This Ralph's store is nice. It's very clean, well stocked , and the produce and meat are very fresh. I love the deli too because they have a wonderful variety of really delicious sandwiches, cold cuts, and salads. I I love the hot food in the deli as well. My favorite are the spicy chicken wings and fried chicken. I love the pastries at the bakery, wonderful cheesecake and cheesecake bars. What I don't like about this store is the bad customer service. Many of the workers here act as if they have something better to do than help or serve you. I came yesterday to buy some wings for dinner at the deli. The girl acted like she was very annoyed to serve me. I just told her to give me a just little over a pound and she gave me attitude and unpleasantly and coldly said " I can only give you what's available." Why, I wasn't asking her to give me the whole steam tray! Just 1.5 pounds is all! And many of the cashiers too are lousy when it comes to service. Yesterday I went to a check stand with a female cashier who instead of paying attention to the next customer, she's busy texting on her phone. The Ralph's I usually go to in Carson has very nice employees who make the customers feel welcome and appreciated-the opposite of this particular branch. We kept driving by Ralphs... Not having one where we live, we finally decided to go in and check it out. The store is very spacious. Plenty of parking. It's a nice grocery store. We were impressed at the how extensive the tea section was. Stores neat and organized. Employees were friendly enough. Restrooms available in the back. Not all that clean though. It was hard to find items before, because this location of Ralph's was always out of stock on 20% of the items I needed. But now, they have completely reorganized (scrambled) the store. A 20 minute search for tomato paste eventually found it in the coffee and tea isle. Insane! I can't find what I need quickly, now. read more

This review is for my recent visit, during the corona pandemic. I'm proud to have this crew in my community. Responsibly, they are open providing a needed service, getting food to the public. Special early 7-730 hours for seniors, and head of the line preference for them. There's a line waiting to get in as they're not allowing the inside to get too crowded. Responsibly, someone outside is wiping down the carts before you grab one to get in line. As soon as you get in, you see others wiping down display cases, handles to refrigerators doors. Signs stating you can only buy one bread, milk, etc. To the entire crew, everyone from the bottom to the top, thank you. The only bad part of my experience was a customer screaming they don't have time to wait in line to get in. Of course this is no fault of the store staff and why I still say 5 stars. read more

Thank you to the Ralph's team (and their families) who are managing the chaos of the coronavirus panic. People are scared and I'm sure it is causing all of you anxiety. From the managers coordinating crowd control and shift schedules, the cashiers working diligently to get everyone out the door, those who stock the shelves and run the departments to the staff that helps bag and collects carts. I've worked retail when Black Friday wasn't online and can't imagine how much crazier this time is. Every day Ralph's remains open for us is because of you all. This has been my favorite store for a couple years now since the employees are always friendly and helpful and the aisles are organized and tidy but I'm really disappointed in Ralph's for not having even a single checkout line open. Not one. It's not the employees' fault since it's a scheduling issue that they have no control over- you can only assign the hours given to you in each department including front end- but I will definitely think twice before stopping here before work or in the evenings for one or two things for dinner. Even when there's a line open at non-peak hours, it's almost always *only* one line. It's not worth the wait, the effort, the sheer annoyance of being told by the Kroger company that my purchase is only important to them IF they don't have to actually *pay* people to ring me up. I'd rather give my money to Grocery Outlet or Mother's Market where I never have to wonder if there's going to be a checkout line open and I always leave smiling. I'll miss all my favorite cashiers here, but it's not like I'm seeing them anyway with no check out lines open, so.... read more

Definitely one of the larger Ralph's around which is nice, but the pickup orders are always late if you use those. They also seem to be priced higher than many stores. read more

There are almost always long lines here. Sometimes it's almost faster to drive the extra distance to the Ralphs on Del Amo. The self-checkout usually goes quickly, but it can only be used if you're not buying alcohol, which for me is rare. read more

