I visited this Ralph's on Saturday night on 11/4/23 at 7:20 pm. The cashier was the night sales manager with a beard and dark hair. This guy needs to work on his manners and customer service. He didn't greet us and just slammed our items. I simply ask if he can check the prices and he was rudely aggressive and scanned the items and slammed them down the counter. Then he followed with do you want them or not. Total asshole. What customer would want anything from this person nor even want to shop here again. Can Ralph's at least find a decent human being to work in customer service. There are many other supermarkets that we can shop at. Never again! read more

These days places make it SO HARDDD to call somebody and speak to a human being and simply ask a question. It's like they want to get rid of human interaction all together. .....Of course this place is no exception. Tried to call a bunch of times since I'm extremelyyyy sick/contagious and I don't want to have to walk in the store. Shockingly it's impossible to get through. Just a robot recording directing my call and then silence followed by disconnection. I have nobody to help me.......so my contagious/ sick ass is about to walk all up in the store just to SEE if they have something in stock on the floor that's supposed to help my lungs clear up. Although Ralph's is pricey they are stocked in their meat & fruit-vegetable section as well as dairy etc.. Unfortunately, no cleaning products, paper products etc. Which is the norm for most if not all places. Over all staff is great, they are always cleaning. I gave a single star so that both customers and now management must be made aware of the carelessness of checkers and bag persons that continually fail to place all purchased items into customer's carts or bags. It's both frustrating and serious because the customer pays for it and then realizes after they have gone home and wonder. They check the receipt and realize that the items are missing. Do you go back and make your case? Is it worth going back for the careless or sometimes callousness of the store employees who think its a joke? Take a good read and consider this situation if you can afford to not get all your purchased items and exactly what is your limit before you decide it has to be confronted. Get your shoes on, get in the car, drive back to Ralph's, find parking, go inside... because these missing items are not unusual. Since COVID-19, my wife and I have been going to Ralph's instead of Von's across the street (they are frequented by undocumented workers buying adult canned beverages waiting at Home Depot. Our limit is $20 give or take a few. My wife stated that it's just like Ralph's to do this type of thing all over again. This time it was a few women's magazines, last time it was a few over-the-counter medications and the time before were a few double counted charged items. If you don't check and double check because you believe this particular Ralph's is good enough for you and you can afford their careless behavior and attitudes, then by all means be their customer. Otherwise, if you can't afford mistakes with your money, go elsewhere. read more

I was racially profiled in this store by their "front end manager" Lisa today. I had paid for my items right in front of her and I saw how closely she was looking at me the entire time. I just had gotten out of the gym, so I was wearing an oversized black tee and sweat shorts. Shortly after paying I had went to the floral area to pick up the arrangement for my daughter that I had paid for earlier with Rosa. I started to head out of the front when suddenly my cart was stuck and couldn't move ( I know that the carts have its sensors and will stop if taken to far, BUT THIS WAS RIGHT IN THE FRONT DOOR OF THE STORE). So I stopped and waited and here she came. Lisa asked "did you go to the check out stand and pay?" I replied "yes you were right behind me, I have my receipt would you like to see it?" As soon as she knew she made a costly mistake she quickly replied "no it's ok" and quickly headed back into her station. There were people walking in and out and watching this entire circus. I have been shopping at this Ralph's for 3 years ever since I moved from Chino Hills and not once have I experienced anything like today. I actually like this store over the one on Archibald and Riverside. Lisa was extremely unprofessional and was definitely racially profiling me. I will be calling HR because people like her do not deserve a job. read more

Very inconvenient to do grocery shopping esp if you're in a hurry. I was there around 9am with 20 items including fruits and vegetables. I approached a lady if they can open a register but she directed me to self service. I don't mind using self service if I have few items to scan w/o fruits and vegetables.I ended up using a lookup button to each one of them to search my items. It would have been a lot faster if they opened a register esp that I was not the only one who needed it. read more

Just visited the store to get some quick sandwich items for kids lunches this week. I wanted to get some fresh sliced Boarshead ham but did not. The meat slicers were absolutely filthy: dried up crumbles from meat and cheeses previously cut were visited by two or three flies, gross! I will visit Vonn's instead, its a little further down the road for me, but they keep their deli clean. This is by the eay not the first time i have witnessed the deli being filthy. Take some pride in your workplace, I am sure Boarshead will not be thrilled to know the conditions their meat is sold under. read more

