We normally worked with two other vendors for our landscaping needs, but my mom didn't like their estimates, and we also received a few other estimates, but again, the rate was too high for my mom's liking. How did this landscape and tree care company break through the clutter to get our business!? PURCHASE Tree Removal, Clean Up & Haul Away (Varied; $900.00 in this particular case): A gentleman named Felix came out the day before to do a job assessment after I was blindly and unsolicitedly contacted by a woman named Ruby via text message simply canvassing for potential business. With no set rate card, this solely depended on the extent of the job (i.e. amount, working area, etc.). We briefly discussed what needed to be done, they reassessed the job, and before I knew it chainsaws were buzzing and cranking away at a tree that had grown too close to the neighbor's property line, was now beyond my family's roof line, and consistently made a mess with its constant droppings of branches, flowers, and leaves. Like the story of David and Goliath, David triumphed again as multiple branches and its trunk cascaded and crashed to the earth one swipe at a time. OVERALL Rancho Landscape And Tree Care won our business solely based on price, and mom couldn't have been happier with the results. All communication (initially via text and then in-person) was easy, and the work crew was efficient, nice, respectful, and did a wonderful job cleaning up. They caused damage to my girlfriend's car and the manager is negligent in his duties and responsibilities (Israel, that's you!). Israel is saying that his guys didn't cause the damage but it's so laughable because when I STOPPED THEM from trimming to ask who was in charge or where their manager was, they had no clue! It took them 15 minutes to find wherever he was. After speaking with him, just now getting off the phone, he wants me to take them to small claims court to press charges for the damage. So that's what I'll do since he wants to waste everyone's time instead of just settling the issue and fixing the damage that they are liable for. I'll also be leaving this review to warn everyone to stay away from their company. You guys suck when it comes to accountability. On top of that, their tree trimming was horrible! I needed to have 10 fully mature Italian cypress trees removed from my side yard. After living with them for more than 20 years, the mess they made became intolerable. They don't produce pine needles, tiny granules that cover the walkway and clog gutters. But no more! I asked for and got several bids. While not the lowest bidder, I was impressed with the owner's (Felix, Sr.) expertise and his many years in the business. I expected the job to take 2 days, but they showed up at 7:30 am and worked until 4:00 pm when lead man Jose called to say the were finished. These folks handled a good sized job in my large yard with many trees and hedges. When they were done, all the tree work was great, but I felt they hadn't done what I wanted on a 90-foot hedge. I never usually do not write reviews. However, I was so blown away by Rancho Tree that I felt compelled to do so. They were punctual, easy to talk to, and followed all of my requests. The trimming was done with great care, and was perfect. They did trees in the front and a very large Ficus hedge (25 ft tall and 80 ft long) in the back yard. Leaves and branches everywhere; but their cleanup was meticulous, not a leaf left on the deck or in the pool. All in all, the price was extremely fair, and you need not look any further. Junior walked the property ( Approx 1acre front and back) suggested I hire them for a 1day service to trim trees. The men did a very good job, however at the end of the day there were three trees untrimmed . When I pointed this out to the person in charge, he said that's a whole additional days work! that's not what Junior represented during his interview. Junior then responded he only offered to trim what trees he could complete in one day, not what he implied to me! When confronted with this incomplete days work, he simply stated that's all they could complete in one day. Had he indicated that the job might not be completed in one day, I may have accepted, but he never mentioned they might not complete in one day.........very disappointed and certainly not happy! We are building an ADU in our back yard so we needed a 65' pine tree totally removed, and a podocarpus tree as well, stumps and all. They also thinned out 3 other podocarpus trees and cut all of the deadwood off of our jacaranda tree all for the price of just removing the two trees. Junior is the best. We we had some huge arbor vitaes that were dying one by one, was blowing debris into our neighbor's yard, and more arbor vitaes that could use some trimming in the back. They were really responsive and gave a great pitch. We contracted with them the next day to have many rose bushes and two hibiscus trees removed, along with trimming of some fruit trees and hedges. The work was done and there were some touchups needed for the hedges during the walk-through and we were told they'd be back to take care of these the following day. No one showed up and all but one of the rose bushes have since grown back, meaning they weren't removed completely as discussed. Having now dug them out ourselves, I don't understand how a professional company wasn't able to do it correctly the first time.
