Massive (and I mean massive, pics don't do justice) portions, from ramen to chicken katsu curry, and really great quality food too. Great Hawaiian/Asian comfort food for very little money, everything ranges from about $8-$10, rarely ever breaking the $10 mark. Food is very flavorful, comes out of the kitchen piping hot, and of course, the gyoza happy hour from 2pm-5pm is king. You can have them prepared either steamed or deep fried. Chicken karage is really well marinated. Large portion of chicken served with 2 scoops of rice and 1 scoop of mac salad. Chicken katsu curry could feed a family of 4 easily. You'll definitely have leftovers for days. Staff are very friendly, super fast to seat you and bring out your orders. They are very accommodating if you need more sauces, water, or other items. This place isn't simply about large quantities at low prices, the food really is delicious, great quality, and the staff have genuine "aloha spirit." Will definitely visit again, and spread the word to friends and family. read more

Customer service is always amazing. The food is always tasty. I'd definitely recommend eating here.

I love every time I come here with my family. Affordable food, great quality, a great time! Biiiig portions too !! Always my go to place!

I've got good taste. And when I say it's salty it's probably salty. When I say bland, it's probably bland. By the way, salty and bland can be fixed very easily especially if it's my own cooking. But when I go out and eat, I expect the place to be perfect, perfect for my taste. I came here with friends; I ordered the big bowl ramen. It took forever for my order, which is not a big deal to me. When I got my order, I was so excited. Like other peeps, I take pics of my food before eating them. My order looked so good in pictures. I grabbed the spoon and started with the soup or the broth, it was bland. So I mixed it, stirred it thinking maybe it was just not mixed or something. Tried a big spoon of the broth again, it was bland. I feel sorry for my dollars, coz the ramen I ordered didn't worth a dime. The only good thing about my visit here was they had happy hour on dumplings. Their dumplings are great by the way, I loved it. Good customer service. I am not coming back here. read more

My first time stepping foot into Ramen Ya at Kapolei Commons. As I entered the establishment I was greeted right away by a female employee. I made myself comfortable at one of the available tables. There were nine tables that seat four individuals. There was counter seatings as well. Six individuals are able to sit at the counter in an 90° angle. People who sit at the counter are able to watch the cooks prepare the dishes. I noticed on each table there was the chopstick holder, napkin dispenser, and the condiments. The female employee handed me the menu and asked if I wanted anything to drink. Water for starters. I glanced at the menu and decided to order a wonton set. Basically it was a small bowl of wonton soup, 4 piece gyoza with 4 free gyozas, and another dish. I chose the chicken katsu curry on a bed of rice. Everything was delicious. I was also helped by a male employee who refilled my cup water. I had to ask him if the establishment takes credit cards. "We take all credit cards except American Express". That's good to know since I didn't have that much cash on hand. Overall my experience at Ramen Ya was outstanding. Friendly employees and clean establishment. The female employee says "See you next time." read more

Ramen-Ya - Me and my wife loveeeee eating here they're s service is amazing and they never disappoint my fav fav thing from here is the SPAM KATSU - Ramen Near Me - Kapolei, Hawaii

Food - Typical Daiichi style food (I still like Daiichi better) with ramen, gyoza, curry, etc. The food is good, nothing much to complain, but the broth isn't as tasty as Daiichi's. Broth is a little watered down, but some people might like that. Combo Set A ($8.95) includes: small ramen, gyoza, and your choice of side. Environment - Looks just like Kapolei Daiichi. Service is good, and hopefully they can keep it up. Bathroom - Located near the kitchen, smells funky, one unisex stall Location - having more businesses in Kapolei Commons is so much better than Kapolei Shopping Mall. Bigger intersection and roads. Parking - it's getting more crowded now that there's more traffic. During happy hour I was able to park right in front of the restaurant. read more

Ramenya has always been my go to when I'm with my friends and family. They are very nice and friendly and plus I can't forget their great food. Always love the katsu and mochiko chicken from here. I really want to recommend this because of its great vibe and good customer service. My love for Ramen-Ya had deepen when I started working at T-Mobile next door. They are nice to make my food fast since my lunch time is only limited. They make bomb food and I really love the staff here!!! YOU guys are the best! read more

