When I saw Ramblin' Roads move into the restaurant location that had been held by numerous restaurants after the closure of a long established restaurant, café Alicia, in bountiful Utah, I was skeptical that it would last very long. But after reading and number of great reviews on yelp, and hearing from some friends that it was a great place to have breakfast, I decided to give it a try. Definitely Glad we went this morning. Super slow service. Getting our seat was fast but it took 10 minutes for someone to tell us they would be right with us. Then another 5 mins until she took our order. It has now been 20 minutes since we ordered (for 3 people) and we still don't have our food. 35 mins waiting. This better be some good food because the service is terrible! We were told that everyone showed up at once, but shouldn't the be prepared for a lunch rush which consists of 3 small families? We love this place. Decent diner. Our most recent visit my husband got the smothered breakfast burrito which was pretty good. I got the biscuits and gravy. I wanted to try something different. The gravy was nothing to write home about but the rambling potatoes and eggs were good. Let me start off by saying I like the food here and the staff is great. We come here as often as every other Saturday. Mimosa and bloody Mary's are awesome also. Here is the problem. We have been in twice before and my wife will order the smothered breakfast burrito. Each time the burrito will come out with a table spoon of chili verde. With no exaggeration I really mean a table spoon. When asked for more the server will tell us that they will have to charge us an up charge for extra . After a discussion and I show them how much was originally put on the burrito they have never charged us. So today we want breakfast and she wants a breakfast burrito. We decide to go to Alice's because they actually give you a fair amount of chili verde. They were closed for some reason so we head back up to Ramblin. She orders the breakfast burrito and again literally a tablespoon of chili verde. She asks for more and no discussion this time the server just brings it out. She was great by the way. My message is this. Ramblin you are losing business over this. Put a fair amount of Chile verde on your burrito. Sheeesh!!!!!! read more

Looking for a good place for a late breakfast and this was perfect. Scones are the best I have had in Utah. Flaky on the outside chewy on the inside and not over cooked. The special was the berry crepes and they were delicious. A definite must try for anyone and I can guarantee we will be back. read more

This place is BY FAR the best place in the area for breakfast. In a desolate wasteland of crap fast food, podunked family restaurants and big box stores, this place stands alone atop a pedestal of deliciousness. The Americans in our group loved their straightforward ode to the classic breakfast we know and love. Our Canadian friend remarked that this was the "most American breakfast I've ever had!" while downing a Bloody Mary with a giant bacon strip coming out of it. Locals seem to love this place. It was pretty busy at 8:00am on a Saturday. I had the Rambler Skillet. It was served in a bowl and not a skillet, which shouldn't matter but somehow did in the back of my mind. I had toast but I noticed a lot of people trying the scone. They looked yummy but I'm not into sweet stuff for breakfast. Waitress seemed nice and refilled my coffee when I requested. Overall, a good experience. read more

Great spot for breakfast!!! Took some clients of mine that were in town here and was very impressed. Scones were incredible, eggs done perfectly but if you like them over-easy at home get them over-medium. Waitress was nice enough to give me that tip and they were perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by this diner. I ordered take out based on other Yelp reviewer's recommendations and was not disappointed. If I had driven past this restaurant I would not have gone in by the looks of it. It looks like a place that truckers and bikers might eat at from the outside. While that's fine, it's not typically the types of places that I feel comfortable going into. However, the inside is very typical home town diner with the decor. We have only eaten there 3 times now. Just found out about it 1 month ago. But it is worth the 25 minute drive everytime!!! We have gone 2xs for lunch and 1x for dinner. This place was highly recommended by a friend of mine. The first meal I had was lunch. I ordered a Patty Melt with. Side of Potato Salad. The sandwich was made with Marble Rye and it was outstanding. My husband and I have followed Ramblin Roads for years. We love going here for the great food, service and prices. My husband loves the Country Platter and I am a HUGE fan of the everything omelet. Our youngest daughter loves to get their fish tacos and our oldest loves the burgers. We always leave extremely full and satisfied. We have had great service - when we ask for something extra (like the amazing strawberry jelly) they always bring it right out. You'd think with the name biker breakfast it would be large. Nope just the price. Also they seem to be proud of their gravy. Way too much something. Either sage or thyme, but not a good flavor.
