Cifuentes Tree Services did an excellent job repairing my sloped lawn, which had noticeable erosion issues. Deniss and his associate built new retaining walls, leveled the hillside, added wood mulch, and seeded the remaining areas with great care. Their fast response, affordable pricing, and ability to finish everything within the same week made the whole experience outstanding! read more

All went well with this company after a one-day delay. The work was done on time and things were cleaned up alright.

Deniss of Cifuentes Tree Service was excellent to work with. He was responsive, communicative, professional, and very polite throughout the entire process. What stood out to me most was that he seemed earnest and honest, and he clearly understood exactly what needed to be done. He and his associate did a great job with the work and left my backyard clean when they were finished. I also really appreciated that they made sure to clean up my neighbors' yards as well if any branches fell onto their property. That level of care and consideration was impressive. I was very pleased with their pricing, reliability, and the quality of the work. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them. read more

We have these giant Birds of Paradise in our backyard. They get dirty over time and need to be trimmed every 5 years or more. I found Cifuentes Tree Service here on Yelp. I sent Deniss a few pictures. We agreed on a price, date and time and they preformed the work as requested. They cleaned up everything when they were done. All good! Pretty straight forward really. Deniss and his crew did an amazing job for a reasonable price. I had a massive bush that needed to be cut and hauled away. Dennis and his team were hands down the best! This tree in front of our home has been a pain, getting into piping, uprooting the sidewalk, uprooting our yard. We've been doing some work around the house and felt it was time to remove the large tree causing damage. Cifuentes provided us the cheapest quote and great service! They were prompt, came in with all of equipment and was done by midday. Seriously one of the best contractors for tree removal. You can tell they also take safety seriously. Thank you guys so much! read more

Had a huge tree leaning over my house. Denis (Dennis? Deniss? there's no consensus here ) gave me a great quote, and also told me he'd be there on the day of the job, working it. In other words, he wasn't just the "quote" guy, he was the hands-on owner. He and his guys were great. First off, they were all friendly and nice, and still that way late into the afternoon. They also all spoke English, not that that mattered, but it was nice for me to know I could ask any of them a question and not have to find Denis. My tree leaned out way over my roof, and I told Denis I was concerned about stuff hitting it while they worked. I'd done brush clearance and other tree removal in the past, and even using the rope system, it's always happened that *some* branches, etc, have hit my roof during the process (never any damage, to my knowledge, but boy, it sounds like a bomb going off inside the house). Well, not a sound from these guys! They were good to their word about being careful with my roof. And lastly, they did two little things that *no one* doing this kind of work for me has ever done before: 1. They unscrewed the sprinkler heads around where they were working so they wouldn't break. And 2. when I went to look out my kitchen window to check progress, I couldn't actually see anything as they'd put boards up against that window to protect it. Now these might be "standard" things tree people do, but, as I said, it was the first time anyone's ever did this for me. And I've had 4-5 different companies over the years doing this kind of work. Highly recommended. read more

Deniss was fantastic to work with. He was straight-forward, knowledgable, and gave me a good price immediately. His crew was right on time and did a major trimming and topping of 4 large trees, multiple small trees removed, and bamboo shaping and trimming. They went out of their way to protect my house and deck, clean the area afterwards, and make sure I was happy with the work. He also quoted and created a plan for planting a privacy hedge while he was here. I've worked with quite a few tree service companies and landscapers and his team is one of the best! read more

The company was prompt to respond to our request to trim our tree. Deniss responded, asked for our address to inspect the tree and asked for a picture. After I sent the picture, Deniss responded with a price for trimming, shaping and cleaning up. With other comparable quotes from other tree services, we agreed and scheduled service with Deniss because his crew was able to do the work at a time and day that fit into our availability. On the day of our scheduled service, the crew showed up and immediately said the tree was bigger than they thought, and wanted more money. I showed them the conversation from Yelp, and what Deniss agreed to. The crew said they would not do the work for the price given, and asked for more money. We didn't agree to paying more, so the crew left. I would not recommend this business because I believe they did a bait and switch. Dennis chose not to come out and see the tree in person, used the picture he asked for to price the job. He sent his crew out and then tried to get more money from us to do the work. read more

Didn't do the agreed upon work. I made the mistake of not getting the job details in writing and got 40% or what was agreed. Better get your estimate in writing as Denis will do less than agreed upon and won't return a text once paid. read more

Honest, efficient, convenient, solid value. We got exactly what we asked for in a fast timeframe with great clean up. My wife left for work and came back to find no trucks and all the work done. Magic! When there were questions about the work the guys we easy to communicate with and 'got it' when it came to what we were trying to accomplish. And they had suggestions I hadn't thought of. I really do wish more contractors were this easy to work with. I also wish I had more tree work to send their way and I've added their business card to the (small) stack of quality operations I'll call again and refer to friends. read more

Deniss and his team were incredible. After the recent rains (Feb 23) a huge eucalyptus tree fell in our backyard, inches from causing structural damage. Deniss arrived within 2 hours (!) on a Saturday to assess the situation and assembled his 5 man team the very next day to handle it. His price was extremely fair for how quickly they were able to do the job, and they were so kind and considerate. Would give 10 stars if i could! read more

Cifuentes Tree Service was easy to contact and communicated effectively throughout the process. They provided a fair estimate when they came by, and the next day, they returned to complete the work. They did an outstanding job shaping and trimming the tree. Unlike many services that just cut off the main branches, leaving stumps, this team took the time to carefully shape the tree. They expertly shaped and trimmed my 35-foot tree, and it looks absolutely perfect. read more

Dennis and crew arrived on time and performed a wonderful and speedy tree and bush trimming job at my house for a very reasonable price. I needed someone to trim our ficus tree that has overgrown. I received a few quotes and Deniss had a competitive quote. He also said he would be able to do a t the next day. Seeing all there 5 stars I was a little wary but I read the comments so I went ahead and scheduled with them. I am so glad I did. He suggested to me the best way to trim the tree and I told him to do what he think is the best option. It came out great. I've had my tree trimmed before and they cut it totally bald. I hired them to remove trees which they did do. I was discussing with them my plans after as the owner stated he can place artificial grass and redo the cement. Their work is very bad. The grass seams can be seen. The cement layer was so thin it started flaking off and I had to threaten them with legal action where he didn't want to fix it without me spending more money for his mistakes. I do not recommend them at all for anything. read more

Quick and efficient. Fire Department inspections for hillside brush clearance going on right now, so I called around and got some quotes. Got some very different quotes, some may have been too-good-to-be-true, some were much higher, but those guys wanted to do much more (one proposal involved a four-man team, all-day, clean-up all the way up the hill). These guys were in the middle in terms of their approach and pricing. Dennis and Victor (two-man team) came out and had the visible parts of the hill cleaned up in just three hours. They seemed to have a good sense of what LAFD is looking for (trimmed up tree branches away from the ground, removed all the visible dead brush) and didn't do anything extra. At first I was concerned about whether my property beyond my fence would need to be cleared as well, but they did a little bit more clearing there and Dennis also said they would come back if LAFD gave me issues about it. Works for me. read more
