I love this place! The chefs are so talented, and everything always tastes fresh and scratch-made. My go-to dish is the spicy carbonara ramen, but tonight I discovered a new favorite. I really hope they put it on the menu permanently! If I had to give one tiny piece of feedback, it would just be the timing from the kitchen. My husband and I have yet to receive our meals at the same time, but we'd love to see that dialed in!

I adore this spot. This Addison location is large and accommodating. Jason was very kind on the cell phone as well as kind at the table. I adored being able to enjoy the Okonomayaki as well as the Nanami Togarashi. The complimentary condiments enhance the already wonderful flavors. I love the classic Hakata Ramen. Ate the whole large bowl. The ice cream sandwich (no aka) was delicious and a pleasant experience. 10/10 :)

Went on girls night to exchange small gifts and enjoy some soup since it was rainy that day. The food was okay the dessert was really good. I would recommend this place to anyone. It's a place I've always wanted to visit just never made the time and glad we picked this place. I would come back again. Service felt a little rushed but other than that we had great time.

Forecast has been rain- filled. So, it was time for ramen-ya-san. You're telling me I can get hole- in-the wall, open kitchen views, ramen that I can customize alongside Kawaii music playing overhead? Say less! I went with a friend knowledgeable of the spot. He mentioned that the seasonings were exclusive to this location. Decor was delightful. Food was scrumptious and made to order. We partook in the Takoyaki as our appetizer. Here for the textures! No such thing as a bad bite. Then, we got our respective ramens. I had not tried a tomato based broth before. Excellent! Jammy egg? Perfection. The portions are ample. I had to get a to go container. We topped it off with Strawberry Monaka sandwich. It had white chocolate in it. Bonus! The menu is seizable. I look forward to returning and making my way thru. Thank you, Hakata, for a lovely first experience. Parking available in the retail lot. Kanpai!

Very good Ramen spot. The ramen hakata tonkotsu this was very tasty. I got it with the chatsudon. The service was fast and friendly. The servers were very thoughtful. The ambience was excellent. I really enjoyed the interior design and decoration.

I was in the mood for some ramen, and this place was nearby! We had the ("grilled") vegetarian gyoza to start off. My main gripe was the gyoza tasted very oily, which overpowered the rest of the dish. Next, I ordered the hakata ramen, which is essentially a tonkotsu ramen. The broth was okay; there was some flavor, but it wasn't as deep or complex as I would've liked. They do have sesame seeds, togarashi, and spice seasoning at the tables, which I added to help in the flavor department. The soft-boiled egg was more like a medium-boiled egg; the yolk wasn't runny whatsoever. The cha shu (pork slices) seemed kind of old; either the pork fat/oil went rancid. The price wasn't too bad either, I'd say Ramen Hakata is less expensive than most other ramen places I've been at in DFW.

Main rating is accurate. Service was EXCELLENT, interior and ambiance cozy. But the food lacking a bit: noodles too firm, broth was good, egg was good, but the chashu was tough and lacked flavor. I don't think I'll be back for the price. If I could give a .5 just for the service and fun atomosphere I would.

Garlic creamy carbonara with chicken and soft boiled eggs, Tonkotsu ramen, and miso broth ramen. Followed by green tea and black tea.

This spot has my heart. I have never enjoyed fresh ramen this much. The service was excellent and especially kind. I love the vibes in here. Lighting that relaxes, artwork that represents what it's all about, and great prices for the portions you receive. I would definetly recommend to any friend!

the food was so good, but what got me was the coleslaw sauce here! wow! If you are in the Dallas area, this is a must try. #califoniavisitor

Adding a second review with the tsukemen and korokke which were superb. Excellent prompt and attentive service. Also cool posters and interior decor. Definitely recommended!

