I bought take out here a couple of weeks ago as I was hosting a gathering in my house. Lots of parking. The salt and pepper fish fillet was SUPER good!! Everyone liked that a lot. The mongolian beef was pretty good. Eggrolls were alright. The fried rice was pretty good. Since I had a big order, they threw in some crab wontons so that was nice. There is no seating. You just order to go only. The place looked a little run down. But for the price and amount of food, i think it was overall 4 stars. I definitely will come back to try other things! And get the fish again. Haha read more

This is a walkin order to go pick up place. They deliver to surrounding neighborhoods. I decided to get some salt n pepper dried fried ribs. The prices are average there's a bench where you can sit and wait or sit in your car. It's better to call ahead and pick your items up if they don't deliver to you. In the past I've tried the shrimp fried rice and house chow mien and the Mongolian beef plate. All are very good and I will go back especially for the dried fried ribs read more

We wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant. Even though this place has been here for years, we just never considered it. The people there are very friendly and the prices are good. Egg Roll King - Chinese Near Me - Hayward, California

Delicious shrimp eggrolls. They were hot, crispy, flavorful and you could feel and taste the shrimp.

A small little hole in the wall. In the same plaza as grocery outlet. Service was quick and good. Not sure if it just was an off day or a different cook. We wanted to try some of their other dishes. We had ordered the salt & peppered fish, chop suey veggies, and beef chow mein. The salt & peppered fish was extremely salty. The chop suey was over cooked and drenched in sauce. The chow mein barely has any beef and was salty as well. Hopefully if there a next time, the dishes we try doesn't disappoint. read more

King pao chicken was very very very spicy in the best way, like lava. Equal sauce to portion ratio veggies cut very even. Great customer service. Price point perfect can not wait to return. read more

Had the veggie and shrimp egg rolls, preferred the latter, but they were both pretty good. These are medium size egg rolls (smaller than what you'd get at King Eggroll in the south bay), but fitting for the price, and good enough for two separate meals. The restaurant is just a takeout spot, pretty bare inside, except one bench, a tiny bit of decor on the blue-colored walls, and the menu posted on the window. Ordering online was easy and the food was made promptly, packaged well, and still crispy even after the drive home. Service was standard but sufficient. read more

Wanted to try this place out but they do not accommodate shellfish allergies. I called before I showed up to check. The lady was nice but said they cook everything in the same pans and not sure about the cleaning, like for contamination. I was looking forward to trying the food here but I rather not die. read more

Yes I will go back again and try something else this time I only had the veggie eggrolls. They were hot full of vegetables and good, but be advised this is a takeout restaurant not a dining. That's the drawback.. read more

My favorite Chinese food in the Bay Area. Went back recently and it was as good as I remembered. Orange chicken with fried rice is my favorite but the Crab wontons, Egg Rolls, Chow Mein, and Shrimp dishes are all fantastic. If you're up for it, ask for extra spicy Orange Chicken, its incredible. Also great people who run the restaurant. Very kind and quick. read more

I am still debating between 4 or 5 stars here. But I'm keeping it 5 based on what I've experience so far. First off, don't get mixed up with the infamous chain "King Egg Roll". These two are completely different restaurants. It's funny because the staff will inform you the same thing when you order through phone just for reaasurance. I was in a time crunch for a last minute food platter for a potluck dinner. This being the closest chain closeby, I decided to give a shot. For the platter and portion size, a small would feed about 10 people at least or more. But for potluck style whereas many other dishes will be available, this is a perfect portion. I chose a small platter of Chicken Fried Rice to keep it simple. Drove for about 45mins before cracking open the lid and the food was still fresh and aromatic. Although the platter looked very simple, the taste offset the visual. Neither the rice or chicken was dried and the flavor was not too bland. This allows the portioned to be combined with another food item within the potluck to be enjoyed together. I liked what I tasted so far. I'll same more dishes throughout other upcoming events. One con only. This spot seems to be purely take out only. There seems to be insufficient space for dine in option. read more

The food is fresh and great quality. Very easy to order even when changing some of the ingredients.

This place in Hayward has great food and low prices and are very friendly people. It's small and you can't dine in but it's good for a night of takeout at home. It's worth going to. read more

this is a place you'll find on B street where there's a mix of businesses and residential presence. it only offers to go orders and phone orders for pick-up.. it's a hole in a wall and honestly it's a great find. orders for walk-ins as well as phone orders are fulfilled fast. my go to place for dry rub fried pork ribs and the combination or house special rice noodle is great. any of their fried rice are good too. prices are competitive if not lowest. ill definitely recommend this place. read more

their food is so good i haven't tried everything but everything i've tried is fye and their very friendly

The food and communication has always been good. We are recent customers, but have ordered from them frequently over the past six months. Every time it has been amazing! The salt and pepper, chicken and fish are great as well as the chicken fried rice and walnut shrimp read more

Everytime I'm out, if I see a Chinese restaurant I have to stop by and sample their egg rolls. This to me is a measure of how the rest of the dishes will go. I'm pleased to report that the next time I go I have to order the other dishes. My wife and I just had brunch next door and I figured I'd try them. I ordered the chicken and shrimp egg rolls and both were fantastic! Very tasty and not salty. Service was reasonable in terms of waiting time. But they don't really have a designated area to eat in. It's take out only. Next time I'm in the area I'll have to try ordering more dishes. The salt and pepper fish looked great! read more

