I had to give a shoutout to ANTON in the seafood department. He fried fish for us and others with the biggest smile and a really welcoming presence. Also, I just learned that Ralphs will FRY your FISH for free, which is such a great perk. I had no idea and only discovered it by chance. They can fry shrimp, salmon, and tilapia at the very least. In for a midweek visit after 3:00 PM. Isles were pretty well stocked Prices on the other hand are a little higher than they should be in their sister store Food for Less on Sepulveda. Store has had a modern renovation and most of the lines are starting to be dedicated to the self checkout concept. I skipped that for the most part because I'm not being paid to check out and so should you maybe? Parking lot gets a little busy at times so you may have to park a little farther than you think. read more

Came in to this store to pick up a few vegetables. While walking past the meat section in the back of the store I saw disgusting brown beef reduced. This is the second time I've seen bad ground beef here. The first time I flagged down a butcher and his only comment was "that's why it's reduced". Today I talked to a store manager (Gabriel) and asked him if he would eat this meat. He said no. They why would anyone allow this spoiled meat to be out on the floor? I of course showed him the picture of the bad meat and told him it's my second time seeing this (I RARELY come to this store) and his only response was that it's store policy and they have to try and sell it before they throw it out. On December 5, 2025, I placed an online order in advance, meeting the required 24-hour notice, for a platter of pinwheels, a Boar's Head sub platter, and cookies. I received confirmation via email showing that the store accepted my order and it will be ready on 12/6/25 at 12:00pm. When I arrived to pick up the order on the scheduled date, I was informed that it had never been made. I spoke with the manager, Gabriel, who stated that they "never received" my online order. I showed him the confirmation email indicating otherwise, yet the only response I received was, "I'm sorry." I asked if the store could put together a replacement order really fast, and I was told it would take hours. There were no solutions offered only excuses. This experience was unacceptable. Due to this failure and the lack of effort to resolve the issue, I will not be ordering platters from this Ralphs location for any future events. read more

First offense, purchased a sandwich from the deli. Roast beef and cheddar to cheese. Infact when I bit into the sandwich it was American cheese. I can not eat American cheese so I spent the majority of my lunch replacing the sandwich. Come to find out, many of the sandwiches were mislabeled by cheeses AND meats. Spoke with the manger.So they could rectify the situation. It is food we are dealing with. Mislabeling is a big deal but no one was affected thank goodness. People make mistakes. Been going to this Ralph's since I moved in the neighborhood 9 years ago. Today i walked in for a few items and a couple of beers. I noticed the lines were very long and I had 5 items. So I asked the woman managing the self check out near the Starbucks if she could check me out since I had alcohol to buy. She was finishing up talking to another gentleman customer about what sounded like sports. Figured I'd wait and ask her so I did. She then rolled her eyes looked over at the lines then said ,"Fine." But that I had to stand on the other side of her. Which made no sense and since I'm not one for dealing with attitudes I just told her it was ok. I'll just go and wait. So I left and waited in the long line to purchase my 5 items. I never expect red carpet treatment anywhere I go. But I do expect people to do their job and what's entitled of it and not give attitude to the public. And now unfortunately because of that. I probably won't go back. The food is amazing especially Anton in the seafood department! Go on Friday and have him fry you up some fish! The service is amazing. My two favorite workers always treat us amazing and all of the other employees. I've never had a problem here. The inside is very nice and clean, their fruit and vegetables are fresh 90% of the time which I love! I saw another review saying bag boys just put stuff in your cart but they don't have people to bag for you. [Review #579] 2020 Yelp 100 Challenge (90/100) This particular Ralphs is almost walkable if we're not shopping for perishable items. It used to be open 24 hours. & was called Ralphs Marketplace with as much non-grocery items as edibles... I remembered buying a couple of inexpensive beach chairs years ago, though the chairs didn't last they were quite handy avoiding the hot sandy beaches. Since the transformation to a full service market, they had added banking options to serve their loyal patrons. I prefer this location not just for the (close) distance to my home, but for their exceptional & friendly service. Though infrequent, we had to make some exchanges with some grocery items & they were completed expediently without fuss. During the initial COVID-19 lockdown in spring, management strive to maintain their hours & service, provided special hours for the seniors, limited the number of customers, staff wiping down carts, which is much appreciated. What was hard for us initially is the scavenging & our shopping list was barely a quarter completed; we had to make multiple attempts to fulfill the list so there weren't any breaks between shopping. This location is normally well-stocked & clean. And they've been pretty consistent to making sure customers are wearing their masks properly but not so much with cart wipe down... at least there's a sufficient supply of disinfecting wipes to do it yourself. Cashier Abigail B needs better customer service skills! I do Instacart a lot at this store. I have NEVER had a cashier tell me to bag my own items! To start off, she didn't even greet me. I had to greet her first. She then was going very slow, and in the middle of bagging walks to customer service. After coming back she bagged a couple of my items then stopped. She started to help the next customer. I saw my food still sitting on the counter so I then asked "Can I get more bags?" Abigail B. then said "Oh they're right there you can grab them." Not wanting to cause a scene I start bagging the rest of my items. Then she ask the next customer in Spanish "Would they like bags" and starts bagging their items, and ringing them out. This shows very poor customer service skills! I have worked in customer service for many years, and have never experienced this! They refused to let me return defective items unless I waited in the normal check out lines which had at least 10 people in maybe three open check out lines that extended far into the checkout lines on a Friday afternoon. Remember the obnoxious commercial they used to run all the time boasting "Fast checkout at Ralph's?" I guess they had to stop running that since checkout lines at Ralph's have become absurdly long at all hours even for self checkout. read more

