I called ClaroPool on Tuesday afternoon and after a very helpful telephone conversation with Chris Little (Maintenance Director) who offered to schedule a site visit the next day. Chris arrived exactly on time the next day and was able to quickly resolve our issue with the iAquaLink app. He also managed to change app settings to solve a challenge that previous pool technicians told us was not possible. In a time when "customer service" does not seem as good as in past years, I was greatly impressed with Chris and the ClaroPool company. We will certainly call them again when new maintenance and repair matters arise. I highly recommend ClaroPool.

An incredible breath of fresh air- to not just bill for a house call, and then try to sell me on some fake cure. TL;DR- He gave me the tools to potentially fix it my self - I need acid wash and plaster fixes - and he certainly will get my business for any future pool repair - the value of helping me for free wants me to give him ALL my business. Sergio has worked for me for 18 months. He then made another $5050 to reinstall an entire new system again after I agreed to pay him before Farmers even took care of the claim. Sergio hired a friend, Jaime an installer who had only done work ONLY inside gate guarded communities, I was the first install job where I was not secure in a gate guarded community. Sergio immediately questioned him knowing this was suspicious and when we started investigating, I shared all of the negative reviews from Yelp, and he said he never vetted him. They broke into my backyard, ruined my gates and professionally stole it and hauled it over the 5-foot block wall and out of my yard. I have 5-to-8-foot walls around my entire home, this was not easy to obtain access and certainly to remove with the weight going over the block walls. Sergio contacted the police department and placed a report since I was two hours away. My neighbor has been reviewing the camera footage to hopefully catch and convict, but the police department included nothing really happens criminally anymore! Sergio offered to cover my $1000 deductible, but when it came to the final payment, he didn't honor the commitment he provided me with in writing. In fact, after looking into the cost of the equipment he pocketed $5,000+ for both installations. I spent thousands on deductibles, new security and camera system for my yard, additional expenses to take time off of work, gas and all of the work with the added stress of feeling completely violated by allowing this to happen. To top it off his father has been cleaning my pool and we have had algae and mold of the tile which I have asked to be cleaned in multiple communications even when he was on his honeymoon. I just can't get over the lack of integrity, so I terminated him. In addition, when I asked for my other pump to be reinstalled (which was new) he told me he got rid of it. It was new and most likely sold!! He sent me a text message offering to pay the $1000 deductible but after demanding the full payment saying that I agreed to pay for the new system. This was a painful and expensive lesson be careful who you hire and who they bring onto your property as this has cost me sleepless nights and thousands of dollars!!!!

They destroyed plants breaking branches, lawn - pouring pool water on it (still can't grow back) and when the pump broke they said they'd maintain the water while we waited for repair. They not only didn't maintain it but I had to drain it 3 times in 2 months because they could even get the water balanced from scratch. They were also dishonest on occasion about repair and showing up. Nice people but not acceptable service. I caution anyone from working with these guys. It's expensive and the damage is even more expensive.

The last straw was an invoice for over $700 to do a minor repair. When I pushed back a little bit, I got an email from a VP at the company that basically said I should get the part myself. Our neighbor recommended a smaller company and we are SO much happier. The monthly cost went down by over 10%, our pool looks cleaner, and the minor repair was completed for $200. This company may be good for commercial customers, but there are much better options for homeowners.

Jaden from Pool Technicians came out today to look at two issues I was having with my pool: 1)…read more the lack of any pressure from the jets in the adjacent hot tub and 2) a salt cell chlorinator that was not working. I thought both were going to be major issues. I thought I needed an additional pump for the hot tub. And I thought the salt cell chlorinator would need at least a new motherboard, if not a complete replacement. Jaden did about 10 minutes of poking around and told me that 1) the pump issue was simply being caused by a rock that was jammed into one of the pumps, likely from the construction stage and 2) the salt cell was not receiving power because a previous (another company) technicians rewired it to a non-functional part of my panel. So, after an hour, I had fully functioning jets in the hot tub. A functional salt cell. And he even got my pool lights working. (I had never been able to use them and had given it up). So can't recommend this company and Jaden specifically any more highly.

Most of them said they had never seen such a system and would try to fix it, but it might require jackhammering up the concrete deck to install an entirely new lighting system. But then Pool Technicians sent out Jadon, who very calmly and confidently told me that he had done the switch from fiber optic to LED on several other pools, that it should be an easy job, but that if he did run into complications, we would discuss options before taking any action. He was right: the job was easy and fast: really just one morning, no fuss and no muss, and the pool was operational again after it was refilled the next day. In addition, dealing with Stephanie in the office, and Gilbert, who did some minor tile work while the pool was empty, was great. Everyone involved seemed very focused on doing the job well and making sure I was informed and happy, and the price was in line with other proposals. I can see why Pool Technicians gets such high customer ratings, and I'm to give them my well-deserved 5-stars, too. They will be my pool repair company going forward.
