Had a taste for pizza, went with Randy's ordered 12 or 14" pizzas. One was 1/2 pepperoni & the other side was plain on one pizza. The other pizza was like Hawaiian with jalapenos on it. We noticed the crust being extremely thin & almost not there. slices were extremely small, the middle of the 1/2 & 1/2 pizza was very soft, almost not cooked dough sort of. Same with the Hawaiian one. The taste for both were ok, but I am from NY & this might favor NY pizza in look, but it's definitely not NY pizza. We also ordered boneless wings, they had flavor, were coated well, the dipping sauces sucked so we used our own dipping sauce from some leftover Korean fried chicken sauce. We also ordered two beef gyros. I know of some people who probably would say this was the best gyro ever, however, again I would disagree. This was one of the worst! It seemed rushed it its cooking process. There was minimum flavor in the meat, & the meat was entirely too soft in texture. The onions on it seemed to be of old taste. The cucumber sauce was totally not me or my son. I used cucumber ranch salad dressing on it in hopes that it would be better, I later felt a little nauseous after eating it. Two very large slices of pizza on their lunch specials menu and a drink, less than $10. Huge and well topped with a "tangy" barbecue sauce and a lot of chicken. One slice would have been enough but Mister Eyes-Bigger-Than-Belly placed the order and so here I am with half of a slice of pizza that I'm not possibly going to eat. Friendly service and good pie. I've popped in a few afternoons to pick up a free weekly newspaper but recently stopped in for lunch on a Friday. It was night and day. It was very busy and almost full at lunchtime but much quieter later. Food quality is okay, nothing spectacular, but they do offer daily specials and the prices are pretty reasonable. Absolutely horrible experience. I called in an order for a steak and cheese sandwich no onions, they gave me a chicken cheesesteak with onions. I called once I got home and realized the order was wrong. The guy wasn't listening AT all I repeated my issue 3 times. Afterwards I asked for the general manager not the store manager. Well a lady named Danielle Matthews picked up saying she's the GM and that I needed to bring the sub back up and they will make the order. I said I'm in for the night and she said well that's all we can do for you. I said what about the lack of listening and poor customer service, I then asked for her manager (mind you I said I would come up the next day to get the sub remade correctly) she said I can go to the website and find that information she's busy with customers and can't. What GM is in the store? I said well I want someone to listen back at the call bc the guy didn't listen (guy whispers in the background that they keyed it in wrong) I asked for her manager info again and she refused then hung up on me. We got our pizza at the Miami location, and it WAS good. Lots of pepperoni but the other 3 toppings were pretty slim. The crust and sauce were terrific. They lose points for their customer service. I ordered online and they gave me a pickup time about 30 minutes after. We arrived about 10 minutes early, and I let them know I was there and signed the credit card slip. They told me they would call my name when the order was ready. 15 minutes AFTER our supposed pickup time, I asked about my order. Turned out that it had been sitting on top of the ovens for who knows how long. The guy gave it to me saying "it's still hot". No apology. Not even a thank you for your business. Oh Randy, I don't know who you are but you make a damn good slice of pizza! Za with great crust, gooey cheese and a slice so large it may require its own zip code... I've had Randy's pizza before as take-out but wanted to see what it was like at the restaurant. The place is a serious pizzeria, one of the biggest I've seen! Must seat at least 70 people and I'm guessing the place is packed with the RTP business lunch crowd during the week. For a bit over $7 you get two slices, one-topping and a drink. A bit pricier than some other options but take a look at my picture of the slices, it's so big! Randy's crust is excellent: thin, crisp, sturdy enough to handle the cheese and toppings with good bite. Sauce and cheese go on in the right proportions and there was plenty of sausage and pepperoni thrown on top. Uhm-uhm, what a great slice for the Triangle area! Service was really quick and the guys working the place are definitely pro's. Polite and fast service is what you'll get here. You've got red pepper flakes, oregano and grated cheese on each table if you want to bling out your slice. What can I say but I was impressed and want to come back for a whole pie. Until then, Randy's is definitely at the top of my NY thin-crust pizza pantheon along with Fugghedaboudit and NY Pizza in Cary... And Yelp review #400 is in the books, woohoo! read more