Oh how I wish I could give this store five stars. But almost every time I shop there I see or hear something that makes me very uncomfortable. From fights and arguments in the parking lot to trash blowing all over, to panhandlers approaching me. There is a security guard visible most days, but offers no real protection. The fact that I feel I need protection makes me avoid shopping there most days. I go to the Ralphs over by the Del Amo mall. But it's not as convenient. And it very tight and small. Otherwise once I do go thru the doors, ( when I do shop there) I love the layout of this larger Ralph's and the nice wide isles. The variety of produce, deli and meats are really good. I've been to my local Ralph's as long as I've lived here we are 17+year residents of Torrance and also have a close friend who has worked there for a long time as well and never had an issue at this store before... my mother just got back from shopping there now, checked out at exactly 9:54 am at self checkout register 502! Now unfortunately my mom Was so humiliated by the staff running self checkout that she completely forgot to get Her name and she is lucky my mom is embarrassed to go back up there To get the apology she deserves, now my mother was checking out two bundles or set of placemats and napkins i will post pictures! Now my mom mistakenly scanned apples as bananas she canceled it and the person was called to help remove item then "person" continued to check item by item my mom had already scanned she sees the 8 piece pumpkin set and proceeds to ask " how many did u get? Did you tie these up together" when clearly the tags are on and they state how many of each it carries!!! I don't care if it's protocol to check there is ways you can approach a costumer and that wasn't the way!!! And yes i called and i spoke to Manager Stephanie and she said to come and point out employee so they can get a write up! How about retraining Stephanie!! read more

The only reason I gave this location 2 stars is because the little sushi bar in the front is really good, but checkout lines need to go clear down the aisles before the will open a third register. It's crazy. I used to think maybe there is just higher than normal customers and they weren't expecting the rush, but no, it's all the time. They never have enough registers open. I'm done giving this store the benefit of the doubt! The only reason I came to this location is because it's small enough to get through on my lunch break, but waiting in line for 20 minutes to check out is ridiculous. read more