First time eating here. If I ever come back to Hawaii, I will definitely come back to Ramen Ya. You get a great value at a great price. The service was fast. And the food was great. We paid just under $24 for the pork fried noodles and the combo A - mini ramen, Gyoza and spam katsu curry (you can choose a different entree) and two drinks. Convenient location if you are in Ko Olina area. We were visiting, but we are ramen addicts. Service: great service. We had a party of 10 and they broke up the table setting for us. Got there at 5pm. Wait was about 10 min. Food: pretty good. Our party ordered the combo A. So much food that it should be illegal. The ramen was good. The curry was good and chicken katsu was good. Kids also liked the fried rice. I had the tan tan ramen and it was great. The pork was done just right. Value: Tons of food and for a great value. The combo consisted of mini ramen, a huge side dish, and gyozas. Less than $12?! read more

My boyfriend and I decided to come here because the wait for Genki was too long, and we heard that this place was pretty good. We got there and the place was very busy, but we were seated right away. We loved a lot of things about Ramen-Ya. First, my boyfriend was excited about the combos. He got the won-ton soup and asked to add noodles to it, with no issues given by the waitress. He also got the chicken katsu curry and gyoza to go with his combo. I decided to eat the spam katsu plate. The wait for the food was not long at all, which was a good thing considering how hungry we were. The portions were big, and the prices were cheap! We loved our food, but we couldn't finish it! We knew we would be here again. read more

If you are craving ramen just buy instant noodles at a grocery store. Payed for ramen that my 5 year old daughter can make better.

Massive bowls! You will enjoy! You will leave full! Tip: Be sure to let the staff know if you are allergic to seafood! I dined here for dinner on 8/29/13. I must say that I am surprised by the appearance of the place. I like how the kitchen is partitioned off, but they leave a clear plexiglass window that allowed people to see the cook making the ramen. Very creative. But back to the food. I ordered the big bowl ramen. When it came out, I was surprised. It's huge. I would have to say it matches up size wise with the bowl at Shiro's. The first thing I tried was the soup. Because to me, the basis of all ramen is the soup, and it is what I judge all ramen by. The soup is of a miso base. Very strong, and on the salty side. Just the way I like it. It had a lot of vegetables in it too. Corn, bean sports, kelp, green onions, as well as hard boiled egg, pork, and chicken katsu. They even have a free gyoza deal from 2-5pm. Anyway, the ramen was very delicious and very filling. I will definitely be going back to try the other things on their menu. read more

Ramen-Ya - Huge portion of fried rice for $8.75. Good too!! - Ramen Near Me - Kapolei, Hawaii

The past couple of times we've eaten here the food either comes out cold or it takes awhile. Last night we went there to try one last time.. it is literally our last time. The food came out fairly quick, but ALL of our food had little to no flavor at all. We had ordered the several dishes of different types of ramen, miso soup, Kathy curry and fried rice and it all was very terrible. We were so cold from the weather and hungry and it was a disappointment! Even the waitress was shocked when we asked for the bill. She kept asking us if we wanted a take out box because we barely even touched our food. I gave them two stars for the gyoza, the only thing that tasted good. read more

Please read for reason of three star rating. First off, we come here very often and we always order the Combo A set. The food here is great and the prices are great. It's a clean area to eat in and the customer service is also great. Their ramens are filled with flavor and they also have chili oil and other sauces you can add to your ramen. I usually order that Combo A with chicken Katsu curry, with the curry on the side. I especially love coming here because their Sweetened Green Tea(Gold Peak Brand) for some reason, it tastes better than the bottled one that's sold in store. Their food and quality of their food deserve 5stars. However, this is why it's a 3 Star, I was gonna give a 1 Star but that's being harsh as this review is not for a bad review. We came here yesterday, after 2pm, which we also got free gyoza being that that's their special after 2pm. We placed our orders and was brought out gyoza, when our drinks came, the waiter whom was a male, split the drinks which split all over me, my shirt was soaked and so was my shorts and legs n slippers. I saw it coming, I could tell by the way he had hold the tray. I'm not a waitress, but I see how others serve drinks and they place the tray on the tip of the table as a balance so maybe that's something that waiter can do specifically; just a tip so it doesn't happen again. I initially got mad but quickly told myself what good is it gonna do me to get mad? I'm still gonna have a soaked shirt, soaked shorts. Being mad wont benefit anybody. The guy and the female both apologized to me and the lady moved us to a different table, gave me napkins to wipe myself up. I told her it's okay, it's not like it's gasoline. Good thing it was water and iced sweetened green tea. We still ended up paying the full price of our bill, normally places comp the meal when something like this happens. Just another tip, when something like this happens at least comp their meal to show apologetic rather than a verbal sorry that wasn't really from the waiter whom spelt the drink instead it came from the fellow co worker or the waiter. read more

