    Black garlic ramen

This was a good quick stop after landing on Maui if you need something to fill your stomach after a long flight. It's a short drive from the airport, and the service is fast. The food is good when you have had only peanuts and oreo cookies, but I am not sure if I would head here during the week.

it's a great spot in Kihei in a perfect location. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Most of the reviews love this restaurant and that's great. My opinion is based on the broths. We had four different soup types and they were all good and hit the spot, but didn't have particularly spectacular taste. And it wasn't piping hot. I can see why it may be popular though. I like they have such a wide variety of broth types, ranging from Tonkotsu to Curry to Black Garlic to Won Ton. Which you can get in either ramen or udon. And they have even more dishes like rice plates and tempura and even more. But maybe I'm used to restaurants that focus their attention and expertise on fewer dishes. Service was fine. We were only one of two parties during dinner. I like the place was huge and spacious. No cramped feeling at all.

If you've taken a look through our page (pretentious to say, we know) then you know we eat A LOT of ramen. We wanted to try out what Hawaii has to offer so we stopped by Ramen Bones to see what they got. Parking is available so getting to the restaurant isn't difficult at all, the inside of the restaurant is also clean and service is good. The menu is solid with multiple ramen offerings and appetizers though I will say the price for the food here is a bit higher than I've seen at places on the mainland. For food we ordered tonkotsu and spicy shoyu ramens. From the first sip the broth was delicious, very flavorful and not thick with fat like some other places. The noodles were chewy and just the right texture. The chasu was good, not the best, but good. The biggest miss was the egg. The egg here is just a regular hard boiled egg, not ajitama which threw us off a bit. Beyond that the rest of the toppings were good. Overall, the food was pretty good for what we initially went in expecting. If you like ramen and you're in the area this may be the spot for you.

The Unadon was sooo good, perfectly grilled and flavorful, with just the right amount of sauce. The chicken fried noodles were a total hit with the kiddos, super tasty and not too heavy, which was perfect. Only thing I didn't love was the mini curry plate. It wasn't bad, just not my favorite, the flavor felt a little flat compared to everything else. Overall, still one of our go-to spots for a family meal. Great portions, and a solid variety of options!

Small restaurant, tons of parking. Got the Tan Tan, broth was too mild for my taste as I prefer a richer broth, included 1 piece of fatty char siu. The noodles were al dente, just the way I like it. Enjoyed the gyoza, delicious filling, great with the gyoza sauce left on the table with a lot of other sauces. Perfect comfort food which was needed during my hectic trip to Maui. Fast friendly service, food served piping hot.

I was on my way to Walmart to stock up for some snacks when I needed a quick easy dinner. Tucked away by the Home Depot, this little restaurant turned out to be a good choice. Very understated, many empty seats when we arrived around 6:30 pm on a Friday night. The ambiance was clean and casual. I had the Tonkotsu ramen and my husband had the chicken katsu curry. Service was friendly and efficient. When the food arrived, we were surprised by the portion size. Both dishes were tasty. I've been on Maui for the last 5 days, and I would have to say that this meal was the most bang for the buck. Made me wonder whether this was indeed a spot for locals?

Was excited to try this place out. Flew in and went straight here as we were starving. A quick drive from the airport. The restaurant was busy. The food portion was great and was very tasty. They were tentative and filled up our water often. Everything was amazing but if you're eating there double check their plates for cleanliness.

We had dinner here on a Sunday night it was around 7pm and most places on Maui are closed down at this time. So we decided to come here and we're so glad we got to try this place out. We walked in and told the wait would be about 5-10 minutes long. She no problem so we decided to wait outside. They have a few chairs and a couple of benches which you can wait on. So we walked in and the place was really busy that's a good thing. We decided on choosing chicken Katsu, kim Chee Fried Rice and shrimp Tempura. Decided taste really good. The fried rice had a good kick to it out was to spicy for me. My niece chose the takoyaki and she enjoyed it. She ate it all by herself. The ambiance is it's really crowded in a small space. But the virus really do with very well and fast. They all work together. Oh and they have canned Pepsi products! That's a no for me! Bring in Coke products please! But we'll come back here again! We really enjoyed their food. The food came out really fast.

I came here for lunch today for my first time and I really enjoyed it . Great food , options and good prices . Their lemon iced tea is the best iced tea I have ever had I give them 5 stars . I will be coming back with my husband and son

Also the peppers are amazing! The portion is generous. Small space that can get crowded and was a little intimidating walking in the first time. This was not on our itinerary but we noticed how packed it was when we were exploring the day before and decided to check it out the next day for dinner. Best to come before the dinner rush or be prepared to wait. We came around 5:30 PM and by the time we finished, there was a group of people waiting for a table. I believe they only take reservations for parties of 6+ We ordered the Tajima Black Ramen (Garlic), Pork Katsu Curry Rice, Toro Taku Maki, Pork Gyoza, Mango Soymilk, and Passion Yuzu Mule. Everything hit the right spot and was exactly what we needed to revive ourselves again. A fun fact we learned about their sushi rice was that it's made with Akazu which is premium red vinegar and could make it look like brown rice. I'm a huge fan of red vinegar and thought it paired nicely with the fish. I wouldn't mind coming back here again the next time we're on Maui

We made a reservation about a week in advance and I highly recommend doing that because it was packed the night we went. I think they may have bar seating first come, first serve. I really liked the celebration cocktail and my husband enjoyed the Kamuela Fizz. We ordered the pork steam buns, which I loved the most. Pro tip: ask for four if you have a party of two or four. They won't charge you extra and you'll have an even number so no one is fighting for some. We also enjoyed the hot and sour soup and the Look More Funn noodles. Everything we ate was delicious. Our server was stellar. I recommend asking for their spicy chili oil, if you like heat. It paired well with everything we tried. Parking was very difficult right by the restaurant but someone at our hotel mentioned they always park in the Longs Drugs parking lot and we did that- no issue.

About 30 minutes before our reservation, we returned and attempted to order non-alcoholic drinks for our kids while waiting outside. We were told that this was not allowed--apparently, children cannot even have water or soft drinks in the outdoor area. This was an extremely strange and unnecessarily rigid policy. Even more confusing, we were told the bar area was reserved exclusively for walk-ins. Because we had a reservation, we were not allowed to sit at the bar and have a cocktail while waiting. The whole situation was bizarre and made what should have been a relaxed start to dinner unnecessarily uncomfortable. The food may be good, but the customer experience and inflexible policies left a very poor impression.