Shopped here many years but have noticed reduced staffing levels and shopping experience degradation the last 1-2 years. About 20% of the store is now walled off requiring you to wait in two payment lines if you want any items in this citadel. I now buy these items elsewhere. Typically buy a large amount of groceries per visit. Today not a single staffed checkout line was open, forcing everyone to use self checkout. Imagine the fun of scanning and/or looking up and weighing 65 items. Plus the machine froze up about five times requiring me to wait until a a friendly worker came over to reset it. After the second time they told me the machine would keep doing it periodically, and it did. Ralphs - If you are trying to go out of business you are making a decent effort. Almost every time that I've done the grocery store pickup I've had items missing and it's always an ordeal to get those missing items even though they charged me for them. I've also called the store on numerous occasions to have no one pickup when I call. It doesn't matter what times I call the phone just rings and rings and rings. I've decided to drive an additional 15 minutes to another Ralph's because this is RIDICULOUS. read more

The last 2 times I went to the pharmacy the female pharmacist was nicer than usual. Now I am not sure if this was the same one that I had issues with in the past- but I suspect it might be a different one. I swore to never return to this Ralph's after an uncomfortable incident with an aggressive outside sales guy set up in the store back in December. Well, I found myself here again and not only was there a table complete with annoying internet (?) salesmen harassing customers who were only there to buy groceries - but I also discover there's no express lane. I had 3 items and a choice between a line 6 people deep or a line with 1.5 people ahead of me - the woman just ahead of me had a cart loaded with over $250 worth of groceries. The right thing would've been for her to let me go ahead, but she did not. The actual right thing for Ralph's to do is open up an express lane! And enforce the limit! Either that or have the self checkout attendant checking IDs so people can purchase alcohol at self check. I don't expect stellar customer service anymore - those days are lonnnng gone - however I expect to be able to purchase 3 items within a reasonable amount of time! I've been to this Ralphs many times and have always had smooth experiences. I had to review and report this time because this last experience was so pleasant. I usually hate going into public restrooms, especially grocery store and fast food restrooms since they are always gross and disgusting. Knowing that, I braced myself for my visit to this restroom. To my surprise they ended having my kind of restroom!! It was spotless and smelled like it was just cleaned with bleach!!! This wasn't just a restroom trip, I came up on some delicious discounted meals so I can have food for lunch for the week!! These guys mess up our grocery pickup order like 1/4th of the time. 5 times now they have made us reschedule our pickup without telling us in advance. They claim to be calling the wrong number but the number is listed in the app correctly and we even had a manager make sure the number on file was correct the 3rd time they fucked up. They often leave out the receipt print out so we can't tell what is missing. I am just so sick of this "service". The GM needs to get off his ass and train his people properly. Ever since pickup become a free service, the service has been bad. Also, clean up your shit by the dumpster. There is always so much trash all over that area blowing all over the parking lot. read more

Torrance Food Crawl #228 I visited the deli area to order a "Signature Sandwich." The sandwich area is typical of other Ralphs markets. The menu sign is the standard Ralphs sandwich sign listing options that aren't available - I'm still seeking that ciabatta bread. There aren't any pre-defined sandwiches, you just select the options you want. The vegetables used for the sandwiches were covered when I got there so there is an effort to keep things as clean as possible. I went with the Deluxe Ham and the Muenster cheese. Both were sliced to order, neither are pre-sliced, which is a nice. With the marble rye bread and other options the sandwich ends up becoming a good sized sandwich. And a good tasting one. While in the deli area I saw there was a better than average selection of pre-prepared sushi and other Asian style foods. I selected a Tiny Octopus Salad just because it was so unusual to see that in an American supermarket. The octopus was decent but a little on the gummy side. The soy sauce with the octopus was sweetened with sorbitol and thickened with some other agent and helped add some taste to the octopus. I can't speak too much about this particular Ralphs in general as its a little off my normal supermarket shopping path but the sandwich area is pretty good. read more

I like coming here, it's always clean. Produce is always fresh. Good sales on steaks pretty frequently. Just wish they had more registers open. They always have extremely long wait times waiting in line for checkout. I've been waiting 8 minutes and I'm still waiting..... total wait time was about 14mins before my items were scanned. Only 2 cashiers were opened at the time. Will recommend this store just be aware of their long wait times at the register. read more