Overall I'm a fan. Came here years ago and can't recall how I felt about them then. But many years have passed since then and I must say it was actually really goodb this time around. The pizzas are gigantic. They do offer smaller sizes, but the ones that came with combo #1 are huge so you do get your money's worth. They are super thin and taste great. This place is sort of a fast food type, pizza assembly line - no frills, no ambience, rather noisy, and a little chaotic, especially when it is crowded, and it gets crowded quickly at lunch time. There are a number of Randy's Pizza restaurants in the Durham/Raleigh area, most seem connected, but this one does not - assume they were connected at one time. You line up, place your order at the register & pay, give them your name or they give up a number, and you wait to be called, or to have your order brought to your table. They are constantly calling out names as orders are ready, so it is noisy, and rather irritating. We ordered the 2 Slices of pizza, 1 topping and a drink for $6.78, a trip thru to the Salad Bar ($3.50), and Baked Spaghetti with 3 Garlic Knots for $9. The trip thru the salad bar was very ordinary - tired 3 different dressings, didn't care for any of them. The Baked Spaghetti came with meat balls, and was covered in cheese, but the tomato sauce was sweet, and otherwise bland - served in a tin foil container. Wouldn't order the spaghetti again, nor go thru the salad bar. The pizza slices here are definitely large, and the crust is thin, but if this is NY pizza, then it is Brooklyn style, with a floppy crust - no body to it. The taste of the crust is very good, the cheese was nice, and the pepperoni was excellent. If in the area, I'd definitely stop in again for the pizza. They offer whole Specialty Pizzas, build your own whole pizzas, subs, salads, apps, calzone, stromboli, and Italian pasta dinners. I passed on their version of the stromboli because it included mushrooms & sausage, but not ham. Pricing seems reasonable especially in light of the size of the slices, and the service is friendly, and reasonably quick. But, as I said, it is noisy, and nothing here is particularly relaxing. We're done. We started coming here 2015. The staff was cool, the pizza and sandwiches were awesome! Better than the other branches of the chain. It was our go to pizza place. Quality was excellent. Marinara was made fresh. A year or two before Covid things changed. Staff was still cool, but the quality was slipping. Marinara tasted just like a squeezed tomato. We've stayed because things would go up and down in the quality. One night bland or lots of mistakes in the order, and other close to what it used to be. The last several times it's not worth it. The flavor and quality seem gone. Maybe trying to save money, but manicotti and others dinners have less and less cheese. Sandwiches are a mouthful of lettuce. Garlic knots are oil with little garlic flavor. Pizza dough doesn't have the same flavor it did. read more

Love this NY style pizza spot for a a slice or two at lunch! It's casual and quick. They serve up many slices at lunch time to cater to local office workers in the RTP area. Lunch specials of the day are always available. Their crust, cheese, sauce and toppings are always solid and reliable. I haven't gotten a stromboli or any of their subs, but they look good! If you're looking for a good lunch spot, I recommend Randy's. read more

I recently placed two orders from Randy's within a week of one another. The pizza was good the customer serviced is poor. The orders were the same - 1 large plain cheese pizza and 1 large pepperoni/cheese pizza. The first order included 1/2 dozen garlic knots. The first order was $39.78 - which credited me for $5 because my order was over $25. The second order was $43.50 and did not include garlic knots ort a $5.00 credit. I called and asked why I did not receive a $5.00 credit or garlic knots. I was advised that you restaurant has new staff that were being trained and they did not credit my bill. I received an apology but was told that they could not do anything about the $5.00 credit. I was surprised and feel that is poor customer service. Since your staff made an error I believe you should correct the error. Evidently, your staff needs more training and I need to find another pizza restaurant. I would appreciate a response. read more

Wow, talk about a HUGE pie! I walked in for takeout just in time as a crowd of about 20 people walked in behind me 2 minutes later. The pie for my office was ready and I talked it up with the guy at the counter about the yelp ratings for Randy's. So, I'm torn between A-OK and Yay! I'm a fan. The service is awesome, the pizza is huge, the crust is great and the slices hang off both sides of a plate. On the downside, the toppings seemed a little skimpy, and for pizza, it just seemed so-so, the taste didn't "wow" me the way the size did. Another plus, though, is value for the money. That huge pie with 4 toppings was $18.99 + tax (coupon will take a buck off). If you think that Randy's Pizza is your standard, chain pizza restaurant that you can call just so they can deliver your pizza, then you're wrong. They are a local chain, it is a normal pizza restaurant, and you can call to order pizza, but it is not what you expect. Randy's Pizza is pretty big in size, but that's not the only thing that is big. Their pizzas and pizza slices are huge!!! Their pizzas are delicious too, even with the fact that it's a bit greasy. The toppings are what make Randy's pizza different. Randy's Pizzas allow you to pick toppings that you not usually see on pizza such as eggplant, chicken or spinach. Salads are available to complement the pizza. I think choosing a salad is a good idea because the pizza may feel a little heavy to you, but the salad is light, fresh, and healthy! The only thing that was wrong with the salad was that some of the leaves were brown and could've been fresher. Randy's pizza is the place to go if you want some good pizza. read more

Best place in the region. Hands down. We moved here in 2003 and someone had it delivered to the office and I was hooked for life. They have pizza by the slice, which are bigger than the paper plates. Liberal topping application. Wide variety of toppings and They have ordering and cooking down to a machine during the lunch rush. I used to work real close to here and ate here weekly for years. Unfortunately my job changed and I'm no longer within a 5 min drive like I used to be but any time I come home from an airport trip within a few hours of dinner I'll meet the family here. They have calzones, stromboli, grinders, wings, and a few ither Italian dishes. There are also garlic knots which are just awesome bite sized garlic buttery goodness. Staff is excellent and friendly, I'd you're a regular they remember you and their staff has a really low turnover too so they must treat them right. If you're in a hurry I've found the lulls between waves at lunch are usually 11:20, 11;50, and 12:20. Yeah, I went there a lot. Prices excellent and they have great take out specials after 4 to get something on the way home. They expanded their dine in area a few years ago if you haven't been there recently. Also serve beer now. If your visiting RTP it's real close to cisco, IBM, and NetApp. Worth skipping any cafeteria food for sure. read more