My son and I come here often. The service is always great. We normally always order the combo A which comes with a mini ramen, gyoza, and your choice of a mini plate. Our party of 6 (3 adults and 3 children under 2) came for a late lunch around 2pm. The restaurant was half filled with patrons but lucky for us the large tables were vacant. We all ordered the combo dishes since it seemed like a great deal for less than $10. I had a small ramen, gyoza and a reasonable portion of chicken katsu curry. The curry was very tasty and the chicken katsu hit the spot for me. We came during the happy hour for free gyoza (2-5pm) so we got double the portion of gyoza. Love it! The ramen was a pretty standard ramen. It was good but nothing special. The combo is a great size for sharing. I shared my meal with my almost two year old daughter and sister. I definitely could NOT finish it on my own. The staff were very accommodating. They gave us high chairs, extra bowls and utensils. They always checked up on us and even cleaned up a large mess made one of our toddlers in the group. I would definitely recommend this place if your looking for an affordable great tasting eatery that is kid friendly. read more

Eh, I've had better ramen, the kids were craving and they were one of the 3 in the area, we picked this and the service was good and friendly. We received our food quickly once we were seated. Gave them 3 stars because the soup I received was bland and felt like there were more sprouts than noodles. The kids liked the katsu, the fried noodles was tasty, they have plenty of selections of ramen, it just missed on the flavor. read more

The gyoza and tan tan ramen was good. I ordered takeout and it was ready quick. The portion sizes was also reasonable.

I'm sorry Ramen-Ya :( Love You...but...not as much as Daiichi. I went around when they first opened and had the 20% off coupon. The food was...okay, not as tasty, even my parents said that it wasn't that good. Ordered the fried rice, ramen combo with curry and crispy seafood noodles(thinks that's the name). And the service was was ok. Overall, food OK and Service OK. So, 3 stars=OK. If your debating to go, Go: if you are close by and craving ramen. 3 stars still says good food and the presentation of it as well, was nice. Uploaded some photos :) read more

This was my first time at this restaurant, but I won't be going back. I am new to the island, and wanted to give local restaurants a chance. When I walked in, there was another person also placing a "to go" order. They were offered a glass of water and a seat while they waited. They looked like a local, someone who wasn't new to the area. I placed my order, simply told "food in 20 minutes," and she walked away. No offer of a seat or water. When I tried to purchase a drink, I was ignored, and left standing at the front door. I waited outside, because I wasn't made to feel welcome. When I returned, my food was labeled with a white "X" of tape, the other person's order wasn't marked that way. I brought home the food to find some of it burned, and wasn't really impressed with what they served. Clearly a " LOCALS ONLY" place, don't go if not a native of the island! read more

Reasonable prices. Good portions. Friendly service. Clean restaurant. I ordered (to go) the Seafood Crispy Noodle. When I dine in, I ask the server to bring this dish to me on separate plates. The seafood/veggie stew in a bowl and the noodles on the plate. The serving is large enough that I have never been able to finish the serving and always have to share this dish or take home leftovers. The sweetened green tea iced tea is my drink of choice here. I tried to order soybeans as a side order, but oddly enough at 11:00am on a Saturday, they ran out. The cashier told me that the restaurant was waiting on their food delivery order. My daughter ordered the mini mochicko chicken. It was filling for her. I always have a good experience here. I eat here regularly, since they are located near my office. The fried rice to me, was very bland but my fiancé liked it. In my opinion, the fried rice had too many green peas .. Our entire meal + a soda was less than $25... Didn't know what we were getting ourselves into as our only ramen experience has been with microwave ramen. Luckily for us we have heard some radio ads that talk about different kinds of ramen. We both ordered the Shoyu ramen and a side of chicken katsu. The chicken katsu arrived first and for it being a side order there was a generous helping for us to share. Our Shoyu ramen arrived steaming hot to the table and we began our food tour. We probably should of asked more questions when we ordered but the ramen was really good. Both of us are not a fan of bean sprouts but we ate them in the ramen without issue. The ratio of ramen, bean sprouts, and meat was off for us. 60% bean sprouts, 30% noodles, and 10% meat. The broth had a good flavor to it and with a little of sriracha gave it the kick I was looking for. Sadly my husband became sick later in the night after we had Ramen-Ya; unsure if it was because of the food or something else. Our first time will be our last time. read more
