($1,800) Well the worker shows up at 8:00 am and is done before by 9:30 am. I talked to the owner and expected a large reduction in my bill since it was smaller job than anticipated. I was told that he would knock off $200 if I paid him in cash which I did. Not sure how they sleep at night charging such ridiculous prices. The bill also mentions an emergency fee since we have rains coming. I never asked for an emergency trip. The website on home advisor states that they do not offer emergency services! I asked what I should cover it with incase they did not get to the repair right away. Never asked for an emergency repair. He tried to tell me about the cost of running a business and he has five trucks and employees to pay. Not my concern! Totally out of line price of a small repair. Very disappointed! That is not $1,600 worth of work for 1.5 hours. I feel I was charged at least double what I should have been charged.

I had 2 foundation specialists from 2 companies and they told me the causes and the cost of fixing them; causes are structual issues and cost are expensive. Part one of a two part foundation project Recently we had…read moreour house foundation repaired by Groundworks out of Fairfield. One bedroom had sunk by almost 5 inches as that part of the house had been built on fill. In order to restore the house to it's proper level numerous foundation jacks and floor leveling screw jacks were required. In addition some landscaping bushes and pvc sprinkler pipes had to temporarily removed. Groundworks had informed me prior to starting work what would be required to successfully complete this project and had my full approval. The house is now level, the doors no longer swing on their own and the interior cracks between the walls and ceiling joints no longer exist. Prior to the crew leaving the yard was cleaned up and the pvc pipes replaced. Best of all Groundworks will come back annually to the next 5 years and make any necessary adjustments. The Groundworks crew that made this happen was Andrew, the site supervisor, Charlie and Allen. Their performance and daily communication was superior on all levels. This is part 2. The Groundworks Poly crew of Anthony & Brian were very fast and efficient in completing their part of the foundation repair contract which was to level our family room slab floor. Fast, yes, but Anthony did take the time to not only explain what they were going to do but also walked me through the process as they were working. They had some splash guard to put on and so instead of doing it proper they cut my siding and left a piece of metal sticking out of it . They did fix that after I chewed them out again but it looks ugly . After the roof was on they didnt pass inspection because the vents were in the wrong places . I am happy with the end results of the roof and for getting a new roof but I have to wonder how long it will last . What pisses me off the most was being lied to about the loan .
