomato and chilli flavour, not too overpowering for the dish. Pranvera had the fillet steak topped with foie gras and a side of blue cheese sauce. The meat was prepared more on the rare side and literally melted in one's mouth. Zero veins or chewiness, just tender meat to dip into our sauces. The lobster meat was also great without any skimping on the portion. As a supporting cast to this award winning food production, we had sides of creamed spinach, chips and garlic mushrooms. Everything about this dining experience screamed being away on holiday in some exotic city. Having travelled to Hong Kong, Singapore and New York, it did not feel like I was settled in a shopping centre next to a dual carriageway in West London. Do not be put off by its location, The Meat Co is the luxury choice for dining at Westfield. read more

This place deserves a 5 star all the way! Tender juicy steak that's actually HALAL! 2 words: Wagyu beef! I've been to a lot of good steak houses since I don't eat only zabihah/halal, but this by far has been my favorite steak of all time. This place is trendy and service is good. I would go back to London even for like a day just to eat here again! The food was atrocious. I got the cheeseburger, "medium", which was so tough that I was able to push on it quite hard with my finger without breaking the surface. Meanwhile, the "onion rings" were more like fried batter strips, without anything to really identify them as onions ("oh look, a bit of red!"). My companions got steaks that they thought were awful, though they assured me that on previous occasions (on all-you-can-eat rib night) the food was better. I'll give it one more shot for the ribs, but I won't be going back otherwise. To its benefit, the restaurant is a very large, and interestingly decorated space. The toilets are individual rooms that share a massive sink space cunningly hidden behind a massive glass wine rack, which looked like an impressive selection (though my teetotaller status means I cannot comment on its quality). read more

Ok - a work dinner, a client taking myself and 4 colleagues out. Drinks in the downstairs bar area were brought to us by friendly good looking staff. A selection of African and European beers on offer were interesting with decor a cosy orange glow. very warm and welcoming start. Led up to a private room for our main meal. My calamari starter was reminiscent of onion rings, that's not a problem i quite like onion ring, served with a small amount of leaves and a simple dressing. Next up the star of the set menu - the SUPER AGED Australian Steak and Chips. My Steak was a well seasoned gristle & fat ridden spaniels ear with a side of chips. Our wine was average and i was not provided with a glass having to ask for one 3 times and waiting 25 minutes to receive one. I wouldn't go back here. the food was average. the staff were obviously busy with other people. read more

We visited Meat and Wine in White City shopping centre as the name appealled to us, we love steak and wine so why not? sadly we found the overall experience disappointing, the ambience was very muted and service wasnt attentive at all. The wine was mediocre and there was no advice in this area the name however would suggest the matching of wine to the meal would be an area of speciality. The meat was dry and chewy and my prawn and steak kebab was quite vulgar as it was so large it was taller than me and it all felt a little tacy and over the top, i would have prepared quality over quantity. The vaue for money was not great either due to all of the above points, such a shame as the concept has such potential. read more

Avoid the lamb loin. I wasn't hugely hungry so avoided the steaks which in hindsight may have been a mistake. Lovely people and a decent wine list. They served my bottle a tad warm and were very accommodating when I asked for an ice bucket to chill it down. First time here. Service was good. Food was great. Steaks with blue cheese sauce....yum!

Not usually into eating in Shopping Centers, but this place was recommended by a nearby Hotel Concierge as a good place for a steak and he was not wrong. Has a sidewalk patio for people watching, but if you go upstairs it also has a nice outside balcony overlooking the walkway below also for people watching. Tried Kangaroo steak which was very nice and different. Good service with wine by the glass. read more

