We use Reyes Tree Service to cut all of the trees and hedges at our house. They have now come out 4 times. The whole team is courteous and they do an incredible job! We have an alley behind our house and they go on that side of the wall to ensure that our large hedge is trimmed on all sides. We've had other companies come out who have not done that. Honestly, they're also just really nice people who we enjoy working with. The cost is always fair too. We've had other companies come out to quote us and Reyes is always been the most affordable. the Reyes Tree company removed a large cedar tree and trimmed 2 other trees, one large and one small. Removing the stump of the cedar required (probably) hours of intense labor. They then planted 4 small trees in its place. The shaping of the 2 other trees was very important to us. They were beautifully shaped -I would even say "artistically". Communication with the owner was excellent at all times and each of the workers were a pleasure to meet. The cleanup was perfect and even down to a small detail that we didn't spot until the last minute, after the last 2 men had gotten in their trucks. They were very helpful and have a great attitude. This company puts out their marketing cards in our street often. I've seen my neighbors use them to trim trees. My next door neighbor recently hired them to cut and trim several trees on her property. A few of them bordered our property line. I gave them access to our side yard the first day. The second day, they helped themselves to our backyard without permission. My neighbor texted me to ask but saw it after they were already inside. They did not tell us that they would be throwing cut branches on our side of the property. Not only that, they failed to cover and protect our plants. Two of which were 4-year old dwarf lemon and lime trees that just started bearing fruits this year. They also knocked out two of our lampposts. We asked them to stop and protect our plants when we saw them throwing things on our side but it was too late at that point. They did not acknowledge responsibility. Just left without saying anything. Discovered the other damages after they were already gone. I called their office and reported the issue. The owner came by. He was friendly, said he'll pay for the damage lampposts and replace one of the fruit trees but never did. read more

I have a bunch of trees. I had an arborist come out and discuss trimming of our protected oaks and how Important having a professional crew is for the well being of our trees. Such as how you can spread disease to another tree if you don't properly sterilize your equipment . Also how if you don't cut a branch in the proper area the tree can become over grown too fast etc. I had noticed Juan's professional crew with wood chipper a few times on various neighbor's properties. I finally stopped and spoke to Juan asking questions about oak trimming. He is very knowledgeable in regards to all the things I had researched . Sterilizing equipment when is the best time to trim California oaks. Fire code compliance. Protections on what we are allowed to trim. Watching out for birds nests etc. Since he knew the answers to all that I asked we hired him to trim several of the trees closest to structures on the property. The crew did an excellent Job. I am very happy with the price and the work. I will definitely recommend Juan's crew. Also I will be hiring them regularly as we have so many more trees. Called Juan for an estimate to take down a tree, a couple days later he called me to tell me he will come next day at five PM (late) he called me at 5.40 it was dark (night). he came next day unannounced, gave me an estimate the price was good but he didn't make a commitment to come and do the job. Juan did my neighbor's yard. I was so impressed on how diligent and hard they worked even in 90+ degree weather. So, I asked him for an estimate to do my side yard. The dimensions to my sloped side yard are 13'x90'. I had 30+ years of growth of trees, bushes and plants. Big fat embedded roots all throughout the side yard. Due to the LA County drought restrictions, we wanted to replace all the existing plants with drought tolerant plants. We met Juan at a local nursery, so he could recommend and inform of various plants. Once we picked the type of plants, he scheduled the job. Day 1, Juan's people removed all the existing plants, roots and concrete border. Day 2, they planted all the drought tolerant plants. Day 3, they installed the drip system and mulch. I had been looking around for tree removal services for a 30 foot ash tree. I had a few different services come out and quote out the job. Reyes' quote and experience was by far the best and they were hired. On the day of removal they showed up promptly and went straight to work. It was a big job, but they didn't stop until it was down. I met with many contractors about our side garden and hillside. I came across Juan Reyes at the last minute and read reviews regarding his ability with hillsides. Needless to say, the pictures tell you all you need to know. They installed a beautiful 80ft fence along a steep slope. We decided to replicate the original, so the neighbors get the pretty side, but I don't mind our side either! They did a flagstone patio, terraces, and wooden steps up at the top. Hired Juan Reyes & team to prepare trees for fire season. First they removed tree grown too close to house. Besides fire hazard the roots from this 50 year old tree were ruining the plumbing in kitchen . Professionally cut down 30 foot tree without damaging the house or fence. Did a great job. Carefully cut tree and removed all branches & tree trunk & debris. If we weren't in fire zone I would have kept the wood for the fireplace. Next they shortened , pruned and shaved a row of 40 foot Cypress. Juan himself shook out the old dried debris to help prevent them catching on fire when Santa Ana's begin. Biggest thing was cutting and pruning two gigantic pine trees. They protected neighbors garden & wall and directed tree branches to fall in park behind the house. Masterful job! Took 2 days. Removed dead branches & leaves/ pine. Cleaned backyard and park as well. Neighbors were impressed & asked him to prep their houses too! Also cut back other trees 6' away from house per fire code. We hired Reyes Tree Services to perform brush clearing on our hillside house shortly after we moved in. Juan Reyes did a very thorough walk through with us and explained what he would have his crew do, and also recommended taking out some plants that were particularly prone to fire. Fast forward to last week when I came home from work and suddenly realized our hill was on fire. The fire had started from the road below and quickly burned its way through the brush up towards the house. But when the firefighters showed up at the house a few minutes later, each and everyone of them took one look at our property and said, "Don't worry, you have REALLY good brush clearance." That's the first thing they said. The fire flew up the hill to the line that the brush clearance drew. At the line it pretty much stopped with nowhere else to go. The fire below required at least seven water drops from helicopters, over 110 firemen, more than forty trucks, and lots and lots of water. Again, the first thing LAFD said to us was, "Don't worry, you have REALLY good brush clearance." And we enthusiastically replied, "Reyes." Reyes Tree Services saved our house.
