I have used Reyes Tree Services twice. The first time was last year to remodel my front yard. The work included removal of the existing grass replacing it with DG, an efficient water wise new sprinkler system, decorative brick borders, and general clean up. The workers were prompt, efficient, careful and respectful of my property, and attentive to the project. Juan Reyes was hands-on and frequently visited and supervised the work progress. I was so impressed with the new beauty and significant reduction of water usage. Reyes Tree Services just completed the renovation of my backyard . I am now doubly pleased. I have two beautiful yards to enjoy. An additional plus, I am a good citizen because of my significant reduction of water usage. I highly recommend Reyes Tree Services. read more

Very pleased with their work. Very efficient and conscientious. Definitely would hire again.

I contacted Reyes Tree Services because of their positive Yelp reviews. We had a half dozen bird planted maturing 'volunteer' trees growing next to our backyard fence that we wanted to remove, 2 very old orange trees that hadn't been groomed in 40 years, 2 massive out of control yucca trees, 2 queen palms loaded with fronds, and two large Carolina Cherry Trees one of which was mostly dead imperiling our neighbors yard and the other with branches draped on our roof and patio cover. In addition to this, we had 100 feet of creeping fig growing on the alley side of our backyard that we had been cited by the city to remove. Much of our vegetation had numerous windblown palm fronds distributed in the higher branches. There were a couple of other items on our list, so all in all, this was a fairly decent size job. After a couple of appointment mixups, Juan surveyed our job and emailed an estimate a couple of days later. We chose Reyes over another highly rated service on Yelp because of Juan's lower price. So how did they do? They arrived in the alley behind our house equipped with a bucket, stump grinder, chipper, hauling truck, and trailer a half hour ahead of the 8AM start time. The nearly dead 25' tall Carolina Cherry was located in the far corner of our backyard and had large branches that, when cut, could have fallen and easily damaged our neighbor's pool equipment as well as their fence and ours. Amazingly, they managed to take down the upper 15' of that tree without harming anything. They did a great job removing the volunteer trees, grinding stumps and grooming everything else. I'm not sure how many trips they made to the dump, but they hauled a huge amount of stuff out of our yard. At the end of the day, they completely cleaned up after themselves. On top of this, they cleaned up pre-existing messes on our roof and patio cover along with two pre-existing piles of palm fronds that weren't part of the agreed to job. Juan didn't ask for anything else, but we were so happy with their work and the way they left our yard that we paid Juan and tipped his workers a total of $230 more than his estimate. We highly recommend Reyes Tree Services. read more

As a property manager, I am so happy to have found Reyes Tree Services. I've had many trees pruned or removed. They are very good at what they do. They know how to prune a tree and make it look good. They remove trees safely with skill. The crew is outstanding. They work well together to get the job done. They are respectful and friendly. Couldn't ask for anything more. They have fair pricing and prompt service. They are also licensed and insured. read more

Juan did a great job on our landscape. So happy with the results. He even came back and fixed something that got ruined with the rain months later. Highly recommend! read more

WOW! I AM THRILLED WITH THE WORK THIS TEAM DID TODAY! They were professional, polite, knowledgeable, but most important, they exceeded my expectations of how it would look! They trimmed and cleaned and shaped several of my trees and shrubs. They are artists! The estimate was higher than some of the other bids, but I trusted Juan and it was TOTALLY worth it! They also left my yard cleaner than it was before! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

I can unreservadely recommend Mr. Juan Reyes tree-trimming service. Juan personally surveyed the trees I needed extensively trimmed and he and his well-prepared crew arrived promptly over two days to complete a clean, elegant pruning of my trees. The crew protected both my and my neighbor's property from any inadvertent damage, and completed their work despite unexpected high winds. My property has been beautifed by their expertise. read more

Juan worked on my niece's house and she recommended him to me. Juan and his crew came in and took care of my trees which were sadly in need of a lot of work. They were efficient and left my yard clean . they are a pleasure to deal with read more

