I scheduled our tree trimming for Tuesday at 7:00 a.m. At 6:45 a.m., two beautiful trucks and a crew of eight guys showed up, ready to work. And then I watched them operate. They worked like an elite army unit. Not much talking. Mostly doing. Everyone knew his task. Everyone knew where to be and what to do. They worked together in complete harmony--professional, organized, efficient, and safe. Before hiring them, I also checked their credentials. One thing that really stood out: they were one of the few companies I considered that carried Workers' Compensation insurance. As a homeowner, that matters. A lot. The result? Amazing job. Great experience from beginning to end. Thank you, Valerie, Mike, and the Army for such a great experience and a beautiful result. I highly recommend them! Avner Gat read more

Mike at All About Trees has been our arborist for over 25 years. He and his crew are reliable, hardworking, knowledgeable and very professional. Today we had 3 very large pine trees trimmed and our greatest concern is always the furry friends that call these trees home. Other tree companies may scoff, but Mike understands and his crew always look before they cut. We greatly appreciate this. We also wanted to save branches to use in landscape around our yard. We've seen this at various So Cal parks and arboretums and like the way it adds to the "woodsy" feeling to the flora. The guys not only were courteous about this, they also regularly checked to see if we wanted any of the saved branches trimmed. Some yes, but some long ones will get a special arrangement and the guys helped haul those to a separate staging area. Aside from the 3 very large pines, we had cypress, juniper and a "smaller", juvenile pine we needed trimmed and "tipped." The juniper has a draping privacy aspect to a side patio Hubs was thinking of clearing out, but after walking through and cutting as Hubs pointed, we had a nicely sculpted, shorter drape w/dead branches cleaned out and perfect clearance from the house. The additional pine needed to be clear of a property line, but we also are working towards a particular shape with that tree, since it's young. The crew understood everything, communication was great and Hubs is happy with the results. If you are in need of an excellent, licensed, bonded, professional crew - that has been working together for over 20 years! - call All about trees. Valerie will answer and get you on Mike's calendar for an estimate. Tell them "CC" sent you. Cheers! "CC" read more

Mike is a friendly and knowledgeable guy and helped us clean up our backyard and slope before El Niño hits! The crew arrived on time, worked hard, were very courteous and professional and finished on time. The trees look great. read more

While I could not afford to higher all about trees because their quote was much higher than our current arborist, I was impressed and happy to meet up with Mike who is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about trees and his job and has a fascinating story of growing up and living in the SFV area for over 70 years. He was kind and patient and thorough inspecting my trees. His wife Valerie was very kind via text and email as well. Great family business! read more

I hardly ever leave reviews, but Mike and Valerie at "All About Trees" earned this one. I found them on Yelp for some minor trimming, and Mike came out within hours to give me a fair estimate. They started the job the following Monday, just three days later. While wrapping up, I mentioned three large Cypress trees near my pool that I'd been wanting removed for years. Mike came up with a smart plan using ladders, plywood, and tarps to keep debris out of the pool, and Valerie rearranged the schedule so the crew could come back the very next day. Their whole crew was professional, respectful of my property, and did great work. Highly recommend! read more

Very efficient and friendly crew. Had them trim back a neighbors tree. Prepped and protected my garden and gates, and cleaned up after with care. Would use them again as the pricing was very reasonable for the quality of work. read more

This was the best experience I've had in a while. I had an old dead tree removed and some overgrown bushes. Mike was so helpful and had great advice. The price was more than fair and the team that did the work were hard working, friendly, and efficient. The cleanup after was beyond all expectations. I highly recommend All About Trees. read more

Mike and Valerie and their company All About Trees are fantastic to work with. Total pros, dedicated to doing great work, while also being completely down-to-earth, non-salesy, and very easy to talk to. And they have a top crew, careful about doing everything correctly and carefully (which many tree companies can't say, they often have workers that don't know what they're doing). I can't recommend All About Trees strongly enough. read more

