I think this is a good spot if you are looking for a standard bowl of ramen, but I did not find it particularly amazing. There can be a long wait, though they are pretty efficient with service and turning over tables. I got the classic ramen with very firm thick noodles and standard broth thickness and richness. I do like that you can customize both the noodles and broth based on your preferences. The flavor was overall okay. Nothing was wrong with it, but nothing particularly stood out or felt unique either. Overall, a solid option if you are craving a classic bowl of ramen!

Very good spot. The food was really good and the service was very good as well. There was a line outside and I can understand why. Not a huge space but they do serve fairly quickly and turn over tables efficiently.

Good ramen spot! I often see this place packed with long wait times, however, I don't think it's worth waiting for over 45 mins. I had their classic broth with 6 extra chasu and it was good. The broth was very flavorful and comfortable. The noodles could've been cooked better. The cool thing about this place is that they have you pick out the ingredients you want in the dish. Unfortunately, they don't include an egg which I think is kinda lame. The service was good. Our order was taken quickly and the food didn't take long to make. The ambiance is nice. I enjoyed the lighting and it was organized. Unfortunately place was packed so it felt a bit tight.

Ramen Danbo has always been popular, but man did it blow up in popularity since the last time I was here. I used to wait around 30 minutes usually, but now there will be at least an hour wait every night. Although, the staff work really hard to seat and serve everyone as quickly as possible. Ramen Danbo serves Fukuoka-style ramen, which features thinner, straight noodles and is customizable to your taste preferences. I definitely still enjoy their ramen and it's definitely still good, but it's hard to justify a long wait for just ramen. But nonetheless, it is still one of the cheapest meals you can get in Seattle. I don't think I'll be getting Ramen Danbo too often anymore, since their line has gotten really long. I'd be willing to try their vegetarian ramen though, since that's what made them go viral and I want to see how it compares.

Went on a sunday and arrived right after they opened. There was a short line which moved quickly. Ended up sitting on the counter for my party as the tables have filled. Service was pretty quick. I got the seasonal ramen which has ginger, and it was great! The ginger taste was just enough for me. It didn't overpower the broth and mixed well. It was perfect for the cold weather.

Such a small and cute popping Ramen spot! Heard great things and decided to pop in with my friend, and we were not disappointed! You first enter the restaurant and pick up a paper menu with a pencil and fill out what you would like to order at the table :). Makes it easier for the server and yourself to ensure you're getting what you asked for! I opted for the Classic Ramen with firm noodles and added an egg, and I looooved my plate. Amazingly seasoned pork, perfectly jammy egg center, and comforting broth. I enjoyed every single bite! Come try them out! :)

My friend and I were really craving soup/ramen after driving for 2 hours from Mt. Rainier to Seattle. Saw this as one of the best ramen places in Seattle (and it's Fukuoka ramen) so we wanted to try!! I waited in line first while my friend was driving around looking for parking. She ended up finding street parking. We waited in line for about 30-45 mins. While waiting in line we were able to fill out the order slip of what we wanted, so when we got seated they would take the slip and get the order going! The inside is kinda small, there were tables and bar seating. Overall it was really good ramen! I did wish the portion was a bit bigger though. But nonetheless worth the wait :) def will recommend to others and

Got lucky arriving around 11:45 AM on Sunday with no wait and immediate seating. By the time our food served, OMG the line was already out the door! The ramen noodles were great, I ordered them 'firm' and it was spot on. The biggest surprise was the Chashu Pork & Takana Donburi, absolutely delicious! They really should offer a full portion of this. I will definitely be back next time !"

Classic with extra rich broth.

I got there the second time and it was a Sunday. There was a line but it moved fast. Noodle was as tasty as I remember. 2 thumbs up.

I am STILL thinking about the ramen and gyoza I had from Ramen Danbo a few weeks ago. Yes, you'll have to stand in line, but it does move along pretty well. Plus, it's just a part of the experience. The restaurant is intimate with both counter seating and tables with chairs. We got a counter seat, but in the corner, so we were able to see the action, but not have all the heat / steam from the action where we were seated. I ordered the seasonal tomato ramen and it was incredible - like I said, I'm still thinking about it. It was flavorful and had a good balance of broth to noodles and other toppings. I also ordered the pork gyoza and they were prepared to perfection. This was a solid experience and I only wish I lived closer to a Ramen Danbo to be able to go back and explore the menu more.

