Until the glorious incarnation of Randy's Pizza (first at a little strip mall spot in SW Durham), there was very little acceptable pizza in the Triangle (unless you were willing to journey to J&S in Apex, of course). Randy himself, with artisan skill and bold mullet, expertly made the pizzas and calzones. Now, the clear success of that first pizzeria has begotten many branches of the Randy's empire. They are generally all superior to any other local option I've encountered -- whether national chains, strip mall pizzerias, or fancypants pizza restaurants. The quality varies greatly, though, as you'd expect -- pizza is an art, and a lot depends on who is crafting it. A branch that is very good can be that way for years and then, after new staff, could become mediocre. And vice-versa, of course. The only constant is that if you happen to be at a branch when Randy himself shows up, it's going to be excellent. And also, I think, his son is out there somewhere at one of the branches, and he, too, has the gift. At the moment, of the Randy-less Randy's locations, this one, on Miami Blvd, in July 2026, is the current jewel of the crown. It's actually been quite good for several years now, even through different pizzaioli. A good sign. If you're in the Triangle, and it's 2026, head over to this Randy's and you won't be disappointed. It can usually hold its own amongst its brethren in Philly/Jersey/NY/Boston/Etc. (To be specific, Randy's house style is really more Pennsylvania than New York -- which is what I prefer -- with a thinner Pennsylvania crust rather than the heft of a NY crust). But, if you're around here in the Triangle, you probably know that already, and have probably eaten at a Randy's more than once -- heck, I'm not sure why anyone would read this review in the first place! read more

Since my family had a craving for pizza, I stopped here since was conveniently on my way. I ordered a 16 incher, half with sausage and mushrooms and the other half with tomato and bacon. The guy taking my order at the counter spoke very quietly and we had to go through the order two additional times. But I actually appreciate that because he wanted to make sure he got it right. The pizza took about 20 minutes to make and in the meantime, they let me have a small cup to grab a fountain drink. And they do offer a good variety of Coke products, plus sweet and unsweet tea. There is one unisex restroom, but fortunately, it was kept clean. I did have an issue that the paper towel dispenser was empty. As for the pizza, it was solid. Crust was NY style thin, crispy at the top with a little chew, and thankfully, no big air bubbles. Unfortunately, the undercarriage flopped straight down; in my opinion, there should be some crispiness on the bottom. Good quality sauce and cheese as well, and everything was well proportioned. Even the box is great, with the preforated part that allows it to become smaller for storing leftovers. read more

Randy's is hands down my favorite lunch pizza spot in the Raleigh area especially if you know the move is showing up right around 12pm when the place is buzzing for a reason. The value is unbeatable: huge New York-style slices, affordable prices, and consistently solid quality. This is the kind of spot that understands what lunch pizza should be. The daily special slices are where Randy's really shines. The NY White is perfectly garlicky and creamy, the Don Vito is loaded with flavor, and the Meat Lovers slice is exactly what it sounds like. If you're looking for fancy, this isn't it but if you want big slices, great flavor, and a reliable go-to lunch spot, Randy's is elite. A Raleigh staple for a reason. ***This Randy's is leaps and bounds above the rest. This location has a different recipe than the rest and I will only go to this location. read more

Amazing food, exceptional service and it was so nice to revisit. I live only miles down the road but never make it down S. Miami. Today, I changed that. Long ago, when we went to an office, I would meet my brother who worked next door at Lenovo. It was always the Chicken Parm sub! The place still feels the same and smells of great Italian food. Delicious. Every bite was like taking a step back in time. We will be back. Oh, and dare I say, the French fries sprinkled with parm was also a heavenly memory. They might be the best fries I have ever had! Get the chicken parm sub and you will not be disappointed! read more

Have good pizza would help me eat there again. Same with the slice of dough that Jonny's serves. All bread, no sauce, dry, tasteless

If you like big slices, then this is top of the list. 2 slices is a meal. Thin slices, great pizza great service too. Open space tv's boxes to take home leftovers . A place to go back to again. read more

Solid thin crust pizza, a little bit pricey, but also a good selection of local favorites. I ordered 10 pizza pies for a company event, and I was happy that they had a selection of vegetarian pizzas, pizzas without pork or beef, and even pizzas without tomatoes. This made sure that I could meet everyone's dietary restrictions. I ordered the pizzas for 11:45 a.m., but they arrived at 11:00 a.m. That's a pretty big difference, and so the pizza was pretty cold by the time that lunch came around. Other than that, I feel like they provided everything that you would ask for in a pizza place. read more