We made an appointment with Valerie for Mike to give us a quote on removing seven cypress trees near our driveway. Mike advised us to have the gas company mark the ground first, as gas lines ran close to where the trees would be removed, a sign of his professionalism and safety awareness. All About Trees provided a reasonable estimate, and Mike's TCIA membership reflects the high standards of his professional, experienced, and knowledgeable commercial tree care business. On Monday, August 4, 2025, Mike and his crew of seven hardworking men removed the seven cypress trees with precision. We were extremely impressed with their professionalism, friendliness, and diligence. Mike personally oversaw the job, and the crew left the property spotless. Our home looks so much better now. If you're looking for an honest tree care company that stands far above the competition, All About Trees--and Mike and Valerie--are the ones to call. We highly recommend them. read more

What a well run company. I'm selling my house and wanted to clean up the trees in my backyard to showcase the view. Valerie sent Mike right away to provide a very reasonable estimate. The next day a crew of 8 hardworking guys arrived to tackle the project. I was relieved to see that the boss, Mike, came as well. I really appreciated him being there as he knew exactly what I wanted and could made sure his guys delivered. Truly a well oiled machine from beginning to end. read more

Mike and his crew came for on iDecember 2024, to trim my mulberry tree and they did a great job. They cleaned everything up and took it away leaving my yard very clean. I highly recommend this business. Mike is very honest and the prices are very fair. This is the second time they trimmed the same tree and we are very pleased . Linda Orozco read more

They really know what they are doing! Great job removing a large tree and grinding stump.

Mike & his team was on time, efficient and completed the job as promised. This included removing the tree & grinding the stump & roots down. They also cleaned up the area as they went, brought a wood chipper & stump grinder and compacted the soil after they completed the tree removal. Price was also competitive . We will definitely use them again to trim all of trees. read more

Working with Mike for twenty years now. Always honestly, fairly priced and does great work.

A month ago we had some trees to remove, 2 midsized established fruits trees that were too close to the fences and a smaller growing one also next to it. The consult was very quick and efficient, and the quote was very fair. When the day came to remove them, they showed up early, expertly removed and disposed of the trees in about an hour, and left zero damage to the fences. They cleaned up afterwards, and left it very neat. I will be using them again for future tree needs read more

They are truthful, reasonably priced and have the expertise you need when cutting down trees. They do not cut down trees just to make money. If the tree is healthy, they will tell you that and advise you to leave the tree alone. This kind of integrity in a "make a quick buck" world is rare and deserves your business. read more

All About Trees was amazing from start to finish. Responsive and clear communication, timely scheduling and overall value. They came recommended by my sister and the service did not disappoint. I called originally for a smaller job pruning w a new ish olive tree out front and then noticed I definitely needed to cut back our walnut in back because branches were hitting our roof. They arrived with a full m crew and handled the work perfectly. It really is both science and an art form to prune trees and this company has it nailed. I can't believe how beautiful everything looks. Will use again and again and again. Save yourself time and book now. read more

The company exceeded my expectations! Valorie was very courteous and helpful in setting up both the initial estimate and the work date. I called on four quality companies (4 stars or more) to give me estimates. All About Trees was the most reasonable and their references were virtually impeccable. Our old jacaranda tree seriously needed a trim. Mike and his team were terrific and removed probably a couple of hundred pounds of branches and foliage and then cleaned up all the debris. The tree looks great now and I'm no longer worried about it dropping a heavy branch in a storm. Very nice people, very easy to work with, and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

Outstanding! We are impressed with the skills, care, service, speed AND price! The combination of super-competent & friendly service, with a great job at a great price is rare, but Mike Linstrom and his crew at All About Trees just knock that ball right out of the park! We're on a half acre, with more than 30 trees of varied age, type and condition. We trim, but things got away from us, stuff got too tall, and "too much" to handle. I had reference, claiming Mike Linstrom to be "really professional and really good", so I called and requested a quote. That process was easy, and a very nice lady called me back, got a lot of information from me and then Mike showed up at the appointment, fully informed and eager to walk the property to "talk trees". Yeah, this guy IS a pro: he knew things about our trees we didn't, had great ideas about how and what to do, filled us with confidence in his company and then sent us a formal bid the following morning for a price I had to verify with the great lady in his offices -- and it was. The All About Trees crew showed up exactly at the appointment time with a bunch of clean trucks, road cones and uniforms that had our neighbors coming over to check out the "fancy tree guys", ha ha! The crew worked, fast, hard and really, really well:. they were coordinated likes team and went through our trees in teams, trimming, shaping and cleaning up. They *shape the trees*: rather than just putting a straight, flat, "chopped off" look on the trimmed trees, they round and curve the trimmed tops -- it looks great! We're impressed, our neighbors saw Mike doing his follow-up walk through afterward, and asked him for service like he gave us. Yes, we wholeheartedly recommend All About Trees! Five Stars! read more