Ok the broth was delicious. You fill out an order form before you sit. The pork belly was sliced very thin but other than that, there's addons and customizable options. There's usually a long line out the door but I went early before noon

*Vegetarian Foodie Review* Heard about this place from many locals, so we had to try it out. Went on a weekend and there was a huge line. We came back another time on a weekday, still a big line, but a bit shorter. We waited about 45 mins before our turn came. Ordered: 1) Classic Ramen (Regular, Mild, Thick noodles): I wanted to share with my 5 year old. I felt the broth could have been thicker. It was a bit light and not very filling for me, compared to other ramen places I have been to back in California. The flavor was definitely good though. Apparently there was some mix-up, because I felt they gave us medium spicy, my husband's ramen (medium spicy) and ours tasted exactly the same. It ended up being too spicy for my kid. She hardly ate any noodles, complaining it was spicy even after I separated them from the broth. I didn't complain to the restaurant since they were super busy that day, and honestly it was almost 10PM and we were starving and out of patience. 2) Classic Ramen (Regular, Medium Spicy, Thick noodles) 3) Vegan Gyoza: This was good. My 5 year old finished it all. 4) Strawberry Mochi Ice Cream: We loved it. We got 2 pieces in one order and savored every bite. The restaurant had limited seating and had typical ramen place vibes. The servers weren't very attentive; we kept trying to find someone who could help us at multiple instances. They seemed super busy and short-staffed. So not a great experience in terms of service, but for the food I would give a solid 4/5.

Came here 6 PM on a Monday, I had a 5-10 minute wait so guess we got super lucky! I'm not a ramen girl, so it has to be a damn good ramen to convert me. I ordered a miso ramen and my parents ordered the tonkatsu ramen. As someone from the Bay Area, I was so surprised by the richness of the ramen and it definitely beats some of my usual spots. Each bowl was ~$15 and a smaller bowl, so would definitely advise getting an extra batch of noodles. The chashu is melt in your mouth tender. The broth wasn't very salty or over complicated itself with a burst of spices, but highlighted the simplicity of a good ramen, tasting the long simmer of the pork. My dad was honestly pretty pissed circling around the area for an hour for parking, but said it was all worth it, even waiting in a long line.

Ramen Danbo Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Ramen Danbo

Is this restaurant Wheelchair accessible?

Yes

Do they allow pets?

No, only service animals.

Does Ramen Danbo use MSG?

I hope so. Msg is delish.

Do they offer gluten free options?

No - when I called in, their system explicitly said they don't offer any type of GF noodles.

Has indoor dining reopened?

Yes, at 25% capacity!

Do you have dine in now?

Yes

I have been here once before but recently I have had difficulties getting a hold of the restaurant on their phone line. Anyone else having this issue? We called multiple times a couple weeks ago around 6. Are the opening and closing times correct?

Indoor dining is shut down right now so maybe that's why they aren't answering. Pre shut down: they were open for lunch 11 am- 5 pm. But you can still order from them on Uber Eats from 11 am- 10:45 pm now.

Is there any other meat based broth than pork?

Yes - they have chicken and beef as well.

Is there parking?

No, it's street parking.

Do they have a gluten free noodle option? Looks like the noodles are flour based-is there a rice based noodle?

They just started having GF noodles as an option!

Is the broth made from fish oil? I am allergic but still want to try this place and I'm hoping I can get regular broth not vegetarian

If you have an allergy I would DEFINITELY call the restaurant to get a proper answer. Don't rely on random people from yelp. That being said, I believe they use lard not fish oil to make their broth rich. You can customize everything at this place.…

Is the vegan ramen broth nut based? What is it made from?

It is a mushroom based broth. There is a vegan milk substitute added that may be almond milk.

Service was very friendly, but communication between my waiter and the kitchen was lacking. I ordered the gekikara ramen, and the waiter said he'd ask the kitchen to put the habanero paste on the side so I could add it to taste. He did warn that it was *very* spicy. When the ramen arrived and I started eating it, I definitely raised my brows at how spicy it still was despite not having the habanero paste in it yet -- or so I thought. I added a bit more just so I could at least try the paste, but then I was at my personal threshold for spiciness. A few minutes later, I heard the waiter tell the cook in Spanish that I asked for the habanero to be on the side. The waiter then apologized and told me that the cook misunderstood and put the habanero into the broth (which I then ended up adding even *more* into). I wasn't upset at all and actually thought it was pretty funny, but the waiter felt so bad that they discounted my ramen on my bill. Aside from the pretty intense level of heat, the flavors were great and the noodles had the perfect amount of chew, but the sheer level of spiciness I was dealing with did negatively impact my enjoyment of the ramen to some degree. I also tried the karaage bun, which had pieces of karaage sandwiched inside a fluffy bun with cucumbers and green onions. This was actually helpful for staving off the heat, but it was also just a delicious little treat to enjoy with my meal. So was the strawberry passionfruit slushie, which wasn't too sweet and was very refreshing. The mishap with the ramen didn't ruin my meal, but everything about this meal was just ok. Nothing that blew my mind and really stood out, but certainly nothing terrible. Seattle just has too many really standout restaurants for me to want to come back here over one of those.
