Warning: I have high standards for ramen since I came from a Japanese area in California. 1. My biggest issue of this place is the broth. Tonkotsu supposed to be deepppp, but this is not deep and has a artificial aftertaste. But if you are here I recommend the shio over shoyu since it has a little less aftertaste. 2. They chose thin noodle: good side is it infused more broth flavor, bad side is it get soggy fast in hot soup. And since their soup is not good, it's really boring in my mouth, both flavor and texture wise 3. Their chasu is just bland and hard. Good chasu supposed to be tender, flavorful and packed with smokiness 4. They do their eggs right! Runny, creamy, with shoyu and sake flavor. 5. Big No on their bamboo shoots! It still has that preservatives smell from the can! 6. Tip: If you ask for ice water they will serve water bottle that you have to pay for. You have to ask them you just want normal water so they bring you a free water pitcher Overall, I won't be coming back here. But you can try for your own experience!

This ramen is LEGIT. Having been to Japan it was really hard to find legit good ramen here and I'm so glad I found it!! The broth has an umami taste and their meat and noodles are cooked to perfection. Their service is really great as well. Manager said not all the appetizers are available right now for their soft opening but should be available for their grand opening. I would definitely recommend and will be back!

Great ramen! I got the spicy pork shoyu ramen. I will definitely return. Service was good and also enjoyed the small restaurant vibe.

Also, tried their Cherry Blossom Jelly...which was good (but probably not enough to try again?). I regret not trying one of their Mille Crepe Cakes...but hopefully I'll get to try it next time? Megan wanted a dining room meal not fast foo, so we picked Jinya based on my experience at the Athens location. It was a good choice! There are many restaurants in this plaza, so there is plenty of good parking. We were in after 1pm so the lunch crowd was mostly gone. The restaurant has the somewhat standard contemporary asian restaurant look. We were quickly seated at a window table. The menu is small but has what you want for a ramen restaurant. I ordered the original tonkotsu with crispy chicken topping. Megan ordered the chicken ramen. The order arrived quickly at our table along with some additional sauces. My ramen was outstanding. The pork slices were tender and delicious. I don't know how they flavor that egg but it is good! The broth was tasty but aggressively salted. The chicken topping was just the over the top thing I like. Megan liked her chicken ramen quite a bit, so much so she ate it all, not bring anything home. Yes I would come back next time I am hungry in the area. It was $47 plus tip including soft drinks. Seems to be an extensive bar here too if you are looking for that. Hey if you are across 85 at Costco thinking about lunch, come over here! Even if you don't come to Jinya there are better choices here that you might miss if you stay over there!

My friends and I have fond memories of this place, and it's still just as good as before. The…read morerestaurant is warm, and with all the wood, makes for like a cozy cabin or an older house kind of vibe. It completely fits with the nostalgia we were feeling and hanging out with each other again. Service was efficient, and we were easily able to converse with each other. The food is pretty heavy what with it being fried and mostly carbs, but the kimchi and pickled radish help cut the greasiness of it. One of the standout things about this place is that they have DonPas. When we first heard of it, we though it would be fun to get. The donkatsu used for it is thin and fried well. The pork wasn't dry at all, and it was able to hold the pasta and its sauce while remaining crunchy though you definitely should eat it before the sauce truly sets in and changes the texture. For the pasta portion, we went with carbonara pasta, and it was good! Creamy and paired pretty well with donkatsu, which normally has a different type of sauce with it. We also got the UFO fried rice to share. It was filling, and I highly recommend it with egg, cheese, and corn over sauce. That being said, not a fan of the lot to get here. It's got a bit of an decline/incline, not the worst I've experienced, but still something that I took note of. At least my car didn't hit the ground with a scratch like another place I've been to. Leaving can be difficult if it's a busy time with lots of cars, but it's not too bad... I just know I'm not the best driver.

Lots to choose from the menu and our food came out quickly. We both got the Donpas, a combo of donkatsu and pasta. Portions were HUGE and lasted me 2 meals!