Idk why the reviews are so low. The pizza is SOOOO good. The customer service was also really nice. They didn't have one of the desserts I ordered. They called me to let me know. & it was FINE because the red velvet cake ABSOLUTELY made up for not having the Oreo cake. the delivery was super fast too. I hope the reviews improve because this place is going to be my go-to place for pizza. read more

The pizza itself was delicious, and it's clearly a popular lunch destination, but the customer service was disappointing. As a first-time visitor, I had a few simple questions about the menu options. Instead of a helpful response, the woman handling checkout around 12:15pm was rude and raised her voice at me for asking. That kind of treatment is not okay, especially for someone new to the restaurant. read more

I'm a local truck driver. I stopped in during my 30-minute lunch. I ordered a Phily Cheesesteak, fries, and a drink. I sat down waiting patiently for my order as they were busy, after waiting 20 minutes I went to check on my order and was told that it was coming out. When my food arrived, the sandwich and fries were visibly burnt. I went to the counter and asked for a refund, the manager asked if I wanted another sandwich, I told him no because I don't have time to wait. I said, "I waited 20 minutes to get burnt food and a drink." He replied, "At least you got a free drink." Is this how Randy's train managers to respond when they provide burnt food on purpose? So disgusted with this place. read more

Waited over an hour for a pizza. No updates the whole time I waited. Not worth the wait AT ALL!!

Really tasty NY style pizza! They have great lunch specials and a large dining space with indoor and outdoor seating. We had the daily special with 2 slices and a fountain drink for $9.99. You can use your phone number to get points and use for pizzas down the road with enough points. Service was great and pizza slices were yummy . read more

Title: Unprofessional Staff and Disturbing Treatment as a Dasher I am writing this review as a DoorDash driver, but it speaks to a larger issue of customer (and contractor) service at this establishment. Tonight, I arrived to pick up an order for a client. Standard procedure for any delivery driver is to confirm the order details before leaving the restaurant. I politely asked the employee at the register to place the bag on the counter so I could verify the ticket against my app. She refused. She would not place the order on the counter for me to confirm. There was no explanation, no attempt to help--just a flat refusal. When I persisted in my (perfectly reasonable) request, other staff members chimed in to defend her behavior and told me to just leave with the order without confirmation. Their solution was for me to potentially take the wrong order, jeopardizing my rating and my customer's meal, rather than simply placing the bag on the counter for five seconds. As an African American man, I am acutely aware of how I am treated differently in certain spaces. The outright refusal to perform a basic, standard part of the pickup process, combined with the staff ganging up to dismiss my concerns, felt targeted and unprofessional. I was not asking for special treatment; I was asking to do my job correctly. I ultimately had to leave without properly confirming the order, feeling disrespected and humiliated. I cannot recommend this pizza place, not because of the food, but because of the conduct of its staff. They created a hostile environment over a simple request. Option 2: To be More Direct and Concise Title: Felt Discriminated Against As a Black Dasher I will never pick up from Randy's Pizza again. As a DoorDash driver, I came to pick up an order and asked the woman at the register to put the food on the counter so I could confirm it was correct--a standard practice. She refused to do it. She wouldn't even acknowledge the request. Then, her coworkers jumped in and told me to just take the order and leave, instead of supporting their colleague in just doing her job. As an African American, the way I was treated felt discriminatory. I was denied a basic courtesy that is essential for my job, and then ganged up on when I asked for it. The staff here is unprofessional and created a hostile situation out of nothing. Do better, Randy's. Option 3: For Official DoorDash Merchant Feedback This version is tailored for reporting within the DoorDash app itself, which is crucial. Merchant Feedback: Issue with Order Pickup I experienced severe unprofessionalism and what I believe to be discriminatory treatment while picking up order The register employee refused to allow me to confirm the order by placing it on the counter. Other employees defended her refusal and instructed me to leave without confirmation. This is a violation of standard pickup procedure and made completing my delivery contract correctly impossible. The refusal to perform a simple, standard task and the defensive group behavior from the staff made me feel targeted as an African American driver. I felt disrespected and unable to perform my job. This merchant creates a hostile environment for Dashers. read more

food was good and the store is clean and they fries was good and the pizza is worth your money you should buy It

We ordered delivery, and they messed up our order ($30 for one 10in pizza). We contacted them about the issue, and they refused to help in anyway and hung up on us. They are rude, and the food we could eat tasted like cardboard. Go somewhere else, fast. read more

A terrific pizza for a midday meal. You order at the counter, then they bring it to your table. It's in a busy area with many different options for lunch. Seems to cater to the local working crowd. One of the best thin crust pies I've had. First meal on our trip south and it was excellent. The cashier was nice and helpful. We don't live in the area, but if we pass through the area again, we'd absolutely return. read more

