What an amazing place to eat at! I was looking for some good ole southern food and I found it. The service was fantastic the ladies were so friendly 10 out of 10. There's no where to eat indoors but there is a cute little porch to eat on with umbrellas for shade which my daughter and I loved. I had the Tuesday special which was chicken and dressing my favorite with macaroni (so good) and turnip greens which were the best I've ever had. My daughter got wings and fish I tried both wings were good but the fish was incredible highly recommend. Don't skip dessert we got the red velvet cheesecake again the best I've had. Alright...this is my new favorite local restaurant! Is the facility five star? No...you eat it on the porch outside, or take it home. What the do have outside is nice if the weather is right, though. However, is the food five star? ABSOLUTELY for their food genre! I ordered a sampling for the family. Catfish, chicken, wings, Black Eyed Peas, Deviled Eggs, Pound Cake, Street Corn, Passion Tea. It was ALL really good. Cooked fresh. The fish was prepared correctly and didn't have that common aftertaste. The texture was great. Chicken...better than most. The sides were all PHENOMENAL and flavorful. My son inhaled the Philly and was after the wings next. Another favorite to mention is the Passion Tea. It is unique and good! You'll either like that or you won't. A family of five supports that 80% will love it. May favorite of it all if I were ordering for myself is Catfish and Bourbon Street Corn. Why five stars? I've let this place slide TOO many times from the ketchup tasting hot sauce, cold food, to the random closures every other week TODAY WAS THE LAST TIME. I got an all veggie plate and decided to try their Cajun ranch fries. Unfortunately, I did not like the fries at all and returned in hopes of replacing my fry for a drink or something similar in price (I should've asked for a refund instead) and to my surprise the lady basically tells me that it doesn't work like that..... so basically I'm just supposed to throw my money down the drain on something I can't even eat. The ranch was like water and 95% of the fries were already soggy, my pregnant self was so disappointed :( I've never had a business not want to replace something that I didn't like or just give a refund. I'm always a nice person so her having an attitude about the situation was very unprofessional and off putting. I know no one cares, but me and my family will never be back. Stay Blessed read more

This is about the new location on Pepper Road. Tonight was the soft opening, and if service and food is this good for a soft opening, then WOW! Watch out! They did a fantastic job with the seating, I think everyone who booked the 6 PM seating showed up and left happy. I had heard the pork chop was the way to go, and glad I got it. I'm pretty sure this was the best pork chop I have ever had. Sorry wife. Sorry me. Mac & Cheese- great. Fried Okra - really great. Bonus dessert - YES!!!! I'll have that. I've been eyeing this place for months now. It took me a bit to figure out the name of it because of the fancy script on the sign. Every time I went by there was a line of cars! So, I decided to try it out. I drove up to the window and had absolutely no idea what I wanted to order. The super nice guy at the window was no help either when he said that everything was amazing. :) I ended up going plain jane ordering fried chicken fingers with fries. Oh dear lord! The chicken was cooked perfectly, there wasn't a lot of breading which I like; just perfectly cooked, juicy, delicious chicken fingers. The fries were fries, nothing really special. I also ordered the Cowboy Egg roll (I don't remember if that's the name of it or not). Now THAT was a thing of beauty and surprise. I don't know exactly what I was expecting. What i got was BBQ pork wrapped in a deliciously crispy, egg roll wrapper? It was topped with a vinegar sauce (kind of like a carolina mustard sauce). Stopped in to Ramona Js on the way back north to West Virginia to try out a local place. Food was amazing and hospitality even better! After ordering burgers and regretting not ordering the fried catfish, were even given a sample by the extremely generous owners. Melt in your mouth phenomenal! Highly recommend driving off of 65 to try this local place out! If it's to hot they have a drive through as well! read more

Oh man, are you kidding me?! Ramona J's knocked it out of the park. We stopped here after church with some friends and were blown away by the food. Absolutely excellent all around. My wife and I got some wings (half bbq, the other half spicy)- just right, as they should be. We split the double cajun burger- the one that came with a set of gloves because of how messy the burger is, haha. Absolutely phenomenal. Our friends said the same thing about their food too- caribbean jerk burger was excellent, we heard. So make it a point to come here- you won't be disappointed! read more

Found this neat spot on the way down to New Orleans from Indiana. We were looking for a quick stop with outdoor seating, and this did the trick! You can either drive thru or park and order at the patio. They have daily specials that come with two sides, and burgers, chicken, and fish with fries. My husband got the catfish sandwich and said it was good. My son who is the pickiest eater on earth wanted something like honey bbq wings, and they told us the mild wings might be similar. They weren't really, but I liked the mild sauce with the honey mustard dip I'd gotten for my own chicken tenders, so we traded. We honestly ended up with too many fries between our three orders, and should have asked for a different side to try, but we'll know for next time! I did get an order of candied bacon deviled eggs (off the dessert menu!) to try. The bacon on top was good, but the deviled eggs themselves needed more flavor, for my taste. Drinks were bottled, and service was nice! Will definitely stop here again and try the daily special with sides next time. read more

I visited the Hwy 31 location on 11/5/2021 around 5 pm. I order the fish and chicken plate. I understand that I had to wait for my meal to be made fresh. When I got home my chicken wasn't correct but still tasty. My biggest criticism is the employees don't have a sense of urgentcy. The young lady who brought my order to me appeared to be out for a sunday stroll rather than serving an order. This not the place to go if you are in a hurry! read more

Heading to Florida from St Louis and we decided to stop for dinner at Ramona J's after looking at restaurants close to the highway. It was off the main stretch, but we'll worth the extra 1/2 mile. It was amazing! The Double Cajun Ranch Burger was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. We also got the Cajun Ranch wings (so good!), tenders, and the blacken chicken ranch wrap and loved them all. We wish we would have had room for the Cajun corn on the Cobb. Everything looked as good as our food tasted. We can't recommend them enough!!! read more

We have gone to the one on pepper rd twice. The first time we came in the waitress was nice then we called today. The lady was extremely rude. My husband has her on speaker phone and he told her mediun rare but I think it was a slip of the tongue and not that she actually wrote it down as medium well but she said medium well,my husband who is a friggin teddy bear goes "Im sorry ,for the burger I said med rare." Very rudely she goes "that is what I said." He goes oh well you might have it written down correctly i just wanted to double check. Dead silence so she ask for names a few seconds later and goes itll be ready in x amount of time. Hubby states "awesome thank you" and she hangs up! Wth she better be glad it wasnt me she was talking to because i am the petty ass of us two.