After meeting with several contractors I turned to YELP and found Reyes Tree. I came across reviewer Evelyn C.'s photo of her yard back in 2018 and I knew I had to have Juan look at our project. And I'm sooo glad we did. I met with Juan several times. Booking appointments was easy with Marla at the office. Juan was good with communicating even if he was running late he would text or call. He is a good contractor and has all his licensing up to date. He was easy to talk to and after I mentioned that I saw what he did for Evelyn C. he knew exactly the vision we had. He put me at ease when other contractors did not. He answered all our questions and gave really good suggestions. Once we broke ground, Juan and his crew worked tirelessly and fearlessly, landscaping our ugly hodgepodge of a dirt hill into a beautiful mini botanical garden with a rope led stair path, lighting, and two sitting areas. We were so impressed with his crew. They completed this giant job in just 10 days, even dealing with some light rain and working on Saturday. They were polite and really hard working and Navor (the man could probably build pyramids) built it all from scratch and was very detailed and a great engineer. We basically worked with Juan with a general idea and Navor and his crew just hit it out of the park! We are so happy with our new space! Thank you so very much Reyes Tree and crew:)) read more

Juan came to my house within a day of my calling. I requested a tree be trimmed on one side and he gave me advice on keeping the integrity of the tree by trimming a bit from the entire tree which I agreed needed to be done. He promptly sent an estimate the next morning which I found to be very reasonable. I had a few other companies here and I think they were all afraid of how tall this tree is and what a big job it was as I never got the estimates from them. Reyes Tree Services came to do the job a few days later. I still can't believe what a great job they did. My neighbors were also so impressed they called Juan over to look at their yard to get an estimate while he was here. They were such a nice crew and attentive to making sure my roof and pool equipment did not get damage. I hope Juan stays in business a long time. He is my go to guy for the yard. read more

Recently we had Juan Reyes and his team back for a third visit. As usual, they provided punctual, organized and complete service -- doing everything we asked, and responding with admirable care to our neighbors' concerns. The price was again very reasonable, the cleanup perfect, and our neighbors are happy too. The crew is experienced, efficient, and personable. A great experience, and we look forward to having JR back in a couple of years. read more

He was on time, polite, affordable estimate he cut down the wrong tree. I thought I communicated poorly although I expressed the reason the tree needed removed. He came back and for another fee I showed him the tree, explained why I needed it cut (branches too close to neighbors power lines). He gave an estimate to remove parts of the tree. He was several hours late. I had an appointment, against my better judgment I paid and left him to finish the job. I returned home the tree was still completely there. I called no answer. read more

It had been a while since we trimmed our trees, Juan came highly recommended from a few neighbors and I now see why. He's price was reasonable and his workers were prompt and nice. They did great work. Juan came at the start of the job and also came by at the end of the job to check the work. I will use him regularly now. Highly recommend. read more

Juan's crew did an excellent job trimming our trees. We've been using another service for the last 15 years, but this year needed to switch. His bid was a little bit more than the other companies I contacted, but I was impressed with his knowledge and understanding of what needed to be done in regards to the health of the trees. I'm glad I chose Reyes! I felt like I got more of an arborist, and less of someone just coming to do the job. Also, they did a great job protecting all of my other plants, and did an excellent cleanup. read more

I'm thrilled! My appointment with Juan was at 3 on Saturday. He showed up at 2:58, unheard of for a contractor. The job was to remove 4 full sized trees, trim one other tree, totally clear our my backyard including leveling it, install planters with drip lines, and fill in the yard with decomposed granite. He told me when we met it'll take them about 3 days. Of course I've heard that story before. They didn't finish in the 3 days as he promised me, they finished in 2. Are you kidding me? They did an amazing job. I gave Juan very little guidance and I was absolutely blown away with the entire job. I would recommend Juan and his crew to anyone who wants a responsible landscape contractor. Ken read more

I'm so grateful to Juan Reyes and his crew for the transformative job they did in my backyard (January and February 2022). I got the recommendation from my neighbor (mature pine trimming, retaining wall) and I'm so glad I did. Juan was able to pivot with me as we explored ideas and solutions together. Here is what we did: retaining walls, stairs, lots of soil brought in, flagstone patio, hardwired landscape lighting (including moon light in a pine tree) drip sprinkler system, new plantings and mulch. We now have useable space and landscaping where none existed before and our backyard looks so so good. Two final thoughts- the overall cost was lower then friends with experience in this space expected and Juan answered my calls and promptly fixed an issue we had with animals eating holes in a flexible line, and was there to listen when I had a plumbing issue that had nothing to do with him. You should feel confident hiring Juan Reyes. read more