I ordered through grub hub so I can't place blame on anyone in particular. However most places use seals on items so this doesn't happen. I opened my box and to my surprise I got someone's pube. I was looking forward to this place. Now I have to try a different one. read more

I was lucky enough to find this place for lunch while traveling. It's a must try if you like NY pizza

This is the real NY-style pizza. Very, very, very thin slice... which is how I like it. Get the plain cheese! Garnish with a bit of oregano. Perfect!! Up there with Di Fara's in Cary, NC/Brooklyn, NY. read more

Every time we order from Randy's, we always end up getting the same thing - the Mango Habanero wings, Garlic Knots, Onion Rings and the Kickin' Hawaiian Pizza with pineapple, bacon, jalapeno and chicken. This usually gets us through several yummy, indulgent meals. The latest time, we decided to get half Kickin' Hawaiian and half Margarita. Such a good combo of sweet, salty, and refreshing. I also love the sweet kick of the mango habanero sauce on the wings. I'm excited to try some of their other sauces as well in the future! read more

(We are only in Durham on the weekends and usually get pizza hut, but they are going downhill lately, so we shopped around for a new cost-effective pizza joint) We ordered two calzones, 6 garlic knots, and 6 mozzarella sticks, with marinara and ranch. The calzones were the best I've had, the dough was perfectly cooked, cheese was melted and tasted fresh, the pepperoni (we got substituted instead of ham) tasted like deli meat not just bland greasy fast food pizza pepperoni. The garlic knots were fantastic they could've used a little more garlic. However, the bread was perfect it was fresh and perfectly dense dough, cooked all the way through but still soft. It's definitely a fresh breath of air from Pizza Huts frozen mess. The mozzarella sticks however I give a 4 out of 10, could be my fault though because we ordered takeout instead of eating in but we didn't like them, they were to tough and a wee bit salty. The prices are amazing for the amount of food and flavor!! Overall, I WILL be returning. We enjoyed it quite a bit!!! 8/10 read more

Love their slice of pizza with 1 topping (mushrooms for me), side salad, and soda deal! The slices are huge and yummy! It's always busy in here at lunch time, but the food comes out pretty fast. You order at the counter and they call your name for you to pick up the food. Parking can get a bit crazy in their lot since they share it with a bunch of other restaurants. read more

Ordered a pizza nd hot wings. The wings had no sauce at all. Plain bare wings and the place wasn't busy so I have no idea how they screwed that up. The pizza was ok, but not great. I think the dough was too think. Definitely not my favorite. I will look for a new place next time. read more

Pizza was large and better than most, but not much more than an average NY-style pizza!!

First time trying, ordered LG pizza, pick up dough tough, extremely cold for the distance from here to there, lacking on the proper amount of ingredients, would barely be enough for a small pie much less a large, cheeseless, taste worst than frozen but just as dry. Will not return. Thank you no.... read more

My nephew put me onto this place and I am happy he did. You can buy the pizza here by the slice or buy a pie. They also offer other food items besides pizza but I come only for the pizza! I ordered the baked ziti, garlic knots and a small garden salad. What I received was a small caesar salad and boiled noodles with pizza sauce and cheese on the noodles. I called back to let them know the salad was not what I ordered and was not happy about the so called baked ziti. The store manager stated that the ziti was in fact boiled noodles with pizza sauce and cheese on top of the noodles. The sauce wasn't even blended into the noodles. If I would have known that I wouldn't have ordered what they called baked ziti. The store manager said I could bring the order back and they would replace it. I explained that I wasn't able to bring the order back because I was at work. He said I could get a store credit because they weren't going to send the driver back. Since I paid a delivery fee of $4.30 and I was literally just five minutes away I figured they would replace it and stated I would not be ordering from them in the future because they were supposed to give me fries from a previous order and didn't. The store manager said "Have a nice day" and hung up on me. if I could give zero stars I would. read more

Haven't been to Randy's since before the Pandemic occured. After today's experience, I have no reason to return. I ordered a Stromboli at 12:15pm. Asked for an update on my order at 12:40pm and was assured it would be coming soon. Asked for another update at 12:50 and was informed that my order was given to another person and that I would be given a refund and 2 slices of pepperoni as compensation. Asked for an update at 1pm on the 2 comp'd pepperoni slice and was told they would be out soon (as they continued to server other customers pepperoni slices). Asked for another update at 1:05pm and was given 2 lukewarm slices. Love supporting local businesses, but not if the service is as atrocious as today. Will take my business elsewhere. read more
