Their selection of tinned fish is impressive -- high‑quality brands, great variety, and everything is displayed so thoughtfully that you can't help but browse a little longer. The French butter options are another highlight; rich, creamy, and absolutely worth the trip. The whole store feels refined yet welcoming. You can tell everything is chosen with intention, from pantry staples to specialty items. It's the kind of place that makes you excited to cook, explore new flavors, and treat yourself to premium ingredients. If you love gourmet products, Epicurus Gourmet is definitely worth visiting.

A family friend of ours owns a bakery, and he told us that this shop was his little secret. Since I…read morelove baking myself and am Japanese, I was excited to discover a place where I could find ingredients that are not always easy to get. On my last visit, I had to bring my two young children with me: my 1-year-old daughter and my 3-year-old son. I usually try to shop without them, but that day, I had no other choice. I was doing my best to keep them from touching anything, constantly reminding them to calm down and stay close to me. I am not the kind of mother who simply lets her children run wild and ignores their behavior. I was trying my best to manage them while getting my shopping done as quickly as possible. Of course, I understand that they are still very young. Anyone who has raised toddlers knows that, no matter how much you remind them to behave, keeping children this age perfectly still and quiet is not always easy. Usually, the staff at this shop approach customers to ask if they need any help, which I have always appreciated. I actually enjoy talking with the staff because I often learn something new from them. But this time, a staff member approached me and said, "Can you stop your kids from running?" I was honestly taken aback. It wasn't the fact that she asked me to stop them. I understand that this is a private, quiet shop, and I respect that. It was the way she approached me. There was no smile, no warmth, and no attempt to speak to me kindly. She simply looked annoyed. In that moment, I didn't feel like a customer who needed a little help managing her children. I felt like someone who was no longer welcome. At other beautiful businesses I have visited, people often smile at my children or make a small effort to engage with them. Those little gestures make such a difference to a mother who is already trying her best to keep everything under control. Instead, I felt embarrassed, guilty, and uncomfortable. I hadn't even finished my shopping, but I decided to leave. At the checkout, another staff member asked me, as they usually do, "Did you find everything you were looking for?" I replied, "I'll come back without the kids next time." Her response was simply, "Okay," accompanied by an eye roll, without even looking at me. That moment made me feel even more unwelcome. I want to be clear: I am not saying that children should be allowed to run around freely in every store. I am not expecting businesses to accommodate every family, and I am not trying to justify my children's behavior. I know that parents have a responsibility to teach their children how to behave in public, and I was actively trying to do exactly that. I also understand that this is a quiet, private shopping environment. However, there are no shopping carts or other facilities that make it easier to shop with young children, so I can see how this might not be the most child-friendly place. Perhaps it is simply better suited to customers who can shop without little ones or whose children are old enough to stay still. And that's okay. Not every business has to be child-friendly. But there is a difference between a place that isn't designed for children and a place that makes a mother feel unwelcome. What hurt me most wasn't being asked to stop my children from running. It was the lack of kindness in the way I was approached, especially when I was already doing my best. Motherhood is not always graceful. Sometimes you are trying to shop, keep two little humans safe, teach them boundaries, and make sure they aren't disturbing anyone, all at the same time. It can be exhausting, even when you are doing everything you can. A little patience or a kind approach would have made all the difference. I left feeling as though I had done something terribly wrong, when all I was trying to do was shop while taking care of my children. This is simply my personal experience. I respect the shop's atmosphere and its right to maintain a quiet environment, but I wish the staff had shown a little more consideration in how they communicated with me. I may return on my own one day, but I won't forget how I felt during this visit.

The produce and fruit prices here is unbeatable. They always have variety of things on sale specially their top sellers. Let's say cucumbers cost over $2.50 a pound in other markets and here it's almost always 99c a pound. Today I was surprised to see a 10 lbs bag of potatoes for $1.29 now that's crazy. Even though I don't buy non organic potatoes it's a great price for people that do. Apples 79c peaches 1.29 a pound which I stocked up on to freeze once they are ripe. I got bags of cherries for $1.29 a pound. Sweet and juicy cherries. I especially love the bulk section of dried fruits and nuts here. I always buy the dried fruits that are imported from Armenia such as sour plum, peach, apricots, pears and more. Love it They carry a wide selection of imported rice, legumes, pastas, olives etc.... Two isles of bread from pita to lavash to tortillas to ciabatta and more. The deli is amazing but I'm not crazy about the meat department. Customer service is average for a supermarket and finding parking here is always challenging. Overall a great place to shop for food specially for large families that want to save a bit of money.

