These guys are professionals just over the weekend 8 guys showed up and tore down 18 Cypress trees around the house in a heart beat. I had few companies showed up at my house either they charge you more or just saying too much work. Well, Junior gave us options and said they can do it! Junior and his team were a lovely bright spot in what was a crazy weekend with last week's storms. On Friday night the wind and waterlogged ground took out my 40ft eucalyptus tree. It fell across the dead end alley behind my house, blocking in about 15 households. Rancho Tree Care arrived within an hour of being called, despite his phone blowing up with more calls. He quickly made the alley passable and headed to the next emergency. His team came back the next day to haul away everything except the stump, then returned the day after that to grind out the stump. Though there were fallen trees littered throughout the city, my entire tree was gone in less than three days. They did not show up on the day that we agreed upon. And they did not call me to notify me. I texted and asked where they were but he said he will get another crew since the other crew didn't show up. I slept and woke up at 1:30 but no crew came. So I texted again but he said he had an emergency. I get it. We all have emergencies but be professional and notify the other person. We have plans too. Mind you, I work night shift and I had them scheduled that day because the constructions of our fence will start soon. Thank God another company agreed to come the next day and do the job. So I had a bad experience with this company. I don't personally recommend them but to tell you honestly they gave the lowest price. So if you don't mind delays but with good price, go with them. What happened to me might not happen to you. Reply to Junior: Had you called first and did not wait for me to message you, I wouldn't put this review. It's called courtesy. I can post here the time I texted you and the time you called me. This only show how you are trying to save your self instead of apologizing. When I receive exceptional service and quality of work, I cannot help but share my enthusiasm with others. This is the case with Ranchos Tree Care. I have an old maple tree in my front yard that was very much overgrown and needed to be trimmed back. It has been in my family for 60+ years and was planted by my grandmother. Felix and his crew did an amazing job trimming the tree back of all the dead branches while being careful not to damage my house or picket fence. They made old tree beautiful and stately again. I am writing this review BEFORE Rancho Landscape even does the work. Last week I contacted three tree trimming companies via Yelp and Jr from Rancho Landscape and Tree Care contacted me within 30 minutes of my estimate request. I was available so I agreed to have Jr come by the same day (within 1 hour) to give us an estimate. We have owned our home for 25+ years but have never had our trees (numerous) pruned. Jr quickly identified that five trees were dead and needed to be removed, he gave suggestion on how to handle the other trees and the roots that were destroying our patio. Jr. was genuine, kind, professional and absolutely knows what he is doing. My husband was concerned about Jr's team knowing exactly what needed to be done but he assured us that he would be here first thing in the morning to go over the scope of work with his crew which gave my husband comfort. This company is responsive, professional and reasonably priced. I will update my review after he completes our almost $3,000 job tomorrow. That may sound like a lot of money but you have no idea how much work needs to be done on our property. Update: The job was completed today and they deserve a 10 Star Rating. The crew arrived on time, Junior showed the crew everything that needed to be done and he even cut down down a difficult tree that was propped up against a retaining wall. The team of 5 worked 6 hour which is 30 man hours of work to get our job done. We had 5 dead trees, a ficus tree that was ruining the foundation, numerous tall palm trees and a lot of it was located on a hill or near a fence or wall. They had all of the right equipment, they didn't damage anything and even did a couple of things that weren't originally in the scope of work. Wow my trees look great. We had never had our trees trimmed since purchasing our home. We had 2 fruit trees and 5 other trees trimmed, as well as, 2 trees and a stump removed. The work was done in about half a day. They showed up on time and left the area nice and clean. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work. We had three trees trimmed in the fall. The work was done while I was at work. I came home to find damage to the fence and a rose bush completely destroyed. Obviously a branch fell. I understand accidents happen but not a word was left with my husband nor a note telling me it even happened. That was a disappointment. So happy with this company! I had a huge project and I mean (HUGE)! I had a palm tree that was about 70' in my back yard and these guys brought a team of 10 men, and TOOK CARE OF BUSINESS! Not only did they handle my palm tree but they handled my other 12 trees too! All for an awesome price! They Match prices of most companies in the area but when getting a huge project done like this you need insurance and these guys are insured safe and reliable. NEVER AGAIN!! Incredibly poor