This is the best company we have ever worked with. Greg the owner returned the initial call within a half hour. I had called 6 total and some never returned the call. Greg set an appointment to come out for a quote to retile our pool. He pointed out things we had not thought of. We picked our tile and he gave us a start date. They started on the date given. Jesse, Greg's son would be doing the job with his crew. They gave us a timeframe of 5 days and finished in 4 days. They left everything immaculate each day. There was never a mess left anywhere. We had custom cuts to add to the tile and they did an outstanding job. They were super nice guys and happy despite working in over 100 degrees. Would definitely recommend this company. read more

I called nearly 15 pool companies for quotes to retile and replaster my pool. Well, only half called back, half of that showed up. Rammell price was in the middle of the other quotes. Juan, their sales person, was 10 minutes early, called 30 before the scheduled appointment. They showed up August 18th on time, as promised, to Jackhammer the old tile and plaster. After they removed all the debris, they cleaned up every square inch of their work space, even hose down the pool deck. August 21st they arrived on time to retile the pool. I've never seen a worker lay down tile so fast, and so precisely. I even went in the pool and check his work as he was moving along. Today, August 23rd they showed up to replaster my pool with Pebble Tec finish. Five Guys showed up, laid down plastic to protect my pool deck. The guys were incredibly efficient, nice and cared about their work. I asked a friend who had his redone three years ago, he said not to use the company he used. I won't mention their name. He said that they were screaming constantly, the music was blaring from 7 in the morning till 1 in the afternoon. I had none of that! I can't say enough how professional the crew of Rammell construction was. Claudia, in the office, was very helpful as far as what color to plaster my pool, what size tile to go with and to use mini pebble, not the larger pebble-size. 18 months ago Ramell built our new pool. We are recent transplants from the mid west and have never built or owned a pool before. We decided to have the deep end of our pool lowered from 9 feet to 5 , replace all the title, and install pebble tech. Rammell provided a very competitive bid out of the three we received. However, our final decision was based on feedback from three other people who contracted with Rammell for pool work. We are so glad we chose them. They do what they say! Show up on time, complete the work professionally, take extra time to care for the surfaces in your yard as they move equipment in an end, and provide an incredible end result. We worked with Juan who provided some great suggestions. Claudia was there for us in the office answering any concerns with had. How does one go about sorting out all those pool builders/ remodelers and selecting the right one? Certainly one has to comparison shop and obtains bids from competitors while trying not to get "Paralysis by Analysis". The right contractor will inspire confidence and explain the good, bad and ugly. The builder should also be acknowledged in the business as experienced and reputable in addition to being bonded, licensed and insured. Previous customer satisfaction is a good sign that you can count on the company that you hire. Such was the case when interviewing Mr. Greg Rammell of Rammell Construction I found it astonishing when soliciting bids to have my pool refurbished with Gemstone the amount of companies that did not return calls or they would make an appointment and not show up. Mr. Rammell promptly returned my call even meeting me at my residence on the same day. He offered a detailed explanation of what to expect during the various stages of refurbishing the pool in addition to showing a palette containing the available colors and finishes. Extra time was spent to show my wife and me how the colors on the palette would look when wet describing how the hue of the reflected sky also contributes to the perceived color of water. I would receive frequent phone calls from Mr. Rammell himself or a representative keeping me fully informed throughout the entire process. At no time was there any "up sell" or inducement to purchase more expensive items, upgrades or other add-ons in an attempt to make a more profitable sale. In fact, during one portion of the remodel Mr. Rammell advised me to not purchase a new underwater light as long as the existing light was functioning properly. All crew members were very courteous and respectful to my property. Any mess, dirt, debris, trash etc. was cleaned at the end of each work day. I would also like to commend Juan who supervised the many crew members with respect and dignity and by the way...the entire crew showed up each day on time. And, the job was completed on time. All project details were enclosed in the contract; specifying the work, materials and equipment to be used that I as a lay person could easily understand. I wanted this project to by my "Staycation" spot. As for the expense I am sorry to disappoint any readers but I feel that is a personal matter between the client and contractor. What I will say about the cost is Mr. Rammell worked well within my budget and I thought the final expenditures were very fair and reasonable. The finished project was a dream comes true. In summation, I found Mr. Rammell to be a professional of high ethical character honest to a fault, experienced, knowledgeable, flexible and reliable. I cannot begin to rejoice how personally gratifying it was doing business with Mr. Rammell and his entire crew. read more

Rammell Pool Construction just completed my pool remodel which included the addition of a tanning shelf, Zanzabar pebble tech with a diamond pattern trim tile. Juan was communicative and completed the job in 2 1/2 weeks and on budget. His crew was great to work with, being attentive and courteous. We recently decided to have our pool refurbished with new plaster, tile and equipment. I initially contacted five pool companies to set up an appointment to come out and give me a quote. Out of the five only Rammell acted immediately and set up an appointment for the next day. One of the other pool companies called me five days later and the other three never returned my call. Due to their quick response and great communication I chose Rammell and am glad that I did. After interviewing several pool builders I selected Rammell to re-do my pool and spa, primarily based on my rapport with Mel Ezell and the very realistic proposal he provided. I met with Juan prior to job start, and he made excellent suggestions for a better final result. As the project moved forward, I was continually impressed with the promptness, skill, and professionalism of the workers. Each was pleasant and polite, and every day they made sure the area was neat and clean before leaving. Communication, work quality, and attitudes were always good. Juan and Mel were both on site regularly to check progress and insure my satisfaction. The job involved re-routing plumbing and electrical, and installing a full automation system. All of this was done to high standards. To me, it says a lot that Juan did not accept final payment until every detail had been taken care of and I was 100% satisfied. I hired them to rebuild my old swimming pool and they did a good job. But some cracks have shown up in the tile grout, water is now seeping behind the tile and I can't get them to respond. This is not good service. read more
