I cannot recommend this company enough. After my garage door crashed and was stuck open I called another company to come fix it. They pretty much told me it wasn't worth fixing. That my garage door needed approximately $1800 in repairs and I should buy a new door. My door is less that 10 years old and in great shape. I called Ramirez for a second opinion and they fixed my door for $475. There were no attempts to sell me extra stuff or get me to make unnecessary repairs. Plus they have an excellent warranty. I called over the weekend to have my garage door looked at because it was closing really hard onto the ground and litterally wakes up everyone inside the house and thought our springs may need to be looked at. Nathan, who came to our home, was very nice and knowledge able about how everything works with garage door. The reason wjy I thought he was very knowledgable was because he told me something that 3 other companies never knew the answer to in the 8 years we've own our home. Everyone has told us before that our garage door closed very heavily and Loud because we have a heavy garage door and Nathan is the only one who has said that our garage door was actually not aligned and that the motor needed to be adjusted. Now not even the person who install the motor knew about the alignment and how to adjust the motor to close the garage door Softly. We were always told that its because we have a wide door and that it is heavier. After about 45 minutes, our door now closes as if it is light as a feather and I thought for the longest time that this was never possible. You litterally can sleep through a garage door closing even if you were in the room above the garage. Great experience with Ramirez Overhead Doors! When calling in to make inquiries and set up appointments every interaction was a good experience. Shirley was very helpful every time I called in and gave a very warm and welcoming impression to the company. Rudy (the owner) came out last week and inspected my garage door and continued with the great customer service! My door was making a popping sound when opening/closing and a portion of the panels were coming apart from the bracket. Rudy recommended that we replace only the panels, which was much more cost effective than a total system replacement. It was refreshing to not have a company try to replace unnecessary pieces just to make more money for themselves. We own rental properties in the Vacaville area, and just as I was about to call a company listed on craigslist, my husband insisted that I call Ramirez Garage Doors to address our tenant's reported issue of the door opening by itself. I was ready to pay to install a completely new unit and said so off the bat, but instead, Mr. Ramirez suggested we try to reprogram the remotes first, and didn't charge me in case that didn't work!!! He arrived on-time, was knowledgeable and helpful for more than 20 minutes at the property plus didn't charge me!!?? I have had idiot repair people show up and charge $65+ just to give me an overpriced bid for crappy service...but never have I had such a wonderful experience FREE of charge! Fast forward till tonight when I got home, my door didn't close. Friday, after 6pm... going into New Year's weekend, and my garage door wouldn't close. We tried fixing it ourselves and only made it worse we couldn't even get our cars out of the garage. We called Ramirez overhead doors and they were phenomenal. (very unhappy) the day before service we were told to be home between 11:00am-12:00pm and someone would be there between that hour. "we were there waiting" they showed up as promised at 11:00am and called but did not come to door, we were not told to wait outside just to be at the house during that time. 11:30am comes by and we notice the missed call, we contact them and they say we left and we have to pay a extra fee for them to come back out. we feel this is unfair due to the fact that we did everything we were supposed to. My garage door opener broke over the weekend. I stopped by Ramirez Total Custom Garage's office on Saturday morning and within the hour a tech came by, gave me the estimate and because it was reasonably priced I had him order a new garage door opener. The tech couldn't repair my garage door on Saturday afternoon as he had several other appointments but came by Monday morning at 8 am and by 9:30 am the installation was complete. Service was great. The tech also gave me the option of replacing parts for my old garage door opener which was considerably less than the price of a new garage door opener but since my garage door opener was 15 years old I went with a new garage door opener. I really like the idea that the technician gave me some options which was to replace parts for the old garage door opener or replace the entire unit. No high pressure sales here-just honest to goodness friendly, fast service! read more
