They were accommodating so it wasn't ass big od deal( leased so the finacial burden wasn't a issue) Now my 2y/o car is turning off while driving it. I had my car repaired at Randy Wise Mercedes just over 30 days a go. Within 30 days the exact same problem reoccured. I called the dealership and that stated it WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM. My car is out of warranty. I had to pay the several thousands to fix the car, and now, it doesn't run again, but, it's NOT THEIR PROBLEM? I do feel that they should feel responsible for my situation! At the least they should be motivated to pick up my car (I live 1 1/2 hrs away and have had to spend several hundreds in tow fees,at least 6 times since January), and repair the vehicle at no cost to me. They changed a control arm and gave it back with more noises than it was in for; after 2 more visits their explanation was brake pads and rotors. Funny the noise is not just when it's braking. Rant: bought a used car from Randy Wise 4 mos ago. It was making a thumping noise underneath when we got in it for a test drive. Didn't take it off the lot. Asked them to identify & fix the problem & we'd come back later to take it out. Apparently they tightened up whatever the problem was, told us a heat shield. Bought an extended warranty for tires, windshield, etc. $49 mo. purchased as is, no warranty. Found out not heat shield, but wheel bearing & cv shafts. Did repairs. Took in this past Mon for tire repair/replace-not covered, tread too worn. Offered to sell us 4 new tires ranging from $700 to $1100. Moral of the story: Don't purchase an extended warranty. But more importantly-DON'T BUY FROM RANDY WISE AUTO MALL!!!!!! read more

This is my second car I bought from Randy Wise. My salesman Bryce Eckman did a great job getting me set up with a CPO Sonata. I was in a big hurry to buy as my other car died and after a week of looking elsewhere, Bryce hooked me up with a few options and I ended up with a great vehicle. My only regret is that I didn't start my search there to begin with, I could have saved myself a lot of time! I have no issues and would absolutely buy again when the need arises. read more

Bought an used car from this dealership with the promise that some minor damage would be taken care of. Waited 3 weeks for a service appointment and took my car in over 2 weeks ago assuming everything would be fixed. After numerous phone calls, I was finally contacted today and told they would not cover the repairs, and I would be on my own. After telling them that was unacceptable, I am still waiting on a call back from management. In the meantime I've gone over 2 weeks without a car I haven't even made the first payment on. I recommend avoiding Randy Wise and their many dealership locations. And I made a Yelp account just to tell you that. I purchased a car from them last month. At first, they seemed very helpful and friendly. However, days after purchasing the car, I got a flat tire. I found this to be unacceptable after such little time owning the car. When I called and spoke with Don, the finance manager who actually sold me the car, he offered no help nor an apology. Once they have your money, they're done providing any customer service, it seems. To make matters worse, not even three weeks after owning the car, the engine light came on and the car went into "limp mode." After finally managing an insincere-sounding "sorry," Don directed me to their service center, where I would have received free service anyway. It took the service center over two weeks to finish my car. I called them after waiting six days and they hadn't even diagnosed the issue yet. I had to call them for the update. Don did not check in during or after service to make sure I was satisfied with the maintenance. Unless you anticipate your used car being perfect (and I did, because mine only had 15,000 miles on it), I recommend avoiding purchasing from Randy Wise for lack of service as soon as you hand the check over. read more

My wife dropped off her car for a follow up on an oil leak visit. This time the service people told her it was going to cost in excess of $1300 to repair. I followed up with a call to remind them that the vehicle had a 10yr/100,000 drivetrain warranty. Under this warranty things like item related to the oil leak were covered. After being told it was not covered, and another 30 minutes on the phone, we settled on full coverage and no cost. Training and being aware of your product starts with the Dealership. The management at this dealership should be the ones training their staff and not the customers. I will never purchase another car from this dealership. We like our Hyundai just not the treatment from this dealership. read more

I had my 2018 Tuscon serviced on May 13th. Without my knowledge, they appraised my vehicle for $18,000. They even printed a check. I returned to purchase a new car on June 2nd and was told that things had changed, and the best they could offer was $15,500. I had not considered a new car purchase until they made the 1st offer. So 3 weeks is a $2500 difference? Total bait and switch scam. False offer presented just to draw us in. If they are that dishonest up front, why would anyone in their right mind buy from them? Randy Wise Service Dept. is the worst. I called about a car engine light that has been on, a rattle and an issue with the car randomly not starting and they told me it would be a month before their next appt. opening. I dropped the car off the night prior to my appt. which was a week ago, expecting someone to call and let me know what they found. not only did I not get a call but when I did get ahold of them they couldn't tell me if anyone was looking at it and said they call back to let me know. for three days the same thing I would call and they couldn't tell me anything just said they'd call back and never did. finally on Friday the service manager calls with an estimate of 1,300, mind you I'm expecting it to be covered since it's under warranty plus I bought the extended warranty. They told me I needed new front brakes $600, a new battery $258 even though the battery tested fine (they couldn't find the starting issue so they blamed it on the battery swing because it was 4yrs old, and a new front stabilizer link $386.12. when I told him I just replaced the front brakes last year he just said whoops I meant the rear brakes. when I asked why the stabilizer wasn't covered since I had the extended warrant instead of looking it up he rudely asked what the warranty was called and where I purchased it. I told him from his dealership and he quips back that he'd look it up. I called him twice Monday to see what was going on with my car and he never called back. Not at all what I was expecting from a manager to say the least. extremely irritated and disappointed in their lack of service. read more