I have been to Iranian/Persian markets, and they do not sell the type of food sold in Super King. But anyway, I only like their Lamb Chop products here. Their beef is ok, but their chicken taste kind of funny. I do not know what they feed them, but they taste gross. Parking is terrible here. People are very rude. Employees are friendly here, and its a fairly nice size store. They also have their liquor department separate from the foods. All in all, I just have no interest in ever coming here again.

It's a Friday…read moreafternoon and we weren't sure if Wat Thai temple had their food court open, so before running an errand at the Costco Business Center, we decided to stop by. Vendors were in their stalls preparing for the Saturday-Sunday event, but they weren't selling today. So bummed! We looked across the street and saw the sign for Pratunum. Unassuming, so I checked Yelp and asked hubby if we could stop by and see what they had since I've never been to a Thai market and wanted a seasoning packet to make Pad Krapow at home. So glad we stopped in! We received the friendliest greeting from (did he say his name was Tom?) and he couldn't have been more helpful! He didn't have the exact thing I wanted but told me where in East Hollywood I could find it.. and walked me to an aisle to show me alternatives. We had a lovely visit, talked about restaurants, he was telling me how hard it is to find Holy Basil for sale in the SFV but said it's easy to grow and gave me a snipping! I'm pretty excited to start a plant. The store is immaculate. The shelves are neat, and it's well lit. Their prices are so fair, too! I will most definitely return to visit again!

They probably only carry a handful of things or perhaps they were sold out of a lot of things for the holidays, not sure! There was maybe 1 worker up front and a few shoppers who seemed like regulars since they were chatting in Thai with the worker. This spot is located across the Thai Temple and has a very small parking lot. The lot also has a one way in, one way out and some of the spots are marked for certain businesses, especially the market! We picked up a few instant noodles that we still have yet to try but also grabbed some bottled refrigerated drinks. Basically everything here is Thai which was really cool since we rarely see and products from there! Can't wait to try the noodles, the coconut drink we tried was very good but also very much on the sweeter side, but worth trying! IG: @ammysalamii

I understand it is his job to be security, but following us around and being very disrespectful with attitude is taking it too far! Always assuming we are going to rob the store checking our personal shopping bags and not even asking to check our receipt first is crazy! He literally said in his own words, "You're lucky I didn't ask for your receipt!" Like that's so rude! He also doesn't hide that he is racially profiling us by the way he tries to speak to us to make sure we aren't robbing, in example he asked us if we have tamales or something along the line because we are Hispanic? Shouldn't he be guarding the front store instead of following us inside in the bread isle! We always pay our food here and never caused any trouble or even thinking about stealing here! We love this food4less and never had any trouble besides the security guard! After he checked our bags outside and we confronted him about it, he IMMEDIATELY went back inside to the store! Some cool 2 for 1 deals, including on a lot of things I enjoy #BulkBargainBuys I can tell the store is pretty busy during the day, but being upon until midnight each day, after 10pm is very smooth. Good customer service, friendly staff. Security does seem a little underwhelmed, also I get still going after 9PM. I couldn't figure out where and if this location sells tofu at all, not in any of the usual spots you'd find at most grocery stores, but most areas are very stocked up. Clean isles and plenty of room to navigate around. Would pop in again at night, seems like the best - just be mindful on the area.

The spicy tuna rolls are amazing. $10 and you get a very good amount of quality tuna in the roll for that price. Their overnight oats with Greek yogurt, chia seeds and fresh fruit are also amazing. -(They make for a good dessert after a sushi roll.) The Nigiri is good, but for the money you cannot beat the sushi rolls. They also have several other offerings in terms of salads, fruit, and Asian market specialty items. The staff is always friendly, you can have a fresh sushi roll made for you if you ask the sushi chef. Upon checking out, the staff is always friendly, offering utensils to go. I picked up a few items tonight, and one item missed the mark. * The Bad -- Hard Rice: The pickled pear baked salmon onigiri had a tough, dry texture. * Food : The package label showed the rice ball was already three days old. * High Price: It cost nearly $7 for stale food that I could not finish. Their prices are high. Head to the Valley's Japanese grocery store like Mitsuwa in Northridge for sushi or a Korean grocery store like Greenland Market in Van Nuys for prepared food made the same day at lower prices. The Good: * The spam musubi was made the same day and tasted fresh. * The butter mochi was delicious. Final Thoughts: I expected fresh food made that morning. Selling three-day-old rice balls at this price is unacceptable. I will not return because they sell items past their prime. I would not buy their sushi based on my experience as it might be old as well.
