I found the management and support staff to be very kind and friendly. My car had been towed and they were very helpful in coordinating my pick up of the vehicle. read more

Had my car in their shop for over two months and failed to fix it properly. Took the car to another mechanic and he wouldn't even touch it and said he was "shocked that they let me drive my car away from their shop in the shape it was in" This is all after they billed my insurance thousands of dollars. Avoid at all costs. If you have the misfortune of being towed to their shop just pay the town release and go to a better shop. read more

I had a horrible experience with Pilgrim Auto Body. The man who helped me with my towed car (in Dec 2020, for reference) did not wear a mask despite being inside the office with me. Moreso, when I initially called to see if my car was towed through them, they told me it was not. I later confirmed with the police that they did indeed have my car. Their prices are extremely high, especially considering the daily rate of $35/day when I was not notified at all that my car had been towed (despite claims that I was). I do not recommend the city of Waltham continue to give Pilgrim business and I will be sure to note this with the city as well. read more

OK, the police did insist on towing there after an accident. And it did take a long time to be finished -- But the work was really well done. You couldn't tell it had been in a wreck, including the matching paint, which is NOT easy to do. Nice people as well. read more

If I could give this shop a Zero Stars I would. They complete advantage of the fees that they charged. I asked them about the fee's just to understand and the Owner was put on the phone asked me who the F* I am, stated I was an a$$ hole and said he's going to treat me like one. I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE REAGARDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! read more

Everyone at the shop is super friendly and very professional not to mention the prices are fair especially with the economy so bad. My car door looks like it was never hit and I got my car back in a timely manner. I am so happy and they even vacuum the inside of my car which is not easy because Me and my kids hair is very long and it sheds so thank you so much for that too! I will be a returning customer and for those people who had a bad experience maybe It was just not your day ! Nobodies perfect and I've been to this shop a dozen of times and never had a bad experience. read more

My only experience with them was when my car got wrecked and they towed it. The girl who works the office came down on a Saturday to open up the yard so I could clean out my car (I was pretty sure it was going to be totaled). I had to leave the plates on it, so after it was totaled, they took the plates off for me so I didn't have to race over there to pick them up... and they were thoughtful enough to save the license plate frame with the rear plate - I'd forgotten to ask them about it. So they treated me nicely. read more

Excellent experience! The quality and professionalism are outstanding! My car received extensive damage to the front drivers side resulting in over $7, 000.00 damage. Not only was the car fixed, it was also detailed! Highly recommended! read more

Went here because it was recommended to me by a friend and never coming back. My neighbor back into my car so I didn't think it would take a month to fix it. My car was involved in an accident a few months back where there was MORE damage and it only took 2 and a half weeks. I should have went back there. But this location was convenient for me. So long story short, they kept on telling me, yes it should be done next week. And then, yes it will be done Wednesday. Then, actually tomorrow morning, which is today. They open at 7am, 8am and I'm standing outside and the door is locked. When I finally get inside, I tell them I'm picking up my car and guess who's car is still not ready... I guess they are putting it together today and getting it aligned. Why couldn't she tell me this on the phone? I told her I get out of work at 4pm and that's when they close. She told me I can still pick up my car after hours. I'll see if that holds true... Update: My car is still at the shop and now they're blaming my insurance company because they didn't pay them in time. Still don't have an update to when my car will be done. read more

Pilgrim did a fantastic job repairing significant front-end damage. He even offered to touch up other scratches for no charge, since he had the correct paint mixed. The only negative was they promised overly optimistic dates, and then had to postpone a couple of times, which caused me some problems with the replacement rental car. I suggest the "Disneyland" approach: overestimate the time to cover realistic possible delays, then happily deliver ahead of schedule. read more

This is the first review I'm ever writing because this place is garbage. People there are the WORST. Customer service is the WORST. Prices are the WORST. Not even worth my time writing a review on this place. read more

