NEVER RECOMMEND THIS UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS!!!! They put multiple scratches on my car and refused to admit they did it, saying they have video evidence of the towing. And guess what, they didn't show me the evidence. What's the point of the video then? Not just that, they asked me to pay $175 to get my towed car back when the MA state regulations say to only charge a fixed rate of $143. I had to negotiate with them to bring down the price. NEVER TRUST THEM- they could easily fool you if you're not careful.I'm sick of this predatory towing. Their customer service is absolute worst. We can't say enough about Ramsay towing. We broke down 400 miles from home. Dakota came and towed truck to their shop and took us back to the campground we were staying in. He was very professional and caring. We decided to have Ramsay towing to tow our truck home since it's probably a blown engine or head gaskets. Nick the owner set everything up with aaa... and would touch base with me to keep us updated. I didn't even have to call aaa and 2 days later our truck is home. This family run business is amazing and what turned out to be a nightmare trip turned into bringing a smile to our face knowing that their are still great warm people out there willing to help. UPDATE June 2014.... Woke up this morning and THE SAME THING HAPPENED (as below). I was blocked in by a car and I called Ramsey's to get it towed so that I was not late for work. Again, they said "it would take a while" and I should just call the police, have them find out with apartment it is so that I can go ask them to move there car. First of all, I do not feel safe knocking on someones door at 5am and asking them to move. I would call a different tow company, but Ramsey's has a contract with the apartment complex I live in, Windsor Village, and I cant use another company. Basically I had to go into work late for the second time in 4 months with the excuse that my car was blocked. That is not acceptable, not to mention, I get stuck in a ton of traffic. Not to mention, if they have a contract with my apartment complex to tow cars, shouldn't they tow cars at night that are parked illegally, which this person was. Dont they want to make money? And even if its not about the money, don't they want to make the place where they have a contract happy? Clearly, they do not car or take pride in there business. Which should be helping people when someone is blocking them so they cannot move there car. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY and wish I could use another. Towed for violating a 15 minute parking zone at 11:25pm. Turns out tow shop was less than a mile away. Showed up at 12:00 (35 minutes later). Charged $175, of which $35 was for "storage" and )$32 was for taking "over 1 hour to complete". How is that "over 1 hour to complete" if it's 15 minute parking? Is this really complying with MA towing fee regulation? I find it hard to believe that it is. While I understand the importance of towing services, there is definitely something wrong here. read more

This is the best towing company in the area. I own a snowplowing service in the next town over and my salt truck broke down in the middle of one of my parking lots and wouldn't even move. I called 4 other tow companies and this is the only one that said they would tow it. They run a plow service also and they even helped me out by salting my parking lots. When the new luxury sports car I was driving decided it would not drive home under it's own power, Ramsay's came to the rescue. The driver came at exactly the time he called out when we spoke, and he made sure to use wood at the bottom of the ramp to ensure that the carbon fiber lip would not be damaged when it was put onto the truck. Terrible ethics and shady business practices. They charge $175 for a 1/2 mile involuntary tow. Tows under 5 miles are not supposed to have additional mileage fees in MA. They also say that their credit card machine is "broken" and try to demand cash only. On top of that they strongly resist providing any kind of documentation or proof that a car was illegally parked. Awful experience! I received terrible customer service from two of their male employees and very rude comments that offended me as a female. I live at an apartment community nearby, which they love to circle around and tow any chance they get. The first time I was towed, I was told $150 if I pay in cash. This time, I was told it was $175. Not only do I live .3 miles away, but I was towed from a parking lot on the property that I pay rent to live in! For that short of a distance, $175 is way too much! When I brought up the difference in price the response was "we don't keep track of past tow's and are unable to look up what you paid in the past" and asked for me to show my own proof. Between the rude comments and inconsistent charges, this was a very frustrating start to my morning and very sketchy business! I ran out to my car being towed and the driver just floored it to get away despite me being present. These guys work very quickly when towing to avoid the owner coming back and to make some quick pocket money. The guy demanded 175 in cash only while tow companies are required to allow credit also. Terrible customer service, truck driver was rude and pushy when it came to payment. I understand why my car was being towed, but the manner it was towed and how the worker handled it was terrible. Ramsay's Towing is ready to help a person out! I had my car totaled a while back, and was struggling to sell it. The owners of the parking lot that I stored it at got really angry that I still haven't moved it (it was a sore sight for their eyes, apparently) and told me that I have 2 days to move it or else. After a day of checking my options, I started calling towing companies. Ramsay's offered the best deal to get my car from Waltham to Framingham. But after I asked about pricing, they asked me why do I have to move my car. I explained the situation, and Ramsay's offered to help me out big time and store it at THEIR parking lot for FREE for a day or two. And if I find someone to sell it to - great, no problem. I did find someone to sell it to in those days, and the guys at Ramsay's Towing held to their deal - I owed them nothing. They were very nice and open about everything, and ready to help out in every possible way. Not to mention - they have better rates than anyone around. Of one thing I am absolutely sure, one of their tow truck drivers is either unethical, a liar, incompetent, or a combination of all three. I had a valid parking permit on my dash, perfectly visible and filled out correctly last night at Windsor Village in Waltham. When I woke up my car was gone. When I got to the lot the gentleman I spoke too tried to tell me that "we just don't open your car and take things out". Well, where was my permit then? It didn't walk off my it's own accord.