Wow! Where to begin! From the complimentary quote throughout the project, Reyes Tree Services was beyond professional and efficient. Juan Reyes himself came to do the estimate for me to remove a large, ivy covered tree, trim 2 trees, and remove a bunch of overgrown vines and clear out the back and side yard from this overgrowth as well. Despite me constantly changing my mind about what exactly I wanted to do with the trees etc, Juan was always very open and willing to answer questions and provided me a quote a la cart style. Competitive pricing and they really want to earn your business. Juan and his crew were quick and eager to start the project and were able to remove the overgrowth and trees in 2 days, and were able to do some hillside landscaping within 2 days as well. What sold me to Juan to do my landscaping was also the fact that he is very knowledgeable about various plant species and what would flourish best in my neighborhood. He involved me in the process the entire way and wanted to make sure that as a customer I was satisfied. Thanks Juan and Reyes Tree services! read more

I stopped at one of their jobs to as if I could have some of the scrap wood. The gentleman on charge was quick to oblige and offered to let me take as much as I would like. Not only did they kindly cut more than 30 slices of branch, they cut a slice of the largest part of the tree trunk and loaded into my vehicle. I watched them work for some time and not once did I see anyone be unprofessional. I offered to get pizza, which they politely declined, as pizza was not a favorite, so I gave them some cash for lunch and while I was waiting, one of the men left to get lunch for everyone else. There were about 7 or 8 guys, all of them, hard workers. Even the boss was doing heavy lifting. read more

Juan Reyes and his team of 5 are excellent in every way. He is helpful, trustworthy, goes above and beyond to make you happy. His guys are extremely great at planting, trimming, landscaping, sprinklers, moving things around and just making everything look like you live in Beverly Hills. Mr. Reyes even took me to a killer nursery over on Lassen and Reseda blvd and saved me a ton of money on my trees. A Tree Farm in Calabasas wanted $970 for trees he got me for $300! Not only that his estimate was so fair, I wasn't sure he got all my requests in the estimate. He just comes and takes care of business. He is in the service business and will ALWAYS get my business again and again. Also he is a very nice man and a musician/singer which I like too. Don't waste your time on the "certified arborist" BS pitch, that is a con to get alot more money from these other tree trimmers. I got those estimates too. Ridiculous money... Go with Reyes. They Rock! read more

Juan Reyes was prompt when estimating the job and his crew was equally prompt, professional, and hard working. Pricing was the lowest of the three quotes received and they did a great job. Mr. Reyes has been doing this since he was 16 working alongside his father. He is very humble as is his crew. I highly recommend these guys! read more

Juan and his team were amazing! They were able to get my yard done in 3 days. THREE DAYS! What we thought would take one week turned into three days. We were so blown away. His crew really got the job done in lightning speed with HIGH quality. We are so happy with the outcome. Juan even came to check on all the plants and trees to ensure they were growing correctly. He has been doing this for so many years and his experience truly reflects in the work they do. We cant thank and recommend them enough. Thank you Juan for an impeccable job. If your looking for tree trimming and or other tree services... You can stop right here! You've found the right company! I have only good things to say about Reyes Tree Services Inc. Juan is the owner (and is also onsite with his crew), and he is wonderful to work with. and NO, I'm NOT a family member! I have two 60' trees in my front yard, an Ash and a Sycamore. As well as two Palms (70' each) in the back yard. None had been trimmed in about 10 years. Total price was $4000, from Reyes. I called four Companies to get bids for tree trimming, and had to leave messages for all four. Reyes was the first to call me back, came the following day to see the trees and was by far the lowest price (one company took four days to return the call). Best of all he gave me an estimate on the spot (one took four days to get an estimate after seeing the trees and was double everyone else). The next great thing is that they had an opening the following week, six days from seeing the trees. They have their own insurance coverage, Workmans Comp and Calif/LA licenses and were very careful to protect our flowers, bushes, fruit trees, storage sheds, spa, etc. His guys worked fast and safe. They completed the Sycamore and the Ash in one day and the Palms the next day. They did a great job of shaping the trees, not just lopping off limbs. I was amazed at the clean-up job they did! From blowing off the house's roof to raking leaves from our mulch covered low water yards. read more

