WOW !!! We are so happy and glad that we called Nick from Quick Fix Garage Door. Our 35 year old garage door opener (see picture) stopped working :-). The price he offered me was a very fair and reasonable price compared to others. Nick came right away and the garage door was fixed in under an hour . This is a very honest and trust worthy business . This should be one of the top businesses for how quickly they can come out and service your garage , because I was in a pinch and needed my car out of the garage for work the next day. We had a broken tension spring on our garage door and our car was stuck in our garage at 8:30 this morning. We called Quick fix and he was at our house within 30 minutes. He was honest and knowledgeable but he looked at the part that was needed and said he couldn't didn't have it in stock and would have to order it and it would take 3 to 5 days to get it. Our car was stuck in the garage and there was no way we could wait that long so he kindly gave us the part number and told us that we might be able to get a bigger company to have it on their truck. Who does that? We found a company at a Sacramento because nobody locally had that spring and they fixed it for us, but we will always remember. The service was just enough to get your money. I would improve on the integrity. The initial contact person gave me a quote. I paid a deposit and that was it. The same sales rep called to up sale on an opener for an additional $950.00 to install. I found that offensive and then outrageous. The iinstallers were pleasant and helpful after finding out the rep did not properly instruct me on on what needed to be done pre-installation. The installation team helped me clear the area they needed to complete the install. I assumed that I was paying for new parts with my purchase. I however was charged for new everything. The installers used a previously purchased hinge I had laying in my garage and did not did not refund or deduct it from my bill. They also used the existing hardware. They did not update or replace any parts already installed. I was okay with them using and not replacing but I have a problem with being charged for things I already paid for. So I will never recommend or refer this company to anyone. read more

Went three multiple other garage door service providers threw my home warranty, they all either couldn't figure out the issue or said I needed to replace the whole system which would have cost me a ton of money. I even had one service provider lie to my home warranty and say it was excessive force so I would have to pay out of pocket for the service. True to their name, Quick Fix Garage Door of Newark had a Vacaville repair tech, Nader Ibrahim, who was at my home within an hour of placing the repair call! Better than that, he had my garage door repaired in 45 minutes. Nader was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and very thorough. He even took the time to replace a hinge. I know it says Livermore and the surrounding areas, but we live in Oakland and they have been quick to respond. I also saw them in San Bruno a couple days after they fixed my door (hey, look it's Nick and Nasser!) so Im not sure if they work out there too? I have a bizarro garage door and on their initial visit they replaced the motor (way, way up high) and had to get an industrial spring for it and they were able to get it all working. They were great and it was fixed quickly even though they needed a special part. More recently I called them because the last 2 days it's been stopping and going back up. I could not get it closed this morning. UGH! So frustrating. So, they totally fixed it, greased it up, and showed me how to work it manually (which I am sure he showed me the 1st time around, but I digress). I have a weird garage so it's not obvious. The fix was merely a tightening of the sensor and it was working fine. And the 5 start part? No charge for this visit? He claimed that the jiggly sensor could have been due to something that he did the last time that he was here so he didn't want to charge me, but we both know that's just not true ;) read more

Nick came on time as promised (to our home in Concord). He sized up the situation immediately and went to work. A cable had come off a pully so that only one side of the door was being lifted. He repair the problem within 20 minutes and before leaving, he lubricated all of the moving parts on the door including the hinges. The door now makes only half the noise that it did before he lubricated it. Nick was no nonsense and obviously very competent. He was very pleasant to deal with. This evening we were leaving around 5:30 p.m. and our double garage door would only go up about two feet and it stopped. We tried to raise the door manually but that did not work either.