I was referred to Mike at "All About Trees" by Treeland Nursery as I was looking for someone skilled at trimming and shaping olive trees. Scheduling was easy and Mike came out ahead to provide an estimate. His price was very fair and he did an amazing job reshaping my specimen olive tree! It's obvious that he knows what he's doing which was important to me as olive trees are very slow growing and if it wasn't done properly could take years to correct! I highly recommend Mike! read more

Met with Mike and answered my question. Great price. Everything was done on the same day! Thank you. Will definitely use again.

I had a 45 foot, 50 plus year old Mulberry Tree that was diseased and had to come out. All About Trees showed up on time, with a big crew who moved what needed to be moved; covered with plywood and tarps those items that couldn't be moved and they even covered my pond. Then they got to work. It was like watching a ballet...guys in the tree, guy holding ropes tied to the big branches so they could be guided down and then the cuttings out the curb where they were ground up. They finished in record time...cleaned up the debris from the removal and then some and not a single item in the yard was damaged and my pond didn't have any ANY debris in it. I've had large trees removed before but this company was stellar. I would use them again! read more

All About Trees is AMAZING! We had some trees we needed trimmed off some phone lines. Mike came out to give us a quote. While he was here he looked at some other tree projects we were thinking of doing in the future. His prices were great so we ended up doing the tree trimming and some removal of trees that were too close to our home. Mike was super friendly and professional. Valerie helped with scheduling and answered my millions of questions always in a friendly professional way. Mike and Valerie really took the time to really explain the work. His team came today, were ontime, friendly, and left the yard neater then when they arrived! Super happy to have found Mike and Valerie at ALL ABOUT TREES! read more

Mike and Valerie lead the most amazing tree company service I have ever did business with. Ms. Valerie is always there to pick up the phone and was so attentive, hospitable and understanding. They were prompt and did the jobs so well! My landscaping is now spectacular because of Mike and Valerie! I was amazed as to how thorough and efficient they were when they removed trees and brush. They were so professional and Mike always made sure things were going perfectly. He always does a pre-meeting to make sure all the items are addressed. Their prices are also great and very competitive. I chose them as they had great reviews and amazing prices. They also give receipts that are so detailed and professional. Absolutely the BEST trimming job we have ever experienced in 20 years at our challenging hillside property. Owner Mike is hands-on and the respect shared between him and his long-term, capable staff shows in the quality of their work. Very professional yet practical, Mike is an excellent listener and communicates effectively with his team. Prices were fair and no higher than lesser competitors. BEWARE OF IMPOSTERS, we accidentally spoke with another tree group who advertised intentionally using the All About Trees name... Very, very happy with this job. Trimming done right! read more

What a relief to find a fantastic company to help us with our project. Highly recommended!

I moved to a different state recently but wanted to write a review for All About Trees. I used their services quite a few times over the years. This is a family owned company. I had a nasty neighbor who never trimmed her Eucalyptus tree, which was three stories high, and hung over into our yard. She would not take care of her tree as it didn't bother her at all that I had my young kids playing in the yard at the time. After almost taking her to court and my lawyer writing her a letter, we worked out a deal where we would split the tree trimming fee in half. I spent thousands over the years I lived in the San Fernando Valley as these trees grow like weeds. Mike and Valerie were always good about working with this difficult person. This company really knows what they're doing and care about what they're trimming. They also are good at taking care of nuts like her! read more

A very professional company and courteous crew. All About Trees has always taken expert care of trees for our family.