Juan, Oscar, and everyone else who works for Reyes Tree Services are absolutely wonderful, and so incredibly efficient. I've used them for tree trimming and for vine/shrub removal, and both times they've done an outstanding job. We got quotes from a few other services who estimated our vine/shrub removal would take 2-3 days - Reyes came in and did it all within six hours. Truly mind-blowing, and I can't recommend them enough. read more

We used Reyes Tree Service in 2016. Juan, the owner, gave us the quote and showed up at the house the morning of the job! Unfortunately, we needed to have a very large tree cut down in our front yard. The crew placed plywood along the side of the roof line to protect it, they were efficient, and they did a great job cleaning up. We also had them trim the rest of our trees. Overall a great experience! read more

Juan and his crew came to our house and got to work promptly. They removed a lot of soil from our front yard, smoothed it out w/ DG and planted two trees. The work was done swiftly and smoothly and all for a fair price. would recommend! read more

I have had two great experiences with the company, Reyes Tree Services. First, I needed to remove two monster 100 ft. palm trees. I contacted several other companies and received really high estimates, but Juan Reyes was the only one willing to come out and look at the trees in person. His estimate was priced very fair and easily beat the other companies. His crew arrived early and skillfully and quickly removed the palm trees. After taking down the trees, they cleaned away the huge amount of debris and even carved out the stumps into gorgeous planters! After that excellent job, I decided to see what Juan could do to help beautify an area of dead grass in my front yard. He offered a very fairly priced estimate for landscaping. He worked patiently with me and provided his expertise on what would look best for my yard. We had great communication. Together, we picked out drought tolerant plants, beautiful rock and high quality decomposed granite. The results were spectacular! I couldn't be happier with the way my front yard looks now. If you're looking to get tree services, gardening or landscaping, I highly recommend Reyes Tree Services. You won't be disappointed because Juan Reyes is the best in the business. read more

They came once a week and blew dead leaves out of the yard. Over about a year, they did less and less. No blowing around the sides of the house, no trimming of flowers and bushes. I asked them to clear some dead branches, they smiled and said yes but did nothing. It became a dense tangle of brush, so I asked them to clear it a little at a time over a few weeks, they smiled and said yes but again, did nothing. It had been a busy year but eventually I had time to do it myself. It wasn't so hard for me, a woman closing in her 60th birthday. I have to assume that the yard service is a different crew to the brush clearance service who are well reviewed. The yard service crew truly did the bare minimum, rarely staying more than 10-15 minutes per week, and not even turning up every week. Needless to say, I no longer use them. read more

Juan was on time to the first appointment for the free estimate. He knew exactly what he was doing and what needed to be done. He removed the pine tree in front of my house and removed the stump. Well, as much as I would like to give a good review, I can't because Juan said he was going to come by at a specific hour and date, and 4 hours after and he is still not here. We have hired Reyes Tree Services on several occasions and we have always been very pleased with the work. The office staff promptly returns calls and is very professional. The estimates for service always come very quickly and are clearly laid out. Juan Reyes is very knowledgeable and his crew does an excellent job. The crew went above and beyond on the last job, they fixed up our patio with some spare pavers after removing plants. It looks great. I would certainly hire them again. read more

I couldn't ask for a better service. Reyes Tree Service had just completed extensive tree trimming for our next door neighbors, where we noted excellent tree shaping and a very thorough clean up. Based on the job he did for our neighbors, we had Juan walk through our yard with us where we described what we wanted. Juan immediately provided us with a complete written quote detailing what we discussed. We gave him a go ahead the next day. Juan's crew arrived on time and did an excellent job and clean up (including checking our sprinkler system for damage). Based on our experience, we fully recommend Reyes Tree Service. read more

I hired Juan Reyes and his crew do some cleanup in my landscaping as well as replacing a wooden planter, in August 2017. They did a terrific job and were thoughtful, professional, hard-working, and careful of details. I appreciated Juan discussing various options with me, such as removing a tree with/without stump removal, and different types of materials that can be used to build a planter. One of the things they did was clear off vines that had climbed up and around the telephone cables above my backyard - which another tree service (Kerry's) had REFUSED to do! Unlike Kerry's Tree Service, Juan Reyes and his crew were very careful not to scrape or knock anything over while carrying branches out to their truck. I would definitely hire them again. Work done: removed old wooden fence and clear the ground to make room for a new fence to be installed. Removed some trees. Cut vines off of telephone cables. Removed old wooden planter and installed new planter. read more