I will give this two stars because the finance manager did a lot of work however he disappeared so I chose another offer. The original sales person I had was unprofessional. He texted me at 1240 am in the morning the day before I was supposed to sign for my car to say he had a family emergency and couldn't make it in. Mind you I had already switched the insurance. He said no one else could help me so I would have to wait for him to reschedule. Turns out it was his bday and he was at a basketball game. He played dumb the next day but I never responded. I just told him I would not be purchasing a car from him. I ended up working with the finance manager instead. I normally do not post reviews but the sales person, Tae was so unprofessional by texting me and lying I feel people should know who they are working with. He was even told he couldn't bring me in because the deal wasn't final but instead just bailed the next day so he didn't have to deal with it. He didn't count on me calling the manager. I'm assuming he would have came in the next day and when he found out the terms changed he would have said he knew nothing about it. He just wanted the sale. I purchased my car from Randy Wise Hyundai almost 3 years ago now. The process of purchasing the car was seamless. We had done a lot of the grunt work prior to even arriving because we lived an hour away, so when we finally came in, all we needed to do was fill out some paperwork and the car was ready to go. No problems. I maintained my services and oil changes at a Hyundai dealer closer to me so I didn't have to drive over an hour every time to bring it back to Randy Wise. That dealer was amazing, however, they recently closed. When I purchased the car, I took out the extended tire warranty option and I'm SO glad that I did because the roads in Michigan are WONDERFUL. Sure enough, I finally had some tire damage from the potholes (I'm actually surprised it took as long as it did) and called Randy Wise Hyundai to explain the situation and scheduled to bring my car in to have the tires looked at. Our 1st appointment was at 10am to which we were greeted by a SUPER friendly service staff member (she wasn't friendly at all; cue sarcasm). When all was said and done with that appointment, we ended up waiting almost 3 hours for them to simply look at the tires and take photos for the warranty claim. Side note but funny enough that same day, there was a lady waiting for an oil change for over 2 hours. AN OIL CHANGE. TWO. HOURS???? Anyways, the two damaged tires were covered under the warranty and we wanted to order 2 more additional tires to purchase out of pocket since my car was at the time where I needed all new tires anyways. We scheduled another appointment roughly a week later for the following week to ensure they'd have PLENTY of time to order the tires. Something in us told us to call to make sure the tires were ordered. We called 4 days prior to the appointment and they hadn't even ordered the tires yet. They had roughly a week and a half since the last appointment to do so. So they said they would order them and I asked if someone would call me the morning of my appointment to confirm that the tires came in. No one called (which mind you, this was a REOCCURRING issue throughout this whole process). We tried to call and speak to the service manager several times to which we were told we would be called back. No calls back. So I called and asked if the tires arrived. The person I spoke to didn't know and stated they would call back to let me know. And guess what?! No call back. SHOCKING! So that was the last straw for us. I didn't even go to my scheduled appointment and I also found it interesting that no one even called to tell me I missed my appointment or to even check in. We ended up going to a tire place and fortunately the warranty faxed over cc info to pay for the covered damage and we purchased the additional tires there. That whole process took a matter of 2 days. TWO DAYS vs roughly a 3 week process with Randy Wise. I'm not one to really leave "bad" reviews because I get that sometimes sh*t happens, sometimes it's just a bad day, whatever the case may be. However after going on Yelp and reading other reviews regarding their service department, I felt like my honest review was justified. And even just simply thinking back to that poor lady who had to wait over 2 hours for an oil change. I will never go back to the Randy Wise service department and will opt for finding another dealer closer to me. Schedule a service there at your own risk (because it will be a guaranteed headache). The ONLY reason it wasn't a 1 star was because of the headache free initial sale process of purchasing the vehicle. read more

I bought my car at this dealership, but since the warranty expired, I have tried to avoid their service department whenever possible. My car has been stalling, so I finally broke down and took it In for service. They charged me $110 just to look at my car, which the service writer said should have been $220 since I reported two symptoms (caused by the same faulty part, by the way). The verbal estimate for fixing the problem was $650. The service writer refused to give me an itemized estimate or the part numbers, just a one-liner diagnosis for my $110. I could have gotten that for free from Autozone. I googled the parts prices, and it came to roughly $170...leaving $480 in labor to remove two bolts, a wire, and a hose! To make matters worse, it took this dealer all day to give me their diagnosis and estimate, then tell me they didn't have the parts to repair my car. I was the first car in the garage this morning...who knows what they did all day. Randy Wise is a rip off, pure and simple. I'm taking my car to a local garage where the repairs cost half as much, take half as long to complete, and actually fix the problem. I'll buy my next car in a month or so, and it won't be here- I don't do business with a dealer that you can't trust. read more

