Met the Owner Jason over the Summer a while ago very friendy guy with a smile on his face. Always heard good things about his shop and wanted to give it a go. Decided to take our Porsche SUV in for an oil change. Please keep in mind that I am a new customer wanted to see how this business would treat me. From the beginning I was enormously impressed!!! Spoke with the Traci over the phone who is informative, highly knowledgeable, professional and, extremely courteous. Traci researched the year make and model of my Porsche by scanning my VIN into her computer system. Traci gave me two very reasonable quotes one if they supplied the oil and filter and one quote if I brought my own parts. Given an appointment time for the very next day. It was very hot outside and showed up for my appointment on time and, quickly made my way inside out of the heat. Upon entering the building I felt the instant relief of the cool air conditioning. This was very pleasant. I was greeted by Traci and Justin who welcomed me with prompt service and a smile. I feel they were glad to see me and informed the Auto tech I had arrived for my appointment. Our tech for the day Rick was on it! Rick requested my keys. Gladly handed over my keys because this man had a look of determination on his face and he just looked like he had worked on millions of cars before and knew exactly what he was doing. I knew I was in good hands. The waiting area gives you a at home feel like you are sitting in your living room or man cave. Very clean open area with regular chairs and I noticed car license plates hung on the wall, there were regular chairs and they have bar stool chairs with a counter where you could imagine you are sitting at a bar somewhere on the beach throwing back a couple of beers or sipping on a mimosa while enjoying a shrimp cocktail "Wait a minute" I thought this was The Speedway Club Restaurant at Charlotte Motor Speedway not Randy's Auto & Xhaust and now I know why they are called the Xperts!!! I had brought my lap top computer and a few documents from the office to work on during the oil change. Do you know no sooner than I got settled Justin in the office said, "Mr. Hill you're ready to go sir!" "Rick has completed your oil change sir, I have your car out front waiting with the air conditioner on" What the what!!! aha I was ready to go and, I did not even get settled in yet. I had literally just begun to sign in onto my laptop when my name was called. The kicker to all this is I only spent around $26 for a fully synthetic oil change by supplying my own parts. The Porsche Dealership wanted a whopping $450 dollars plus tax for the same exact service! On top of that Justin was able to use an instrument in their shop to reset all my codes for the oil change now light that kept coming on. I'm telling you know Randy's Auto & Xhaust Xperts Randy's Auto Care is the one stop service shop for all your automobile needs and they have the skill set to work on any type of automobiles foreign or domestic. I am really impressed with Randy's Auto Care. My boyfriend needed both cats done on his 2013 Infiniti and Meineke wanted to overcharge me even after we ordered the parts ourselves. We were so lost on what to do so he went online and found Randy's. First, we walked in and the lady at the desk was exceptional, friendly, and her customer service was awesome which I loved because I deal with people at both of my jobs, and I give the same energy that she gave us. Second, the mechanic who worked on his vehicle was done in the time frame that was given to us and even was concerned about putting the O2 sensors on his vehicle. Lastly, the convenient payment option is a plus. Did I mention I am in love with this place. I need work done on my 2020 Jeep Cherokee and he has more things that need to be done on his vehicle, so it is safe to say we will be returning customers. they refused to acacknowledge that my wheel bearings were going bad when it was under warranty. I brought my truck there multiple times they had it for days and continue to tell me that there's nothing wrong with them when there was a terrible noise coming from the front end, they told me that it was my ball joints and not the wheel bearings brought my truck to multiple other locations who, in fact, told me it was my wheel bearings going bad brought my truck back to Randy's they promised 100%. It's not the wheel bearings and the truck is safe to drive paid another company to install new wheel bearings and all the problems are fixed. I told them another company used a mechanic stethoscope and could hear the wheel bearings going bad. The guy at the front said he's never heard of such a thing . that place it's a complete joke read more

Terrible. Took my car here to be inspected. They proceeded to tell me I needed this that and the other fixed before my car would pass inspection. My car is brand new!!!!! It has 2500k miles! These guys were just trying to rip me off! It's ok though, I recorded everything and I have contacted the NC Attorney General's office to file a complaint. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING! read more

I went here last week to get my car fixed and honestly they now have a forever customer. They were amazing people and they are affordable and try to work with you. I had a lot wrong with my car and they really worked with me and even recommended me to an affordable place to get my tire replaced. I will be coming back 100%, they work efficiently and also they took me back to my car and showed me what was wrong with and gave me advice on what to do with my car next. I think people are often scared to go to mechanics because they might be scammed but I can promise you that won't happen here. They are honest and as adorable as you can be for car work. Was a customer for years. They accept NO liability if jobs not done right. Couldn't get the U-joint snap rings to my rear drive shaft to seat. Took it to Randys for repair. Needless to say it left me stranded 2 hours from home. Got it to a repair shop and the tech brings me in and shows me where the U-joint snap ring(s) and a cap came out and also messed up my driveshaft. Called Randys to let them know what happened and Im broke down 2 hours away! Randys Service Manager starts getting loud. Says it was something I did. Nothing they could do. After arguing a few min he tells me he needs to speak to his boss to see if there's anything they could do. Asked if he would like to speak with the shop or mechanic where I'm broke down. He wanted no part of it. Never mentioned needing the old parts and was the last thing on my mind at the time. Randys service mgr. just didnt want to deal with the problem, wanted off the phone asap. So I took a bunch of pictures and had the shop document everything. Got a plan together where I was broke down and was able to patch it well enough to get me back home. Get back in town and go see Alex. Seemed like they were going to make it right. Four days later and no return phone call. I call again. Now the lady is telling me I need the old parts, then maybe they can see if anything can be done. Parts weren't the problem. Clearly the snap rings weren't seated correctly and the U-joint cap came out. They want no part of the pictures or documentation I have from the shop that worked on it. Now I'm stuck paying for a new drive shaft AND having the job done 3 times now. Just letting the people I don't know aware of my experience at Randys. please be aware of this shop. The front desk lady will talk so well about fixing your car. sent my car here 3 times for the same issue and it's still not fixed. They have no receipts of my parts so I really don't know if they just put the old part back on or not. They take no responsibility if you're car is not fixed, my car was actually worse off this time. They told me I have a bad engine which if they felt that way they should have stated that before fixing on my car for the 3rd time. Dont waste your time or money if you need major work done. They will say the mechanics are busy and can't talk so they won't have to explain anything. read more

