Ram Overhead Doors was the company my builder used in selecting/installing my garage doors on a new construction home in 2016. During the winter of 2022, I used Ram Overhead Doors to upgrade my garage door openers to a super quiet, wifi enabled, shaft drive garage door opener by LiftMaster. Appoximately six weeks ago I booked a repair job for my two car garage door due to a roommate who backed into it while it closing. They were booked out more than three weeks and only had three technicians who were extremely busy according to the female representative on the phone. One technician actually called me to see how bad the damage was and told me what I needed to do. Due to my schedule which involves international business travel, I booked out six weeks down the road for October 11, 2022. I thought it strange that the company did not call the day before or day of the appointment to confirm so I called them one hour prior to our appointment. The agent who answered the phone could not find me on the schedule and placed me on hold. Several minutes later the owner got on the phone and proceeded to tell me I had never booked an appointment because they do not book six weeks out. The owner went on for several minutes without letting me speak accepting no responsibility or blame for why a technician wasn't headed my way and that I never made an appointment. When I finally got a chance to speak, he cut me off almost immediately which enraged me. I stayed behind and built my travel schedule around this appointment because the door needed to be repaired. The owner hung up on me as soon as he knew I was not going to buy his denial of all responsibility. I called him right back and he hung up again without letting me tell my story once again. This owner and business are abysmal failures in customer service. I highly recommend you steer clear of Ram Overhead Doors and take your business elsewhere. Based upon the recommendation of a friend, I had RAM replace the two garage doors and openers in my townhouse about 5 years ago. They came out ahead of time, measured everything and told me exactly what areas in the garage needed to be cleared. They arrived on time and completed the job in about 5 hours. This included removing the two old doors and track systems, overhead mechanism etc. They left the area spotless. The doors have worked flawlessly for five years. Last night I changed the battery in one of the openers and this AM it wouldn't work--I drove over to their office without an appointment. They tested and adjusted the opener and it works like new. They also showed me how to reprogram it. I was in an out in less than ten minutes--and no charge! I would highly recommend these folks. read more

I never had a garage before, nor had service so I'm basing this off the conversation on the phone and the flexibility of the appointment and service provided. The place I moved into had the garage door replaced in the last couple of years, and when I moved in I was given a crappy, barely working door opener. Also, I looked through all the documentation and couldn't find the manual to reprogram the code in the keypad, to manually open and close it. I called and said I wanted new openers and the code changed in the machine, as well as in the manual control keypad (who knows if there is another controller floating out there from previous tenants). The service rep was cordial and said a serviceman could come out during my requested block of time, and that they would call 0.5 hour before arrival. Dude arrived on time, reprogrammed the door brain with a new code, and showed me how to reprogram the keypad. There is a $100 service fee, and a cost of $40 per opener. I chose 2; one for the home and one for the car, so $180. After the tech finished the reprogramming, he greased the door track, and checked other parts for soundness. I feel it was money well spent, but it could be my naivete and maybe I just bent over. All in all I would recommend. read more

I only gave one star because yelp won't let me make a review without one. This place is terrible. If you want a garage look elsewhere. We ordered our garage in July and put a $900 deposit down. Perfect, everything went well, they said they would install in the first week of September. Today is September 4th.... We called to check on it's status and they had not even ordered the doors. I talked to the owner and there was no apology given. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I usually don't post stuff on the internet, but these guys gave my wife and myself such good service under an almost emergency situation that I had to pass the word. It was 3:30 on a Fri afternoon and our garage door got stuck open at 7 below, we both panicked thinking our pipes would freeze. We called Ram and explained our situation and they went out of their way to have someone out there in 35 to 40 minutes, over course they could hear the panic in our voices. I thought for sure we would have to pay some big overtime cost, but it was a total relief and the serviceman was very professional. read more

My garage door came on my bumper, the door came out of the rails and wouldn't sit in the doorway right. I was afraid that my garage door would be partially open all weekend. I called two other door companies and they couldn't get anyone there til the following Monday. A friend of mine recommended Ram Services so I called them. Ram had a repair guy to my door in 1 hour and he was able to fix my door and get it working right, he adjusted the door opener so that it would work properly and reverse instead of hitting my car. I was impressed with their professionalism and would highly recommend them to anyone. read more
