From the moment I walked in to see the glowing aesthetic of the front (and the wonderfully kind and efficient front desk person-extra points for her name being Jessica as well) Absolutely chic & glamour-above and beyond what you expect in an eye doctor's office. Gabrielle took me back and was so kind and knowledgeable (I believe she was the technician). She was quick and easy-going! Then I went in with Dr. Ali, and my oh my was she just wonderful! She was thorough, took her time and honestly was just a joy to talk to. Then I went out to the optical to pick out some new frames (Lord knows I needed them, mine were probably from the 90's LOL). Naz was just fantastic!!! He was honest about what didn't look good and what looked great! I really appreciated that, as I could tell it was more than just a sale, it was a passion. This year for my annual exam I had to find a new doctor, due a change in insurance carriers. For me this always takes awhile as I like to read about offices & doctors, etc. Anyway, I liked that this office had so many positive reviews and I tend to favor female practitioners (no offense, guys, I have had great male doctors also!). I am so glad I decided to give Dr. Ali a try, even though it is a bit of a drive for me (but it is a very scenic drive!). She is excellent! Very thorough, personable and takes time to explain everything. 10 stars : ) Her staff is also wonderful, informative and helpful. Prices I guess are somewhere in the middle. Not the cheapest, not crazy expensive. They are able to offer some rebates when you buy a year's supply of contacts, so that helps. I wasn't shopping for glasses on this visit, but what I happened to notice looked pretty good - and included some with the more "vintage modern" shapes. All in all a great practice! Well, let's start by summing up my appointment by saying, in a word...Awesome! I was able to be seen on short notice, which may not be the common practice, but it was greatly appreciated. Everyone was friendly, professional and informative...especially Doc Ali! She took her time with me, making sure she had a right understanding of my medical history and previous eye care. Though she had new technology (which meant that I didn't have to have those nasty dilation drops nor those awful air puffs...YAY!), she still double checked her computer's work by doing a thorough visual exam. She was gracious enough to lend me more of her time in helping me pick out some great frames as she walked me out of the examination area and even helped me chose the best lenses to protect my eyes. Dr. Shazeen Ali, Naz and the team at Ranch Road Vision Source are truly the best of the best. I am the type of consumer that does their due diligence, almost obsessively, and time and again RRVS comes through for me. Dr. Shazeen is very thorough and patient throughout the exam and Naz and the team delivers exceptional customer service. I recently had an exam to update my spectacle lenses for existing frames. On Wednesday, 2/20 they shipped my existing frames to the lab that makes the lenses. Turn-around time is typically three business days, which means I would be wearing contacts until Monday, 2/25. I asked them if it would be possible to expedite. Today is Friday, 2/22 and my frames with the new lenses have been delivered! I saw Dr. Ali recently. She was concerned about the advancement of cataracts in my eyes (I'm 65) and encouraged me to see a specialist about the problem. I listened politely but thought there was no hurry. A few weeks later, I reconsidered and went to the specialist, whose advanced testing revealed another problem, swelling in the retina of my right eye. I was referred immediately to Austin Retina Associates, who diagnosed me with Wet Macular Degeneration. Treatment started immediately, and I look forward to having my eyesight improved. Lessons: 1) Dr. Ali is the real deal, and takes the time to assess her patient's eyesight. 2) Listen and heed advice immediately! In my case, waiting threatened to permanently damage the sight in one eye! Kudos to Dr. Ali for her competent exam and frank advice. read more

I went to Vision Source for my first optometrist appointment since probably I was a child. After many years of being in front of a computer screen at work my eyes have unfortunately deteriorated and I was constantly getting headaches from screen exposure. I was down in the Austin area for only a short time. I needed to get my eyes checked bad, considering I live about 6 hours away. I had called and asked if I would be able to get seen. They told me that wouldn't be a problem. They are very friendly and respectful. That to me is everything!
