Zero customer service score! They're doing your favor that they let you pay. There is nobody who can take your order only by automated machine, and if it doesn't work, "the lady" he's doing you a favor to come and "help you"

I bought a pass and customer service helped me with my transaction. I find Ralphs has semi small aisles; this Ralphs location has semi wide aisles, which I appreciated. Plenty of parking. The location always has an item I'm looking for. Alcohol selection is good. Bakery is very nice. Pharmacy and even key machine copier is in the store. I can get most of what I want from Ralphs.

Aisles--especially around the pharmacy--are routinely blocked or cluttered, so just getting through the store can be a hassle. Then there's the decision to lock up a large portion of the alcohol and spirits. I get the intent, but the execution is terrible. I'm not going to stand around waiting for someone to unlock a $5.99 bottle of triple-sec. Literally. --I'll just leave and buy it somewhere else. Which brings up the obvious problem: there's rarely anyone around to help anyway. If you're going to lock up everyday items, you need staff available. Otherwise, you're just creating friction and losing sales. The store overall feels overcrowded and poorly maintained, which only adds to the frustration. It's a pretty stark decline from what this location used to be. At this point, with Trader Joe's, Pavilions, Whole Foods, Gelson's, BevMo, and Costco all nearby, there's really no reason to deal with the hassle here

Parking is super easy and convenient. You just drive up the ramp, go through the gate (it opens automatically), and there's no ticket needed. You even get one hour free, which is a huge plus. There's plenty of parking both underground and at street level in the Citrus Commons complex. I'm a big fan of Trader Joe's in general and shop here every week. What makes this store special is the selection -- you can find so many unique products that you won't see in other grocery chains, including a lot of European-style foods. Some of our favorites are eggplant spread, sauerkraut, frozen sweet cheese pancakes (blinchiki), pork dumplings, and many other great items. Prices are reasonable (around average), especially considering the quality and uniqueness of the products. The staff here is incredibly friendly -- honestly, one of the nicest teams I've seen in any grocery store. The atmosphere is always welcoming, clean, and easy to navigate. Another great bonus: there are actually two Trader Joe's stores right across the street from each other on Riverside Drive. This newer location is bigger, brighter, and has even more variety. And if one store is out of something, you can simply check the other -- so convenient! Highly recommend this location -- we're lucky to have it here in Sherman Oaks!

I also did my grocery shopping to get it out the way. It is on the smaller side, now that I spent a little more time in there browsing, but able to get what I was looking for. The aisles are spacious which makes the store appear bigger but it ain't. I did my rounds pretty quickly and it wasn't crowded. Pretty stocked up otherwise. The only downside: the female cashier who checked me out yesterday did not bag items for me (other places they do it automatically) that was odd. She stood there as I bagged them. Haha ironically the cashier behind her had a buddy who was assisting in the bagging process with the cashier(short staffed? Or selective?)

I used to go to Gelson's two or three times a week and stock up on food from their deli. They used to have a good selection in their hot deli section. Recently, you're lucky if there are 3-4 hot choices. And if you get there anytime after 1:00 pm or so, everything is completely dried out and stuck to the pans. I went today... wanted some sliced turkey from the carving station. No more full turkeys. Can't get dark meat or a drumstick. They only do the white meat breast. and it doesn't slice or taste the same as from a whole turkey. The salad bar has dropped in quality as well. No more black and green Olives. The hearts of palm are gooey... carrots are dried out. It is terrible. You can't even get a rubber band to hold the flimsy container closed!! They used to make really good Chicken tenders and fried chicken. They've changed the recipe on both and they are awful now. If you don't get them fresh out of the fryer, they are inedible. The produce is still high quality but not worth price. And other staples will simply bankrupt you. I've been to a couple of other Gelson's in the area and they all suffer the same drop in quality. It is a shame. I used to be willing to shell out extra $$ for a higher quality product. In the words of Inspector Clouseau... Not anymure!