Yum. I have never been able to eat a halal steak of this caliber anywhere else in the world, so I was pretty blown away. Wagyu beef? Whaaat. All I can say is listening to opera makes cows delicious! Yum! I also loved the Boerewo (African beef sausage with a tomato-based sauce and polenta). The ambience was also quite nice. I recently had to meet with a potential client based in Shepherd's Bush and she suggested we go here. It was particularly convenient for me coming from the Tube and would make an ideal pit stop for shopping expeditions to Westfield. I can't comment on the menu as I only had a Diet Coke but it looked worth trying (with a bit of a South African and Moroccan slant as far as I could tell). As the name makes clear, this isn't an ideal destination for vegetarians but they still will find decent options. What I really liked about this place was the spacious outdoor seating. It was an ideal setting for my meeting, and I'll be sure to keep it in mind for future occasions. read more

Went with a group of 8, and was a lovely experience. Bar downstairs is inviting, and table was well set. Very nice selection of wines to choose from - we had 3 or 4 bottles by the time it was all said and done. I imagine this helped our service, as our waiter was very attentive to our needs, but I doubt we would have had the same service if we would have been splitting a side salad and water. Starters were nice if a bit small, and everyone enjoyed their main course (the ribs were very nice), and the dessert sampler was especially delightful. read more

Went with family for a mother's day celebration and we were very well looked after and had the best service and very relaxing time there. I came here for my 24th Birthday last year. Although that day was quite frankly a disappointment the food and drink served was fantastic. I will say it is on the pricey side of things but then good meat and wine will never be cheap (and if you do know where it is both good and cheap - let me know!) I ate here with a friend fully expecting to have a good meal. Instead what we got was that we found our waitress a bit too familiar, too chatty when what we really wanted was a chance to catch up with each other as we don't often get the chance to meet up. Still, that was something we could have overlooked but possibly as a result of her being hell bent on telling us her life story she managed to get our order wrong. Instead of offering to correct this, (it was I think your mixed starter), and getting us the right food, this was ignored by her when we pointed it out. From that moment she became decidedly less chatty - she seemed to take particular umbrage with me as she wouldn't even look me in the eye - and the service was to say the least intermittent. When, after we had finished our main course and found ourselves at a table with no food or drink on it for several minutes we took the hint and ended our meal early. As for the quality of the food, we found the mixed starter to be, well of mixed quality and the main we had was the Springbok. Diners ordering it that like venison will be disappointed. over all an extremely bad experience and as there are so many restaurants at that location I would strongly suggest you try one of them instead. read more

I had the misfortune to chance upon this eatery at the Westfield shopping centre last Friday evening. From the outside it looked promising, but as the old adage goes, never just a restaurant by its snazzy decor. We were lead upstairs to our table to check out the menu, and at a first glance it was clear this was an expensive joint. So expensive in fact that I held back on ordering a cocktail. This is essentially a steak restaurant, selling top quality meat at eye watering prices. Some of the steaks were £50 each (even more expensive than Gaucho!). We ordered chicken wings to share as a starter and some new york strips with chips for mains. There were only 4 chicken wings in the starter (which cost £9!). The steak was delicious I have to admit, tender juicy and lovely. But that's the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars. The chips were something I'd expect from an Aberdeen Steakhouse, and the peppercorn sauce tasted revolting. The side of vegetables were as limp as my wrist when I held the bill at the end of the night. We paid £120 for a meal that was just ok when we could have paid half that for something much MUCH better elsewhere. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

In view of the fact you are announced to upstairs by radio one would think they would be prepared for you. (No cutlery when we came to eat.) When the waiter showed up We gave him an order for Breads and Olives. He returned to take our drinks order as one of our party were away. Breads came but no drinks. Eventually they showed up but in the case of two of the drinks they came with ice. They were taken away and returned minus the ice leaving a watery concoction. At the time we ordered another bottle of water which took 25 minutes more to materialise, only to have a further bottle arrive 5 minutes after that that we had not ordered. No condiments offered and my wires order was without the Signature fries. Waiter finally showed up and asked if all was OK and was told no. Told us He was here for us after returning with wife's fries and then promptly disappeared. Overall this place has gone downhill since it opened. Not the best Birthday dinner I have eaten. Left without desert as all in my party felt deflated. read more
