The staff was super friendly and helpful with what donuts they recommend. They also picked the most fresh donuts for us which was such a treat! I'm from Texas and here on business and Randy's Donuts you make my top 10. Kids were here to visit me and geez never heard a complaint. 13 years old's can complain about a Micheline grade restaurant but no complaint with Randy's Donuts. The Pasadena location is nice but the donuts are dry and tasted like they were fried in old oil batch. We got the crondy and it was extremely sweet. Someone need to check the quality of the donuts. Randy's deserves their iconic LA status and the Pasadena location is a low stress gem for getting my fix. If you've never been to Randy's before, they have a ton of flavors to choose from. I've probably tried about 25% of the menu so far. All have been good but one often overlooked flavor stands out as perfect to me. The coconut raised. It's fluffy and sweet without being overly so. And the pure white coconut is very finely ground almost into a powder that makes the donut so pretty to look at. I highly recommend it. But honestly, you can't go wrong at Randy's. read more

I wanted to comment on my extremely professional experience here today at the store. First of all, they take social distancing seriously and only allow two parties in the store at a time and require a face mask to enter. Today, while I was in the store, two customers came in without face masks. They were very rude to the staff and refused to leave. The owner ended up coming out and calmly talking to the two customers to explain the mask requirement and told them to come back another time with masks. I really appreciated how professionally they handled the situation and how quickly they took care of it. I've been to a few places where people were let in without masks and nothing was done about it and I felt uncomfortable. Because of the professional staff, I will gladly come back here in the future. I have never been a huge fan of donuts but WOW RANDY'S DONUTS truly is EXCEPTIONAL AND EXQUISITE. Prior to trying these donuts, I thought that the only donuts I could enjoy were blueberry cake donuts but Randy's has proven me wrong with their raised donuts. The dough is so incredibly soft and smooth! My boyfriend and I got the cinnamon crumb cake donut, the glazed raised donut, the chocolate raised donut and the sugar raised donut. Incredibly, the cinnamon crumb was my least favorite (so unexpected because I always thought I preferred cake donuts over raised!). Needless to say, these 4 donuts didn't even last 24 hours in our household. I will definitely be going back to try new flavors (and treat myself to those amazing raised donuts!!) read more

Great variety! I had them three times in the span of two weeks. Some of their cake flavors were a bit dry for my roommate, but they do raised donuts to perfection! (If you don't eat them right away, I recommend storing in a ziplock bag because my mom had her blueberry one a couple days after and said it was still moist.) And their honey wheat was exceptional and turned out to be one of my favorites along with the classic chocolate raised and maple raised. Happy to see Randys opening in Pasadena. I came on their Grand Opening day and they were giving away glazed donuts for each customer. Came around late afternoon and the line while not too long moved fairly quickly. Social distancing is good for the narrow space. I entered through the back and exited the front. Both the cinnamon roll and raised glaze were good but didn't blow me away as anything special. It's a typical classic donut from a famous joint. The service was on point and efficient as well. With Five Guys burgers opening next door and an impressive following signals they will be very successful. Definitely check it out if you are in the area. read more

Today 12/23/2023 8:42am first time going to Randy's Pasadena on lake , I asked for mini bite size glaze and chocolate donuts, I said the girl that was serving you can mix both and she gave me mixed different kinds and when she brought it to the cashier I said I asked just glaze and chocolate, and in a mean and rude way she took the order to change and she said "be more specific next time" very very rude very unprofessional, and the cashier "Caleb R" when I asked her name he said "I don't know her name she's new" I was like how come you don't know your coworker name I wonder what he call her ..... I know, I live in Pasadena but never made my way to this location until last night. There is a large parking lot in the back as well as an entrance but you have to walk through a long hallway out the front door and get in a line. It was late so not too many in the line. There is a large "A" frame board that has pictures with names of all the donuts so you'll be ready to place your order when you go in. Didn't work. Once you go in and see the actual donuts, your mind goes into a sugar high and you can't think straight. I went with the standard glazed, then a glazed crondy (sp?), lemon old fashioned, and a maple glazed with cream. I ate the maple glazed when I got home and it definitely needed a glass of milk. It was on the sweet side but the cream/custard was very tasty. The lemon glaze was also sweet. All the donuts were great. I will say after you make a visit, you will definitely need to workout. Been meaning to try Randy's for awhile but never had the chance. When I saw them opening in my area I decided to give it a shot. Really nice texture and choices. Range for standard donuts for around $1 to premiums for $3. You get a couple dollars off if u get a dozen, and u can mix and match categories. The line was in the front when I arrived at 630am, but parking lot is in the back so a little awkward. Looks like there were pay machines for parking but this early It didn't matter. You can enter through the back but u have to walk past everyone to go in line outside the front door. Service was good and didn't have to wait, only a couple people in line. Recommend them, definitely a step up from a standard donut shop. Fresh and tasty. Looking forward to trying some other flavors. This was my first time coming here. I had heard that the line gets very long so the day before I placed an order for pick up at 7:30 AM. The order was super easy to pick up it was ready waiting for me just gave them my name and they gave me my order. We went a little overboard and ordered a couple of different fancy donuts along with some classic donuts. These were very delicious and fresh. They are a bit pricey because of the fancy donuts but definitely big enough to share or split and try a different couple with our family. I would definitely order online because it's so easy but they had so many fresh other donuts that I didn't even get to look at so I am definitely having to go back and try those also. The crondy and Apple fritter were so yummy those were my favorite. The Apple fritter what I liked about that was that it wasn't greasy sometimes when you order an apple fritter and you take a bite into it you get a mouth full of apple fritter with grease but with this one it was not super greasy. The kids of course liked the sprinkles and the M&Ms and Oreos never go wrong with those with kids. Check them out if you're in the area. read more

Not impressed by the donuts. The bear claw was super greasy and burnt tasting along the edges. These donuts are definitely over hyped and didn't deliver. The staff need a lesson in customer service. I had a 6 year old trying to choose a donut and the staff person asked about 6 times which donut he wanted. With so many choices it was a tough choice for him. There was only one couple behind us who seemed to be undecided also. The lackluster donuts and unfriendly service make it an easy pass. read more