Not impressed at all. I noticed how I would take my car there to be serviced for an oil change and lube and that nothing was greased nor was my air filter checked. I felt quite ripped off, since I've always figured that a dealership would do a higher quality job than your standard 10-minute oil change place. Looked at a used car online. "Salesgirl" said she would meet us at the dealership and that since it was a Saturday they would be "ready to negotiate". Drove over 50 miles one way to see the car. Got there and the "salesgirl" wasn't there. Turns out she doesn't actually sell the cars. She just does the internet hooking and then turns you over to a salesman. Ended up with Bob who promptly told us that the car wasn't even there! It was at the transmission shop getting a new tranny because "that's a common problem with Taurus's". He said they would bring it back to us at our home and let us drive it when it was repaired then we could sign the paperwork. Sounded ok but I was still upset that we had made the trip for nothing. He said we could do a refundable deposit to hold it. Now, I had told him my price range at least 3 or 4 times so when he wrote it up and quoted me a price substantially higher, I waited for him to say " but here's what we can do". Nope. That's the price, take it or leave it. Tried to sell me a much older car, not a Taurus. read more

I bought a 2011 Infiniti QX56 with 88k miles. Mid deal my salesperson named "Chelsea" stopped replying then I was informed that she was no longer working there and that a new salesperson "Joe Cassels" would be my new salesperson. So I made the deal over the phone because I'm from Chicago and this dealer was 4 hours away. When I seen the truck in person I was surprised by all the damages on it and was avoided in the posted pictures so I changed my mind. Then the manager named Chad came and offered to go outside and have a cigarette with him and offered to replace the front windshield "which was cracked and not mentioned or shown in the pictures" and the air ride pump "also wasn't shown or mentioned" and told me his mechanic will inspect the vehicle for me free of charge and talked me into it. He gave me $900 off the truck for the windshield and air pump. After the deal Chad gives me his business card and told me he gave me the one with his cell phone number on it "good sales pitch" and I left right before closing time. I drove the truck straight to the mechanic shop they changed the window, pump, brakes, spark plugs, battery, oil change, pulleys, control arm and a bunch of other stuff totaling near $6000. When I went to pick it up the mechanic took pictures of the oil and told me out of his 30 years + experience that the oil hasn't been changed in over 2 years and was muddy. Also the spark plugs were glued on. Now I feel like that is my fault for trusting a dealer that shouldn't be trusted. But about 90 miles after I drove off the check engine light turned on so the mechanic told me it was the catalytic converter and that the code had been deleted that's why it appeared after I drove off from the dealer and that the repair would cost about $3000. That's when I call my salesman back "Joe Cassels" to be informed that he also was no longer working there. So I call the manager chad 5 times "I had his special card with his cell phone number on it" but he never called back and his voicemail is full. So I called the dealer and told the person my situation and told him I'm willing to take the loss on everything except the converters and he told me that he will call chad and call me back. When he called me back I was given two options Option 1: they pay me $500 Option 2 I give them the truck back and loose the $6000+ I paid in repairs prior to knowing that they deleted the code for the converters and needed an additional $3000k+ in repairs So I am taking my case to court. I have all the receipts and documents to prove everything I'm saying is true also Tampering with the emissions control systems on a vehicle creates more air pollution and It's also illegal read more

I really don't think words can describe the experience that I had at Randy Wise in Flint. The salesman, who I will politely keep nameless, was great at the start. I told him exactly what I was looking for specifically and was pretty picky. He pulled up a car that was located at the Fenton location. He said they could bring it to me, or even drive me down there, how nice of them when they want to make a sale. I expressed repeatedly that I didn't want to waste their time if I could instantly look at it and rule it out. (have some previous background and many collision and body shop friends). He insisted that its not a problem and he drove me down to see it, approx. 20 minutes or so. Chatted and small talk most of the way down. I noticed two clumps of paint on the hood that stood out to possibly be non factory, not a big deal to me. I asked just to see if I was right but apparently I was wrong, ok no biggie. Took the car for a drive and before I got out of the lot notice the ridiculously crazy steering. Got on the road and it was worse, the slightest movement made the car overreact badly, if I were on snow or ice don't think it would have been very fun. I proceeded around the block and back. I got out told him that something was wrong with the steering and instantly was answered with something to the tone of, there isn't, the car is only a couple of years old. This set the mood right there, we got back into the car to head back to Flint. He did not say a word the whole way back, messed with his phone a bit but not sure what he was doing. I tried lightning the mood by just say things about businesses we passed and things of the sort, but no reply. When we got back, we got out of the car and I said I was sorry to take up his time. In a, how should we put it, "VERY MAD" tone replied, that car is only 2 years old and there is nothing wrong with it, you need to look at new cars, as he was walking back into the door to the dealership. Now keep in mind this car was only 2 years old, it should or could be basically new. So I said, there is something wrong with it and those carfaxes are a bunch of crud. Consumers think there is piece of mind, but in reality it works for the dealer much more than the consumer. I actually didn't get all that out cause he was already in the door pouting before I could finish. I cannot believe a supposed professional grown man could act like this.
