Ramen 101 is an okay ramen spot. The noodles are a bit larger than I prefer and the seasonings are a tad peculiar but over it's a fairly reliable take out spot, arrives well packaged, and offers a nice size portion. The phone service is decent as I've only had to call and speak with them. I've never dined in, so can't inform you about the ambiance; nonetheless, they're reliable and consistent. .

I love ramen and hoped to find a good place near my house. The ramen here is a build-your-own bowl. I picked tonkotsu broth (pork base), chashu, and spicy. There's also a variety of toppings included, but some they charge extra. The ramen is decent, but nothing mind-blown. I've had good ramen in the Bay Area, SoCal, and Japan. I recommend Ramen Nagi or HiroNori Craft Ramen in the South Bay if you want good ramen.

Tonkotsu ramen: Noodles dont feel high quality. Its unslurpable, when I pick it up with chopsticks, it feels plastic-ey and looks plastic-ey. The noodles looks like they repel each other. They are slightly bigger than instant ramen noodles. The noodles also dont take in flavor that well, doesnt taste bland but the noodles lack flavor, I have to eat the noodles then sip some soup to get flavor. The chashu is pretty good, its moist, meaty, the right size, I like the sauce they add on to it but the pieces with sauce also taste good in the broth. Still not the best chashu I've had Soft boiled egg is alright, doesnt look that pretty, yolk is cooked a lil too much, the egg gets the job done. Even tho soft boiled egg is usually my favorite in a ramen dish, this one wasnt. The bamboo is standard, lots of flavor, crunchy while being chewy too. I rate this highly Naruto pieces also taste good, they dont have the naruto swirl but good texture and flavor. I dont like bean sprouts, they got in the way of my noodles. But they're nasty flavor didnt get in the way as they usually do. It was just texturally in the way, I dont wanna hear crunch crunch when eating my noodles yknow. I barely had the corn, it sunk down into the soup before I got to it Soup is good, im not good at describing flavors. Flavor is light, but tasty. I chose tonkotsu and non spicy. My ranking of ingredients 1. Chashu 2. Soup 3. Egg 4. Bamboo 5. Naruto 6. Noodles 7. Beansprouts 8. Corn Extra Fast service, got my food almost instantly Pretty empty on a tuesday at 1pm. As I was here, I saw one person get pickup, a guy delivering the ingredients, and another dine in. Order up front, and pay before u eat like fast food. Right after ordering, cashier hands u napkins and chopsticks. Music is very soft and peaceful, can barely hear the music, which I prefer. There is a self order machine but it hasnt been working I think. Last time I came, the card machine didnt work so they only accepted cash. Luckily they fixed it by the time I came back today It's not bad, I dont feel offended, but I think I prefer instant ramen. The slurp is invaluable 4/5

I used to go to Ramen 101 in San Leandro and thought I'd give this location a try. Walking in, you can order at the kiosk or at the counter then choose a spot to sit--no frills. Gyoza: 3/5 - Not bad, very crispy. My son loved it, he ate it all up. I asked for scissors to cut them and they were very accommodating. Black garlic ramen: 4/5 - Great flavor and portion size. Mildly spicy, which I liked and it wasn't over powering. Parking is fairly easy but depending on the time, it can be pretty busy.

Saw a sign that they were under new Management so we gave it a try. Very nice young lady taking orders. There were two of us we both ordered ramen. Mine came wrong was missing veggies so back it went as my lunch partner ate hers so it would not get cold. About 10 minutes mine was Brought back with the veggies but now it was cold. My lunch partner was almost done with her meal so I requested a refund. No attempt Was made to make it eight other then Refunding me my Money which is a mute point. Maybe a a gift card to try Rhenish again or comp My lunch mates. Something for ruining our lunch date. My lunch partner enjoyed her pork ramen. I never got the chance to enjoy mine. So take your chance here.

Located next to Ono Hawaiian BBQ, off redwood road. Lots of indoor seating. Order self serve kiosk Or at counter. Food came out quick and was filling.

Stopped by for late lunchie. I had the black garlic ramen with seafood, it was so delicious, hot soup and the broth was on point. First time with white peach bottled drink. Hubby had miso ramen with pork slices, broth was scrumptious. He had a mango bottled drink. The ramen portions were so huge, we took home the remaining portions to indulge later. We been here previously and returned again. There's plenty of off street parking.

The food tastes really good and really no complaints on that front, but to be charged $10 for this small amount of chicken is highway robbery.

Very Delicious food with variety. Extremely respectful and delightful waiters. I would personally rate this a 10/10 experience.

Ask the Community - Ramen 101

Are the shoyu and miso broths made from pork?

Yes they are. I asked the cashier and she told me they put a splash of pork bone broth in those mentioned in your question except for the veggie and tomato broths. I went with the veggie broth and it's yummy :)

I want to order Black Garlic Ramen on DoorDash and I'm wondering if the order include the soft boiled egg... or do I have to click the on the extra button and pay $1 to add it myself...? I don't want to end up with two eggs..

It does not include egg. You do have to add extra for $1.

Do you provide delivery service which cost less than DoorDash, UberEat, GrubHub?

Yes, you can place delivery order via https://www.ezcater.com/catering/ramen-101-relish-3.

Can you list any vegan options?

Admittedly our vegan option is limited. You can substitute noodle with sprouts. For the broth, I definitely recommend veggie broth. For side, vegetable tempura or agedashi tofu without bonito fish flakes.

Is the shelter in place affecting the days you guys are open? If so what days are you open?

We are everyday 1130am-830pm. We accept walk-in/phone-in pick up, doordash, GrubHub and UberEat.

    Do you use MSG?

We don’t deliberately put MSG in our food. I want to err on the side of caution. Some food is already marinated when they deliver to our restaurant.

    Are you open today?

We are closed today and tomorrow. Will reopen Friday and weekend.

Are you guys doing take out during the shelter in place?

Yes we do accept phone in for take out and DoorDash delivery. You are welcome walk in order but we implement social spacing and ask customer wait outside for their turn to order or pick up. No dine in though.