worst car garage experience ever. I got into an accident 2 days ago on a busy street during rush hour. When the police arrived, they told me they were going to have the car towed. I told them I had triple A and they said they couldn't wait for triple A because of the traffic. Pilgrim Autobody towed my car back to their garage. The next day I got an estimate for my car from them. They told me it would be 10.5k to fix when the car wasn't worth that much. They also said they would give me 1k to take it off my hands. I asked them how much they charged for keeping my car there and they told me $35 a day unless I had them fix it, in which case they would waive those fees. 2 days after my accident I came by to have my car towed to another autobody with better rates. I had to be all paid up with Pilgrim before triple A would tow it. When I asked how much the bill was they told me $438. I knew this place was shady after they gave me the estimates and I knew arguing with them wasn't going to get me anywhere so I proceeded to pay the bill with a credit card. Their credit card machine was conveniently out of order and they forced me to go to the end of the block to withdraw cash to pay this bill. At this point I started to shake with anger. The owner, Nick Martorilli, told me to "just pay in cash". I told him I didn't have cash and that I didn't want to take out a cash advance on my credit card as he suggested. He noticed that I was getting angry at this point and his broken credit card machine wasn't my problem and I wasn't going to be able to leave the garage with my car until this bill was paid. He started getting mouthy with me, called me a wise guy, and to say the least, was very unhelpful in this situation. I went to an ATM to get the cash, only so that I could get my car out of there ASAP. I had called triple A to pick my car up at the garage but when the tow company called Pilgrim, they told them that I hadn't paid my bill so they cancelled the order while I had been waiting 45 minutes for the truck to arrive. I called triple A again who gave me some trouble about whether or not I paid the bill and I told them I had the receipt in my pocket and that the car was no longer on Pilgrim's premises. They finally showed up and I had my car towed to another auto body. I don't know how this place is still in business. I do know that there were 2 pictures of police officers on the wall in the office. The owner, Nick, may have been an officer at one time or is related or friends, etc, either way, the Waltham police and Pilgrim Autobody are working together. I have no idea how they're in business unless they're actually getting any suckers to pay their absurd prices/rates. I will be calling the Better Business Burea and Attorney General on this shop as they are the scum of all auto body shops. Do yourself a favor and request that any other tow company take your car if you're ever in the same situation. read more

My car was in an accident in Waltham. The police called Pilgrim to tow the car. Jimmy called me several times to inform me the status, and explained how much the damage the car had. Worked patiently with my insurance for a car eventually was totaled, and even offered to take off my license plates for me to pick up at my convenience. Very nice, and honest people, willing to go extra miles to help. Thanks Jimmy ! read more

This is a very crooked business. They overcharged me for towing, and then to cover their tracks, they wouldn't accept credit card or personal check. They claimed that their credit card machine wasn't working, but that's obviously a lie. The guy who I spoke with was extremely rude to me. They treated me like dirt. When I picked up my car, the guy was obviously drunk. His speech was slurred, and he smelled like liquor. He looked like he just came from watching a Red Sox game at the local bar. I will file a complaint both with Waltham City Hall and with the MA Department of Transportation Oversight. read more

Very professional and Knowlegable business owers......Pilgrim Auto Body in Waltham is the best. My son was invlolved in an auto accident recently (which was not his fault) and the girl in the office Kristen who takes care of everything from soup to nuts was helpful, knowledgeable and very compassionate to my son during the ordeal of dealing with the insurance company for storage fees and the releasing of his car. The insurance company did nothing but dick us and them around and stall payment but in the mean time daily storage fees were adding up on my end. Kristen and Nick worked with us to resolve it. They were very patient and treated us with kindness and dignity unlike the insurance company. Nick also showed us a used vehicle he had on his property that had some issues and asked us if we were interested in it for our son. After looking at it and comming to an agreement we shook hands and Nick went ahead and completed all the work necessary in a very timely manner and at NO up front costs to us. Not even a security deposit was needed just a hand shake.....who does that anymore? He took care of everything and more as promised. Kristen also took the time out of her busy day to go to the RMV to take care of all the necessary paperwork including the title filing. Nobody does that anymore without a fee and payment up front. It's now been a couple of weeks and my son is the proud owner of a 2001 Honda Accord Coupe and couldn't be happier. The car looks and runs terrific. Nick, Kristen and everyone at Pilgrim Auto THANK YOU for going above and beyond. Looking forward to continued business. Greg, Liz and Ian Sullivan Newton, Ma read more

My car was involved in an accident a short time ago. If I remember the secretary names is Kristin. She was very kind and helpful to. The Insurance Co. totaled my car so I had to clean my car out and take my plates. I didn't bring any tools with me and needed bags for my stuff. She gave some boxes and even took the plates off for me. When I was inside their shop I noticed quit a few high end vehicles that were being worked on. She showed me a Lexus that they just finished working on and you can't even tell it was in an accident. I would recommend people to use them. Like I said they were very helpful and sincere. read more