(4.5 out of 5) Whenever I want take out Chinese I come here, cheap food and you get so much when you order, super nice lady always taking orders. Good is good, it's not 5/5 but for the price and the amount it's amazing, best bang for your buck Chinese food, I get the Szechuan chicken, or curry chicken. And if you want somthing more crispy I'd suggest the sesame chicken. Ambiance is whatever. Whole in the wall. Take out only When you come tell them Rothyy Sent you! read more

So I ordered from two places today. This one and Bao Bao 88 in Castro Valley and THIS PLACE was the spot! So unassuming and SUPER DELICIOUS and beyond affordable. I spent $20 at this place and $60 at the other. Let's just say, I should've just come here. Ordered: Wor Wonton Soup - EXTREMELY flavorful and rich with veggies, shrimp, beef, chicken and wontons for like $8. Hot and Sour Soup - LOTS of tofu and egg and phenomenal flavor! Also at the $8 mark. Don't sleep on this little hole in the wall spot. All I got was soup, but worth it 100%. read more

Been going here for years. Love their food. Everything is packed with so much flavor. Their fried rice and sweet sour chicken is my favorite

Some dishes are really good some not. Wonton soup is very good. Very handy for a quick pickup dinner.

Freaking delicious. I got the chicken thin noodle and it was really good. The service is ehh but who cares when the food is this good

The food is good especially for the price but my order was unfortunately wrong (and I live in SF so too late to go back). I ordered 1 chicken egg roll order & 2 vegetable. Got all of them vegetable. Ordered a chicken fried rice but it was a fish instead (and I'm allergic). Would have been nice if I had been told it this was because they are out? The woman acted like my order was correct when she gave it to me. read more

Food is always fresh. Good service. Small little take out place that is convenient and decently priced.

I'm so disappointed :( Came here to try-our this place. I ordered something very simple: chicken fried rice and wonton noddle soup. My food took 30 minutes to be ready which I did not mind. When I got my food I went home and started eating the fried rice. Let me tell you the chicken was RAW!!!!!! Like they put it on top of the rice RAW!!!! Omg I can't believe it. The wonton soup taste like it was heated in the microwave. I DO NOT recommend this place. Please stay away! To eat raw chicken can cause salmonella or infection. I had to grab my pan and re-fried the chicken. I will not comeback to this place NEVER! read more

Egg Roll King - Chicken fried rice. Which the chicken is RAW! - Chinese Near Me - Hayward, California

Nothing wrong with this place. We've eaten here three times, all times had consistent quality and taste. The food quantity is generous, the staff which looks like a young husband and wife team are both friendly. The price is unbeatable, in a time of skyrocketing prices. They have my vote. read more

My wife loves this place. She is not an adventurous Chinese Food eater. She knows exactly what she wants and what it ought to be. Egg Roll King exceeds her expectations in all respects. She rates the place a 5+. I am in at a solid 3. However, you cannot miss this if you want a can't miss Chinese place which is always open these days This is a real hole-in-the-wall space. It does not look like much. No sit down. No beer. No chop sticks. No menu written in Chinese. The cook and team are young and cooking their version of Chinese Food. Not classics from home. Home is here. No amenities except take-out. The take-out is worth your trip. Chicken Egg Rolls. 5. Not classic Chinese. Definitely, an Americanized version and she loves them. Perfect. Pork Fried Rice. 5. Excellent. Lots of everything in it. Sweet and Sour Pork. 5. Lots of pork. Very tender. No gristle. Great flavor. No fat. Not many vegetables. Large serving. She absolutely loves this. Mu Shu Pork. 5. The pancakes were fine, not as delicate as in classic versions, but ample for the task. Wonderful fish sauce. Very fresh and large serving. She just devoured it. Pot Stickers. 3. These were for me. I expected classic potstickers and these not. Nothing wrong with them. I should have ensured that they were steamed. 7 potstickers. The flavor was fine, just not classic. Szechuan Chicken. 3. Not classic. Just OK. The sauce was fine as the preparation was fresh and showed a much more contemporary fusion and not classic. I expected a lot more heat and much more in the way of peppers. Lots of chicken. Mongolian Beef. 3. Not classic. Just OK. I really wanted a lot more heat and peppers. Lots of beef. Not many vegetables, large portion. More like fusion and not classic. Sesame Ball. 5. Classic and very yummy. 10 balls in the offering. This was a free gift and a pleasant surprise. I read more

The fried rice lunch plates are the bomb.. a favorite of my family's places to eat, especially for lunch

Used to be my go to place for Chinese, decent quality and value. However, seems prices have nearly doubled since before Covid, and the quality, not so much any more. For example, my Kung Pao Tofu, a spicy dish, wasn't spicy. It was actually sweet, really sweet, and excessively oily, and worst of all, a sacrilege, no peanuts! OMG! The Orange Chicken has dramatically fallen off. The packaged variety at TJs is considerably better at this point. At least it has orange flavor. And when one orders extra spicy for a Chinese dish, it doesn't mean throw in a bunch of jalapeños. Tastes very unauthentic. In fact the food is somewhat flavorless all around, and did I say oily! Finally, why the hell are you making me decline a tip and sign for a $25 order. ALL u did was put it in a bag, that became such a mess I couldn't even open my fortune cookies for the grease. And you rung it up. How is this tip worthy? Seriously? read more

One of the tastiest and crispy chicken wings in the area. Always satisfied with this order and my husband and I each get our own. Delicious! First time I tried their sesame balls, I was very impressed. You don't have to go to San Francisco China town for a delicious budget meal. Every single meal is made to order so it's always fresh- unlike chain restaurants where they have their dishes sitting under heat lamps all day. A must have in Hayward! read more