customer service. I booked a date for some trimming, and 3 days before the job they cancelled my appointment. I wish that was the worst of it. First, I requested a quote for the job. They never sent it. After pushing a bit, they sent me a text (not email) to some google site which contained a document. Once I opened it, I called them and confirmed the job. They said, "you didn't sign the proposal, so we cancelled the job." They never asked me to sign the proposal. Plus, I was the only one asking for it! Btw, it was really hard to sign their proposal via their text messaging system. I had to forward the link to my email and sign. I'm pretty tech savvy, too. So, I rebooked for the following week. They communicated so poorly throughout the entire process, when they finally showed up for the job, they didn't complete it as we discussed over the phone. I kindly asked them to go back at their convenience. No response. Finally, I received this, and I quote: "Where can we collect payment today?? I can send my guys again but I need to get payment today." I replied, "I can pay you in a few hours when I get home, thank you." (I was driving at the time but wanted to reply immediately.) Next thing I know, his crew showed up, unannounced, and waltzed right into the backyard, scaring the family. I asked what is going on, and he replied (via text) " I HAD TOLD YOU WE WERE GOING BACK EARLY THIS MORNING!" Uh, no you didn't. You said you could go back, no indication of time and day...and you certainly didn't tell me you would just walk into the backyard without knocking. There is so much more to this story, but I'm not going to bother...just trying to save other people the headache of dealing with these people. I'm a longtime LA resident, and have never dealt with anything like this. read more

I called Rancho Landscape after reading the reviews on Yelp. Gabby was friendly and professional she immediately put me in touch with Jr. Who came the same day to our home to give us a quote. I reached out to Jr. The following morning and that same day he had his crew come to our house. Everything about this process was so smooth and professional. Lalo and his crew arrived all very very respectful wearing masks and social distancing. They moved any plants that were in the way and immediately began to work. With in 2hrs the work was complete and my yard was immaculate. Lalo made sure we were happyall of the plants were moved back to their spot. When I say my yard was left spotless I mean spotless. I've used this company on 2 properties and they are always; On time Fair priced Efficient Friendly 1st job; They cut down a really strong healthy 10-12 story tall eucalyptus tree to the stump. Job was done within a few hours and they left no mess. 2nd job; They removed a pine tree that had fell due to some heavy winds. The tree fell into a pool and was partly submerged underwater about 12 feet. They strapped up and got all the limbs and branches. Junior, the owner of the company, spent a great deal of time talking us through our many options, discussed the health of the trees, and offered experienced advice as to how best approach the job. Rancho Landscape & Tree Service did such a good job I felt compelled to post. My yard had never had a major professional tree service in 12 years, just minor pruning, and it sure needed one! I took a chance and called Rancho Landscape & Tree Care based on a door card they left, which I almost never do, but I looked them up on Yelp and found they were a local family business with all five-star reviews, which sounded like just the type of company I like to work with. Felix, the owner, arrived promptly after I called and gave me a fair and believable estimate (not so low as to suggest inexperience, not outrageous) and assessed the work needed more thoroughly than any other gardener or tree trimmer I'd spoken to. The bid is for check/cash, there's a fee for credit cards. He called ahead to firm up the price and job. Felix's daughter and son-in-law also worked with me and were good ambassadors for the family business. Felix and his large crew arrived with a huge chipper and did my job in only six hours! They had to go onto the neighbors' properties on all sides (I had secured permission) and there were no issues. The results were excellent. I am a producer and visual artist with a good eye for detail - albeit, not a tree expert -- and a demanding customer. Felix made solid suggestions, was very responsive to my requests to trim more and neaten up details, and let me know when there was a better way. The quality of the job was superb. I gave Felix a 12 feet pole as a mark and he got the ficus height perfectly even all the way around, which no other crew has ever done. I have a very difficult back row of trees behind the pool with no room to place a ladder nearby. Felix' crew was ingenious and put a giant ladder directly in the pool to reach the trees! He removed a neighbor's fig tree branches hanging over our property and cable lines that had been annoying us for years, dropping gooey fig pods on our pool deck that were very hard to clean up. I paid a bit extra to fully trim a neighbor's palm tree that had been dropping seeds and fronds on us and was tangled in the power lines, and it was money well spent. Plus, I was happy to help our neighbor at this time of national crisis. Felix trimmed my trees more professionally and more neatly that I have ever had done.
