The waitress who took the order was so nice, friendly and helpful - we picked up 3 turkey dinners with extra cranberry, 2 with salads and 1 veggies -- all of us had wonderful delicious food. It was packed really nice with gravy and salad dressing in separate containers. The other dinner was pulled pork with salad and again she said her dinner was yummy. It was worth every penny. The service was fantastic- the steaks were not. My NY Steak was barely 1/2 inch at the thickest and about 1/8 inch at the narrowest point. There was really very little meat, most of it well over the medium rare I ordered. Mashed potatoes and gravy were meh, and veggies overdone. After having a cold morning in the mountains playing in the snow, we wanted to stop and get some hot breakfast before returning to our family's home. We were seated right away and after our waitress took our order, our food came out pretty quickly. Food was great, seats were cozy and we were in and out of there pretty quickly. There was also a cute little play town in the parking lot of the restaurant that we we're probably too big to play in but decided to roam around and get a couple of pics. Was driving Portland to Seattle when I suddenly got hungry and saw this place. I got the open face turkey sandwich, which was delicious and a good deal at under $20. Big chunks of turkey, great mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce. What put it over the top was the bread the turkey was on. I'm not sure how they prepared it but it was amazing. Servers are nice and attentive, however, with the floor plan, you could be put somewhere where you aren't readily seen by wait staff. I don't blame the staff but the design of the building. Fried pickle chips here are the main reason I stop by. Keep them on the menu please! The only reason they got four stars instead of five is that, while everything was really good (the food, ambiance, service) nothing was really above and beyond. By accident I found it by way of food sign on the freeway. Don't tell anyone about the truck parking. Stupid good food. I'm having the corned beef hash for breakfast. It's the only breakfast item not served after 11AM. I just had a slice of cherry pie to go after my pork chops. Heaven! Price aside, I'd get it again but there's a few other things I'd try first. The most disappointing thing was the bread pudding. I liked it, but for that teeny portion it should be half that price. Seriously. I got takeout but if I had eaten inside I would have refused it when I saw it. I've never seen such a small portion of bread pudding. If you've got more money than you need, I definitely recommend the place. I've been here a few times now: twice for dinner, once for breakfast. All three were great. The smoked tri-tip is particularly good. The dinner salads are enormous. The beer is cold and the coffee is delicious. I can't say enough good things about the food. The service is excellent, particularly in the bar where I've eaten dinner. It looks a bit rustic on the inside, so if that's your thing then you'll feel welcome. Regardless, go and enjoy a good meal. The truck parking next door is very welcome as well. read more

Swing and a miss.... We had high hopes for this place. My wife ordered 12 oz ribeye well. Mine was the smoked ribeye medium rare. We each added a salad. We waited 15 minutes before we received our salad 2 minutes before our food came out. When the server brought the food, she dropped my wifes roll onto the table. She then grabbed it and put it back on her plate. She then realized she shouldn't have done that and asked if my wife wanted a new one. After that I cut into my steak which was cooked medium well.... My first time here and I drove 80 miles because people said the ribeyes were so good. First let me say that the service was exceptional and that was pretty much about it! Fried pickles were 90% fried coating and 10% pickle. The pickles were sliced so thin you could barely discern their flavor. My Bloody Mary was good. I ordered the ribeye and now I'm sorry I didn't get the reuben. I ordered it medium and it came well. Also, never saw pecan butter on a steak which was rather unusual but interesting. To me the steak was nothing special and something you would get from the grocery store. Maybe people love it because of the size but the quality was not there and the flavor was barely there. The gravy on the potatoes was tasteless and the vegetables were totally overdone. $30 for a very nondescript dinner unfortunately. Everything looked way better than it tasted it's too bad I couldn't have eaten the menu because the descriptions were to die for. One more thing.