Man I go here almost everyday. Some of the employees are pretty rude. They seem like they get annoyed with you because you asked a question or asked for help At the self check out. I tried to buy some items and I guess it was a new item or something and it wouldn't let me scan the item at the self check out. So I asked the lady to help me and she just sounded angry and upset that I don't know why it didn't work. Maybe they should put the item in the system before putting it out. I tried to purchase other items the machine said ask for assistance and again she seemed pretty annoyed. So I left and hopefully go to a regular line with a cashier and of course they only had two lines open which were full. (I had work in 10 minutes) so I finally reached the cashier. She asked me how much are these? Thinking to myself, why bother putting it out if it's not in the system or whatever. As for the Starbucks, it's nice to have one, but it's tough when they are busy as they only have around 1-3 employees working. One gentleman that works there is pretty rude. I've been shopping at this Ralph's for 20+ years, but I'm done... Over the last few months, the customer service here has gone down the toilet. I've talked to the management and voiced my opinion, to no avail. Granted, this problem is likely due to the pandemic, but I will no longer stand in a line that reaches half way down an aisle because they only have 2 check stands open. I understand it's tough to hire folks these days, but I just don't care. I'm going to Smart & Final now... plenty of check stands open, and only waited a few minutes while the only customer in line ahead of me was processed. I try to avoid this store when I can. It seems they are always short staffed. Never enough baggers, shopping carts empty, long lines at the few registers that are open. The parking lot is usually scattered with litter, they have far too many broken carts. Yet, it costs the same if I go to Albertsons who has far less of these issues. I went here with my kid and waited in line. I didn't have many items. I didn't wait long at all. The cashier was rude and asked me why I waited in his line for an hour and a half. I don't know if he was mentally ill or what, but he was arguing with me that I was in his line for an hour and a half when I wasn't even in the store for 45 minutes! Wow!! I'm pretty impressed with the new changes at this Ralphs Market! This is an older market that now looks as good as a higher end market like Gelson's. Parking is still a little hectic but tolerable. It's clean and very organized. You look across the aisles and their products on the shelves are all lined up. The floor is clean, in fact, I noticed one of their employees going through each aisle with a long swiping mop. Their produce looks fresher and I've even watched an employee spraying water on all the meat that's in the display case. They have mountains of items that are on sale every week. Usually advertised as 10 for 10, mix and match, but you can still receive the same deal if you purchase less than 10. Don't forget to use your rewards card for additional savings! Here's why I like this market: This market has two Redbox movie rental machines and two water machines right outside the market. Inside the the market, you'll find a Coinstar Machine you can dump all your loose change into dollars. They have a lottery scratch machine as well. There is a small area of floral items and they even sell occasional cards here, in case you don't have time to stop by a gift shop. You know we've all been there, waiting til the last minute to purchase a gift for that special someone. One of the biggest plus here is that there's a US Bank branch inside this market. Very convenient banking with longer hours and even open on the weekends! This is the best place to stock up on your alcoholic beverages! They give an additional 30% discount on wines and spirits of 6 or more purchases. You can definitely mix and match here, unlike Von's. I've done an overall price comparison with other markets and drug stores and I have to give it up to Ralph's for being top notch!! Same with beer. 30% off if you buy four six pack of beer, to which you can mix and match six packs. I'm not an alcoholic, I swear! I'm just a big bargain hunter! I love great deals!! My only negative experience with this place happened some time ago when I decided to pick up a few items before my hiking excursion. Make sure you don't bring your backpack in with you (I used it in lieu of a purse). Just carry your wallet or you'll end up being followed by the security guard that greeted you at the entrance. Sometimes the meat is a hit or miss too .Yesterday I was by the meat dept I heard an elderly asian lady asking the meat guy about some fish he was so rude to her I couldn't see the dude's face at all since I wasn't that close. Not only did he tell her "I can't understand one word you're saying."He seem angry when she asked about where the fish was from. I couldn't believe she didn't complain about him but I'm glad she decided not to take the product. In the last few months, the store recently completed an overhaul and remodeled the entire place. A little tricky to get used to (since I had memorized where all the aisles were), but otherwise looks great! Doesn't look dated any more, looks more modern. I'm a big fan of how all the cooled items are now in cases in the back (think the juices, dairy, etc). Not only does it look nice, I am guessing it really helps with conserving energy, which is great! If you're interested, they have a quaint little health station on the left side near the pharmacy where you can check out your BP, weight, and BMI. random, yet fairly useful to me! I had stop going to Ralph's because of crowds and inconsistent handling of covid best practices. I went in Saturday October 17,2020. No carts where available on east side. No one is wiping down carts. I actually heard personnel tell customers who where socially distancing in line as was laid out by markings on floor,that those where no longer used to line up anywhere. I love this Ralphs! It's much better than the Vons on Crenshaw. The aisles and products are well organized, and it's easy to find things you need. Pros: The produce section is on point. The veggies and fruits are freshly stocked most of the time. They have certain additional items, such as lemongrass, that you don't normally find at the other local stores. The Asian foods aisle is pretty large and has a great selection. Please keep on stocking and adding new items to this aisle! The self-checkout has a lot of machines and is never gets too crowded. Cons: The parking lot is a bit small and crowded. Wish they kept it a bit more clean and organized also. Please add Thai chilies to your produce options! Do not go to the Pharmacy. The pharmacist or pharmacy technician is rude and not helpful AT ALL. Due to covid-19, the doctor emailed me a prescription, and when taken to the pharmacy, I was told that they cannot fill the prescription because anyone can make it up even though it had the clinic's name, phone number, and doctor's name. I had the receptionist from the doctor's office call the pharmacy directly, and I was told that my number and my husband's number were left with the pharmacy. When I called to ask if the prescription was ready for pick-up and if I can give my number for her to look it up, the woman on the phone said that they couldn't do that and asked me, "Why? Don't you know your birthday?" Wow! I'm going to assume that she's overworked and tired, but that's not an excuse to treat patients who are merely being directed by their doctors to show the pharmacist an emailed prescription so poorly. It looks like their pharmacists and technicians need to go through sensitivity training, especially during this time. read more

There used to be a security guard standing at the entrance to count how many ppl in. But now is ruless. Masksless customer just goes in n out like there is no covid.