Interior was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The food however didn't have much protein and flavor was nothing special. Also there was a roach in the bathroom- yikes. But the attentive staff and the service was a 10/10

Good but not great. I have eaten a lot of ramen, in the US as well as Japan, so I'm picky, but this didn't grab me the way I'd hoped. The garlic tonkotsu wasn't terribly flavorful and the noodles were quite al dente, erring on the side of too hard in my opinion. The sparkling yuzu beverage was tasty but very sweet. Small place, not a lot of tables, but ramen is one of those things that's best right away rather than takeout.

Visited on 10/1. Honestly this is the worst food I have had in the Addison area. The rice tasted like it was Minute rice or boil in a bag rice. The beef which was probably about 1 oz of it was bland, and chewy. Absolutely no flavor. I added the broth to my bowl to try and help the flavor but it did not help at all, in fact made it much worse. I could not finish my bowl. It is overpriced. $15 for a bowl of rice. To add insult to injury I tried adding hot sauce to make it taste better, only to see I got charged for that as well. I would not recommend.stay away from this place.

The noodles taste a tad like Chinese egg noodles instead of the wheat noodles at my familiar ramen spot in Austin. The pork is marinaded and has good meat and fat ratio. The egg is marinaded properly with a nice blend of saltiness and sweetness. It also contains pickled veggies, bamboo shoots and aromatic roasted garlic. I added level 2 spicy (level 1-3 spicy is free) and it had a nice heat. For those who can't handle too much heat but still want a little kick, I recommend level 1 spicy. Takoyaki is fantastic - 5 balls per order. We also ordered fried squid legs for appetizer and it added a nice crunch to the whole meal. The restaurant is cozy and clean. Very attentive service.

Drinks seem to be the focus and great if your taste in drinks isn't all that sophisticated. Menu is broad with a lot of choices but nothing really tastes great...just okay. Chicken Karaage was tempura chicken with a sweet glaze served with a side sauce. Flavor just seemed diluted. Tried the Spicy Bangkok Chicken Bowl and it was basically the Chicken Karaage on rice with a little heat served with the exact same sauce. We also order the Double Smash Burger but it too just tasted a bit bland and the texture was firm. Burger did not come with fries - we had to add crispy potato's (they don't have fries) after the burger was served. They were served with the same sauce as the the chicken dishes. So the food wasn't much to draw us back in again. The atmosphere was nice. Modern look and plenty of space with a comfy vibe. Lots a people and it was pretty loud but we felt comfortable. Like I said, it feels like a great place to just have some drinks with some friends and maybe get something to eat, but not a great place if you really want something good to eat. We don't regret coming here and had a good time even though the food was mid. Service was good and we like the vibe, but there are so many other places in Dallas that would are worth trying or revisiting before we would come back.

The ambiance tries to give you a fun Asian street food feel, minus the gravel and actual cars zooming by. I also loved that they have games you can grab and play at the table while you wait. We grabbed an UNO deck and had fun with that. We wanted to try a variety of things without ordering so much that we wouldn't finish it, and honestly, every single item we tried was delicious. They did a great job staying true to the traditional flavors and recipes. The nasi lemak was SO good! It has such a unique flavor that I know isn't for everyone, but they did it really well. Definitely one of my favorites from the meal. Our server was also wonderful. She asked about food restrictions, and one of our dishes accidentally came out with nuts. She immediately brought us a replacement and apologized before we even noticed. That kind of attention to detail and care really stood out. Definitely coming back to try more items. While I waited, several different employees came up asking why I was there and what my order was, which made it feel like no one was communicating with each other. My order wasn't ready until almost, 35 minutes past my scheduled pickup time. Around 7:25 PM, someone asked if I wanted whipped cream on my Thai tea, but instead of handing it to me, they set it on the back counter, where it sat until the rest of my order was ready. By the time I got it, it was watered down and sweating. I'm really disappointed. The whole point of ordering ahead and scheduling a pickup time is to avoid a long wait. A few minutes' delay is understandable, but 35 minutes past a pre-scheduled order is pretty ridiculous. I hope they improve how they handle pickup orders, because this experience makes me hesitant to order ahead again.

The menu is also a little limited - this location has been open a while already so I assume they aren't going to expand the menu beyond whatever is already on there.
