This is a follow-up to my Five Star Review of October, 2010, After my last service call by Rancho Services a couple of years ago (which I ended up being very happy about as usual) , I'd "cheaped out" on carpet cleaning for a time and bought a "nice" home carpet cleaner and began doing it myself. That was a mistake. While it seemed to work out OK at first, after about six months it got to the point where I could get my carpets looking good for a month and then they got dirty again quickly in the same places. I was essentially camouflaging the problems and not dealing with the consequences of owning three labrador retrievers that like to bring the outside in in every way possible. I finally threw the carpet cleaner away because it was killing my back and was leaving residue behind unless I went over it three or four times with warm water and a lot of suction. I was spending a full day doing this and what's more, the supplies for it were expensive and ultimately, ineffective. I called Corky over at Rancho and felt like a noob when I told him I'd been DIY'ing it. He laughed and welcomed me back. He had two great crew members there pronto and they did a fantastic job in a fraction of the time I had been spending. They were very careful with everything they moved and of course, propped all the furniture up on foam blocks so it didn't get water damaged. That in and of itself is worth the price they charge. I will never, ever do my own carpets again. Given the reasonable fee structure Rancho has and the superb quality of their work and service, it just doesn't make sense to DIY it. I'm baffled why there aren't many more 5 Star reviews showing up for Rancho Services because I know people that have posted them. I'm guessing it has something to do with the Yelp algorithm. Please know that my neighborhood is full of people that have used Rancho Services for many, many years. You won't do better anywhere else. TL;DR Rancho Rocks - DIY carpet cleaning is a waste of time and effort. read more

We have really old carpet (over 15 years old) and never had our carpets professionally cleaned. We did it ourselves over the years, but we just could not get it to look decent. When we purchased the house new the carpet was a cream/beige color. And when we called Rancho Carpet Cleaning we had brown & black stains from our dogs, black makeup stains from our teenage daughter, a red wine stain and general dirt from our yard. These guys got every stain up and our old carpet looked new again. Totally AMAZING!! We will definitely call them again, but it won't take us 15 years. Rancho Services came to my employer after an early morning catastrophic flood from a burst fire hydrant left 2 inches of water and saturated carpets throughout a 15,000SF facility. Their team of professionals appeared within half hour of the phone call. Their team went to work quickly removing all standing water and lifting furniture and electronics off the floor to prevent further damage and mold. Then went about removing saturated drywall/insulation, setting up blowers and dehumidifiers, and quarantining off areas all in a single day!!! They even provided service for the month long renovation and clearance process. Without their immediate and expert action we would have lost much more business. Rancho Services exhibited stellar service and professionalism throughout the disruptive and stressful process. 5/5, I wish I could give them more stars! read more

Rancho Services was recommended by our realtor when we bought our home 20 years ago. She was picky about what local goods and services she endorsed, since her reputation was at stake, so we had a feeling they would serve us well. And they have for many years. Our home is populated by a couple of people and three black labs. The latter can shed much hair and also bring in great deal of dirt and grime in their comings and goings. We waited far too long to call Rancho Services since our last cleaning, but having recently just had our carpets cleaned, they once again did an awesome job on the carpets in our home. They helped move furniture, placed foam spacers/plastic protectors under all furniture legs and then proceeded to clean with gusto. Our family had a recent flood from a burst pipe that sent water from our rooftop down through 5 layers of our home. I had heard that Rancho had amazing dry-out crews from clients I'd worked with. So I called them immediately after making those frantic first calls to our insurance agent & the plumber. Rancho came running -- dropping everything to send immediate help -- with trucks, people, and equipment to our home! They were swift, silent & effective, starting the work and tear out ASAP to minimize further spread of damage. There was barely a trace of dust or evidence that they were needing to remove so much debris from two stories up. That's how were clean and pure they are! In fact, their guys Corky, Justino & Xavier treated our home like it was their own and minimized the effect on our daily lives all while removing the necessary layers that were poised to destroy even more if left sitting. It is a total loss of a giant room,... Ceiling, walls, floors & cabinetry. But even as the dry out is still going on 6 days later, I welcome their daily visits to check the progress of fans and dehumidifiers all while they carefully disassemble another area every day in their closed off space to spare us any more mess & disruption. I am incredibly impressed and grateful for the care and professionalism that the men of Rancho Services have shown us. They are extremely quality people!! And in the midst of all of the confusion and chaos of a flood, we feel lucky to know someone who can guide us through these initial stages of getting things back to normal. Rancho Services are true professionals!! They literally saved the day. Having a flood happen in the middle of the night is a true nightmare for any homeowner! We placed a frantic call off hours and had someone here first thing the next morning. They were understanding, sympathetic and thorough as thorough could be. I have used Rancho Carpet for over 20 years. They have little to no turn over of their dedicated staff. They are fully trustworthy, do a great job, and the price is fair. The owners are a couple of young guys who decided to start a local business and they are still at it. They have great vans and equipment that gets the job done. It's nice to see the same faces show up each time I call.
