My very favorite thing there is the carne asada fries. And if you are lactose intolerant like I am, just pop a couple Lactaid & get to grubbin'. My husband's favorite thing is the Brussels sprouts with chorizo. They are really good. And the drink menu is pretty nice. We have had really slow service the last two visits, though. This is a great place to dine with a nice atmosphere. Service was good but a little slow; however, possibly understaffed for the lunch rush. My bestie and I popped in to have dinner here recently. I got a house margarita with tjin on the rim along with an 8 Oz sirloin steak cooked medium well, garlic mashed potatoes and elote corn. My drink was really good, and had just the right amount of kick. The steak was very juicy and flavorful. I was very surprised at how flavorful each bite was. The elote corn was kinda creamy but so good and filling. The garlic mashed potatoes were OK, they could have used a bit more flavor but overall my meal was very filling and tasty. The service was wonderful. We walked right in and were able to be seated promptly. The service was a 10/10 and the ambiance was cute as well. The restaurant looks so good; Such an improvement! Our food was excellent!! Chicken fried steak is my husband's "go to" and he said that it might just be the best he ever had! Tried the new Steakhouse today and it was absolutely the best place to get a steak within an hours drive. The service was great and we didn't wait long at all for our food. The steak was perfectly tender, properly cooked, and flavored to where no condiments are needed! Salad was fresh and tasty. We did not try anything we didn't like. It is priced as a Steakhouse so be prepared to share or know that going in. It can be a little noisy at rush hour, so maybe come after 6 if you want to sit outside. read more

arrived at 8pm on a Saturday night and the place was still open and busy. It was our first time there and we were a party of five. they stuck us in the far end corner by the garage doors and the area was cold. The outside area by the garage doors was the area where the smokers gathered to smoke, so needless to say if you're a non smoker or allergic to nicotine, it's not a good area to be in. The service was good. The food was okay. Either the chef was ready to get off for the night or maybe that's the flavor of their meals. We were not impressed. I asked about my military discount, sure you'll get it. When paying for five, every penny helps and I shouldn't have to verify that it's on the bill when I already asked about it. I made sure that I gave our server an outstanding tip. At least we tried the place. Can't wait for the new steakhouse to open up in Pittsburg. read more

The food is extraordinary! I wish I took pics for this post. My husband had the sirloin medium with green beans and mashed potatoes. I have to say it is one of the best steaks I've ever had. It was grilled crispy (seared perfectly)on the edges, juicy and cooked a perfect medium through out the steak. It is definitely worth getting if you go. I had the grilled chicken that was so moist and tender and seasoned perfectly with fried, seasoned potatoes and chili-lime rice pilaf... OMG , so delicious. Do yourself a favor and just try this place if you haven't. Hands down 5-stars. The service is awesome too, very attentive and friendly. read more

This is a very nice restaurant with great Texas decor. We both ordered the ribeye steaks, which were cooked to perfection. The dinner salad was really good, too. We ordered the roasted potatoes which were served mushy and cold. If they had just put them under the broiler to crisp them up, they would have been eatable instead of tasting like leftovers. We will return for the delicious steaks and to check out the live entertainment which they have on weekends. read more

Food: my wife's meal was fine. Quite a bit of my meal was severely burnt! They replaced it, and that meal was fine, but I am disappointed that the cook would give the first meal to the server, as badly as it was charred. It was so bad, it smelled terrible! How could anyone fail to notice that? Service: Our server was not surly, but was not in the least friendly, either. She didn't introduce herself like the other servers. She didn't check on us after bringing the food out. She didn't notice that the food was burnt while bringing it out. I had to hunt her down and show it to her. She did offer to have the meal done over, though. On the whole, this experience was not up to the good level we have had before here, and it will be a while before we come back. read more

We have been there 4 times and two of the times I ordered steak, medium rare. Both times WAY over cooked and dry with no flavor. You would think a steakhouse would know something about cooking a steak. The other two times the food was ok but that's about it. I showed the manager over 1/2 the steak that I just could not eat and she said she would take it off the bill. After receiving the ticket, she only took off $13. So if you are planning on going there I would recommend something other than the steak. I heard Pittsburg is going to be opening up a steakhouse so hopefully soon. read more

My family and I were so very excited to try this steakhouse Mount Pleasant. Mount Pleasant does not have a steakhouse, we are so overjoyed that we finally have one. The interior is very tastefully decorated, with southwestern accents. The reviews on this steak house are great, so we were very excited! My husband and I got the 10oz filets, with the creamy corn esquites, rice pilaf, and added the buttery chimichurri as a side dip. Our food came out in timely fashion. Sadly though, the steaks were not very tender, and quite charred on the outside. The creamy corn was good, and the other sides were good as well, but the star of the show should've been the filet, especially for the $42 price tag it carried. The steaks had zero juice, were quite dry. My husband and I both ordered them medium, not medium well, even though they tasted as if they were well done. I have had other filets, and they have been extremely tender and juicy. Filets are usually the cut of steak that is the most tender. These fell short of the norm. I do not recommend. I was hoping to write a stellar review, but this visit here was the one and only for us. read more
