I had an AWESOME experience working with Elbin and his crew. I vetted quite a few contractors before landing with him, and I'm really happy I did. They were super professional, knowledgeable, and their pricing was very competitive. I have a large corner house so the front yard is very large (~4,000 sq ft). I got approved by LADWP to do the Turf Replacement project and Elbin gave me a ton of confidence working with him on it right out of the gate. They walked me through their process and talked through how we'd approach the designs I got for the project. They stuck to a tight deadline and went above and beyond to get it done exactly how we wanted. We had to replace our overhead sprinklers with drip, we installed this massive and beautiful dry river bed, put in 2 DG paths, and planted over 150 plants. Plus a boat load of walk-on bark mulch. This was a BIG project and they finished it flawlessly within a week's time. The only delays we had were due to Mother Nature as we had rain mid-way through. It's incredibly unfortunate that I have to be writing this tonight. They've been our gardeners for years since we purchased our home at the end of 2019 and have always kept our home landscaping in pretty decent condition. However, over the last couple years, I've had to repeatedly tell the workers who are at my house every week to keep the gates closed while they are on our property. We have two huskies and they are very curious about open doors. I had a strange feeling that one day our dogs would wander off while they were here. Today, it happened. One of my dogs walked right in front of them and out the gate while they watched it happen. (I have it on camera as our property has several surrounding every entrance of our home.) They didn't even bother to inform my husband who works from home. I was at work (I'm a teacher, so I don't always have the time to check my phone.) and my husband was in meetings all morning so he didn't see the alerts either. My heart sank into my stomach because the day I dreaded finally came. Elbin is incredibly lucky that my dog was unharmed and a Good Samaritan had picked him up and contacted us. But the pure disrespect from the workers is beyond me. I've never seen anyone lack complete common sense to inform someone on the property about something that happened in front of their eyes. This isn't the first time either, but this is the first time our dogs left our property completely. I'm completely disappointed. read more

I have worked with Abel for close to 10 years. He in incredibly reliable, capable and trustworthy. He has nurtured my trees for years (I have a 3/4 acre property), cutting them back each year perfectly and to enhance their future growth and health. He has done a great job installing astro turf. He also laid sod for me and it was done perfectly. And he's taking care of irrigation systems. Abel is knowledgeable about all aspects of landscaping. He and his crew have come in and done a thorough and deep aeration of my compacted planters, bringing in tons of good organic soil and mixing it all together - a back breaking job! I had called and set an appointment with Elbin for April 21, 2021 at 8:30 in the morning. We needed a complete overhaul of the landscaping in front and backyards of our rental home in Reseda. I drove from Long Beach (not a fun thing to do) to meet him and he did not show up. I called the company and got no answer but left a message that I would continue to wait until 9:15. No returned call. Not that day, not ever. Rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional! I will never do business with a company that does not have the courtesy of a returned call, especially since they were aware that I had a 1+ hour drive each way. This work involved landscaping on my property and my two adjacent neighbors' properties to trim my overgrown podocarpus trees. They also trimmed two palm trees and my neighbor's bougainvillea hedges and lemon tree. In other words, it was a lot of work. Elbin is easy to communicate with (he speaks English well) and was enthusiastically receptive to any area where I thought more work was needed.
