Update: We have been going to this restaurant for years, but the quality has gone down recently. I ordered wings and they were extremely dry and overcooked. I talked to the manager and showed him. He was very nice and offered to give me a new order. The second order was just as dry and overcooked. On another note, the floor was so sticky that I had to wash my shoes when I got home. The restaurant seems to be staffed solely by teenagers. I think this restaurant would greatly benefit from some adult supervision. read more

We were very happy with our meals today! We called in our order to be picked up and brought home. Took around 10-15 minutes until pick up wishing was perfect timing. Think of Five Guys meets Steak and Shake. The burgers are identical to Five Guys while the fries are similar to Steak and Shake's, but these are homemade and fresh. You can get any toppings on your burger of choice for no extra charge. The Little burgers are a single patty, regular burgers are double, and the triple burgers are three patties. The burger patties themselves are crispy on the outside (good griddle work) and juicy on the inside. They are around 1/4 of an inch thick. The buns are steamed and soft. The ingredient list is a great addition. Today I tried the grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, and BBQ sauce on a Bacon Cheeseburger and it was outstanding!! The bacon was plentiful and crispy. The BBQ sauce was just sweet enough, not to much and not too little. Grilled onions was sweet, and almost caramelized. Also, the grilled jalapeños were great and had a nice heat to them! The fries were thin and crispy, definitely could tell they were homemade and not just out of the bag. They were thicker than Steak and Shake, but thinner than MCDonalds. It was a great in between fry! Check this place out if you are in the area, call in a to-go order, or dine in. They have great specials during the week that I noticed. Visited for lunch on 06/19/2020. Restaurant is absolutely filthy. Everything from dead bugs in the windowsill to sticky on just about every surface you see and or touched. It's one thing to be a little unkept at lunch but this place is down right filthy. It's gross, disgusting. Price. IMO it is over priced by at least 30%. You will absolutely get the same type food that's a little better for a cheaper price if you go to Sonic or Dairy Queen. That's pretty much what the food is like. Except both DQ and Sonic have larger burgers. 2 cheeseburgers, 1 fry, 1 onion rings, 2 drinks, and 1 kids meal was 26 dollars. Service. Mmmmmmm. Well, it was slow. We were the only game in the joint and it was prime time high noon and it took exactly 23 minutes from receipt print to counter. If I could put zero stars I would. This place is dirty and service is terrible. I did not see anyone using gloves which is atrocious. Under the table looked like they had not been swept in over a week. The food wasn't even good. I ended up throwing away my food and cooking when I got home. At least I knew I wouldn't get sick from eating hone cooked food. Rather than food cooked by a bunch of teenagers. Is there even management there? All the employees were just hanging out and joking around. I feel that they were more concerned about their own shits a giggle (excuse my language) than actually working. We will not go back. Normally we love this restaurant but today was terrible. French fries were cold. Worst chicken fingers I've ever tried, I couldn't even stomach them, they went straight to the garbage. Solid food choices. Great for call in pickups. It is a grate Go to place for a quick lunch in a friendly atmosphere. One of my favorite local spots. Normally the HS kids are working when I go at night. I enjoy talking football with them during football season. They have good burgers. They use Dales to cook them with but you can request them not too and it gives the burger a more home cooked taste. I like how when you order a side they give your moneys worth. This place is right down the street from where I live, so I stop on once in a while with my husband for a burger. There is always the same people working, and they're very nice and very quick with your order. The food is fairly good. It's definitely a better option that the nearby Jack's or McDonalds if you are looking for a burger. The way the menu is set up is similar to Five Guys. A regular hamburger is actually a double burger, and a "Little" burger is a single patty. There's nothing little about it, though. It's still very filling. The burgers tend to have that slightly crisp edge which I personally really like. The buns are just basic store bought hamburger buns. The fries are lightly seasoned. We've also had the fried cheese sticks which were very good. They're battered instead of breaded. Yum! Overall, we've never had a bad experience here. If you are looking for somewhere quick nearby that isn't the same old chain fast food restaurant, definitely give them a try! read more

Bad: 1. The grill had not been cleaned from the previous day upon opening, and thus the tiny restaurant smelled like a dirty grease pit, as did we by the time we left. If this was left unattended, what else was? Well, we observed a cook grabbing bare handed, raw chicken wings from an open vat sitting next to the deep fryer; very unsanitary. 2. The floors and table tops were very dirty. 3. The food was just plain bad. All members of our party had hamburgers which were a) paper thin patties, and b) overcooked to the point of being ruined. The french fries were the tiniest ever. Not sure if that is a thing with them, but regardless they were too small to eat by hand, requiring a fork to do so. I ordered the "jerk fries" and they were vile! Again, the tiny fries with some sort of foul seasoning dumped on top of the fries in a single pile. They put some much seasoning on the fries, they managed to get it on the burger too. 4. Food poisoning. My wife was ill the remainder of the day into the following day after consuming her meal from Johnny Gryll's. 5. Whether associated or not, the ice cream place next door with the interior pass-though entrance, appears no better. Old looking ice cream with very odd names, but most importantly no one staffing the counter. We LOVE Johnny Gryll's! The food is delicious and the ice cream is a huge bonus. Service had always been nice. The only negative would be that the portions always seem smaller when we order it to-go, compared to eating in. Johnny Gryll's is what you get when you add a somewhat limited hot wing selection to a Five Guys clone. The location in Harvest is recently opened and suffering some early execution issues. The service is friendly enough, but slow. Contributing factor is the lack of a menu hanging on the wall but rather a single-sheet menu that can only be read from the front of the line. So every person has to spend time at the counter trying to figure out his/her order which could have been done while waiting in line - fixable. Employee empowerment to implement creative solutions to customer problems needs improvement, as exposed by the following conversation I had with the counter guy when I tried to order a grilled cheese sandwich for one of the children in our group (admittedly not on the menu): Me: I'd like a grilled cheese sandwich Counter guy: It's not on the menu Me: Well can't you make one Counter guy: Let me ask (walks back to guy at grill who says no - walks back). No. Me: Ok, how about a "Grylled" cheese sandwich... Counter guy: I don't have any way to ring it up Me: Dude you have cheese on the menu. Just ring up a piece of cheese and throw in a piece of bread as a courtesy because this is my first time here and I might potentially come back some day Counter guy: Well I might be able to give you one of the bun bottoms that we're going to throw away, but we can't put it on the grill for you Me: Fine (accepts bottom bun and cold piece of cheese for child) The solution was ultimately acceptable but certainly not optimal and way more hassle than it should have been. To their credit I asked for them to split a three-piece chicken finger meal into three separate baskets for the kids and they accommodated that request well. Food quality is reasonable not exceptional. As other reviewers have noted they are connected to a Kaleidoscoops ice cream which is a plus. Also, they implement the Five Guys pricing model on burgers - a "little burger" is actually a burger and a "burger" is actually a double - so be aware of that. On the whole I'll probably return but probably not turn into a regular. read more