Seem to not have it together professionally. Installed parts wrong and continually gave the run around on getting them fixed. Was told a day and time to return to have it fixed and did so, only to wait for hours with no one caring what we were there for and then "forgetting" talking to us at all on the phone. That's unprofessional. If a customer calls with an issue and you ask them to come in on a certain day and time to have it fixed, it's probably a good idea to write that down along with any important details like names, type of car, issue, etc. Being professional and giving good customer service isn't hard and with us, this business failed at both. read more

Brought my vehicle here for new calipers about 8 months ago. They've overtightned everything from  lugs on my tires (had to bring it back after Goodyear couldn't get one of the lugs off and this placed charged me $25 for something they screwed up.) I thought that was all until recently I'm trying to take off one of my calipers that's I've taken off at least 6 other times with ease so I could repair my CV axle. Only to find that both 18mm bolts that use to be so easy to take off are literally stripped and over torqued to the point that I'm going to have to drill them out. Do yourself a favor and saving a few curse words and do the job yourself, because if you bring your vehicle here the idiots will break your stuff and keep strutting. read more

This is not the place for repairs. I know that this place have done something to my car to make me go back to them for repairs. I took my car in for an emission and oil change and brake check, and 2 days later my car had the shakes so bad and engine light came on, I founded out that my # 2 and 7 wasn't firing right, I know that this wasn't a problem 2 days ago. This isn't the only time, I took my car in last year cause it keep shutting off and I was told it could be a number of things and this was after it came off the code machine sign #1, I was charged over $350.00 for a fuel line that I didn't need. Then one day I drove my car into the shop and all of a sudden my car wouldn't start unless I paid this amount for this. I was a fool to allow them to take advantage of me. WARNING!!!! If I could leave a negative star I would. Where do I even start? Ok... So when I went to Randy's initially, I needed my engine tuned up and I needed a rear quarter panel shaved so the back tire wouldn't rub. I was quoted approx $200 with parts and labor. I was ok with that, so I decided to drop my 1967 Chevy Impala off to get the repairs fixed. I've been in retail management for over 10 years and I know how to treat my customers. Initially they was somewhat nice to me. But while standing in their office there were several others in there complaining about issues that they have caused. My biggest mistakes was that I didn't read any reviews, I just went by the 4.0 that they had at the time. Later I found out that the 4.0 was from years ago and within the past year they had nothing but 1 stars. They kept my car for over 3 days and in between those days Chad (the mechanic) kept calling me telling me that the cost would go up. It went from $200, to $450, to $1200. That was when I told him to stop all work. He got mad at me and put me on the phone with the receptionist who got an attitude with me. I asked to speak to the owner and she told me she was one of the owners. (I found out later this was not true at all) I went up there with my mom to pick up my car. They charged me over $200 and hadn't fixed anything. The car ran worse than before and the tires still scrub. I went back to talk to them about it, and to ask for my money back. I didn't feel like the car would make it home if I drove it. I ended up having to have the car towed home. I felt cheated because nothing had been fixed. As soon as I went back in I was instantly greeted with disrespect and attitude. I asked to speak to the owner and tried to explain how I felt about everything. I was told that the owner had already went home. (Little did I know he was sitting in his office watching everything unfold on camera) I asked for my money back and was instantly denied. The attitudes kept flying. I asked for someone to call the owner and again met with resistance. Another mechanic (Jeremy i believe) that I had never met told me to leave. He said he had the authority to make the decisions. My mom asked him to make things right, and he got an attitude with my mom. I told him not to talk to my mom that way and he got up in my face and told me he was going to remove me from the property. Someone said to call the police and both my mom and I agreed. We said please call the police. This is when things got really ugly. Chad, and Jeremy both got up in my face and threatened to "beat me up". I said please do, and I promise you I will own this place. This is when Jason (the actual owner) showed up and decided to talk to me. My mom, Jason and I went outside to look at my concerns. My hood had been scratched from where someone leaned over the fender with a belt buckle. I know they did it because they called me about it. The fender well was shaved but not smooth, and Chad had removed my brand new plugs that I bought prior to taking the car into the shop and installed god knows what. There were other issues as well, but Jason seemed generally concerned. He told me he was going to give me my money back, and even offered to buy my mom dinner. I asked him about the receptionist being part own and he replied that she wished. He told me that, that was his sister and that it was time to make a change and that he was going to let her go. I doubt he did, but he does need to evaluate his business. The biggest concern is that it should have never gotten to that point. Things should have been professionally, and as a consumer I should have been taken care of appropriately. I was jerked around and on the verge of being assaulted. I will NEVER recommend Randy's to anyone, and since then I have heard other horror stories of this place. I did a little research and found out that their business license has expired and hasn't been renewed. In my option they shouldn't renew it and just close up shop. Please avoid this place!! read more