Michael in the seafood area needs some retraining He ignored me for a total of 10 minutes. He was busy but he didn't even acknowledge me. I usually like Ralph's but Thursday was an awful experience. They also have their bathrooms locked up? Is Ralph's in the ghetto? If your going to lock it up. Clean it up at least. Update***. Self checkouts suck! When you have a full cart of groceries. Yesterday we ordered some produce items and did the grocery pick up at the curb, to avoid going in the store. Unfortunately, 3 of the items were rotted. Specifically, the broccoli, tomatoes, and part of the Persian cucumbers. We were told by the manager this morning that we could come in and have them replaced. We are so thankful for that! We called one more time, 10 minutes before the pick up slot and the female who answered was completely rude and unhelpful. We said we have a pick up slot between 3 and 4 pm and in mid sentence she cut off my mom and said ok we'll be right out. So my mom said, no I'm not there yet. To that the girl replied what are you calling about then? So my mom said, I just want to make sure that the cucumber replacement is in fact Persian cucumbers and not regular cucumbers. My mom has to repeat in plain English 3 times before the girl on the phone understood. And when she finally did, she said we only carry English cucumbers and regular cucumbers. So my mom responded, I've been buying them from your store. So then the girl said we'll deal with it when you get here and hung up. Sorry but we are called to make sure we don't make a trip and the order is wrong. The least she could have done was help us and she was not willing to. Not to mention, she didn't have her facts straight. This may seem like a tiny thing, but in a time like this when we are doing our best to stay safe and not interact too much with people, it would have been nice for her to check and if she didn't know the answer, she could have asked someone. People in customer service who are smug are such disappointments. On the flip side, every time I have done a grocery pick up and Omar is there, it's always a great experience. He's an amazing employee and his customer service leaves a lasting impression! read more

There were very long lines but hers seemed the shortest so we chose her. Im a cashier myself so I get it people are annoying sometimes. But every customer is a new customer. I don't mind doing this but when I'm in a hurry a teller would help and of course the machine failed and I wait for someone to come put a code in to clear it. *review about specific employee" I have lived in Eastvale for nearly 20 years now, before the Home Depot and everything around it was built. Through the years, shopping at random grocery stores would be an uneventful and disappointing trip when it comes to the employees and their service, except at the Ralphs here in Eastvale. The one employee that with out a doubt always has a smile on his face, greets every single person, and is overall an incredibly kind man. From his motivation/love for his job, to his extrovert personality that welcomes every resident in Eastvale, Leroy is hands down an amazing employee. It may sound odd and extremely random to have a connection with your local grocery store employee, but Leroy makes everyone feel as if they are at their home away from home, and this should surely be the motto for Ralphs. I want to applaud whoever hired Leroy, and personally thank him for being who you are. I hope someone from corporate can see this and give credit where it truly is deserved! I've always loved this store until yesterday. With all the other problems going on right now. A man we didn't know offered to buy the bacon the clerk said we couldn't get. "Geanne" proceeded to verbally assault this man. Telling him he should be ashamed of himself, that as an employee if Ralph's he should know better. I'm a senior citizen with a bad knee. These random acts of kindness are what we should see! Not the rudeness of some people. read more

Visited Ralphs last night to get a cart full of items. Found that only self checkout was available. A staffer said they are moving to all self checkout. I had an extremely difficult time using the small space of the self checkout for a full cart of items. I ended up leaving the many produce items as they were too difficult to ring up. If they only have self checkout, more space is needed, or they should not provide carts. The current self checkout stations dont support large quantities. read more

If two people are working the self check out, that's two people that could be working the regular check out and then the old ladies and my gimp butt wouldn't need to make a posting stating this supermarket is charging more for us to do their jobs when other charge less and don't make people bag their own groceries... Has anyone else other than myself noticed that their meat is always on the verge of being bad/rotten??? I always get my groceries at the beginning of each week and use it within that same week, so the meat I buy are always used within a very short period of time. They are kept in the freezer the whole entire time, but whenever I thaw them out, they end up smelling BAD! I have had to throw some away, but manage to salvage most. Still, I do not feel comfortable cooking something that doesn't smell fresh; even moreso, I am not comfortable throwing every semi-bad one away...what a waste that will be! I should be able to trust that the meat I buy from my neighborhood grocery store is fresh, and has a freezer life of more than 1 week. Ugh! And, to the meat dept. manager I encountered today who very casually said that you are all out of chicken because you didn't order enough for the Thanksgiving (?) festivities, I just want you to know that you handled the situation poorly. The store manager should pull you aside and have a chat with you about proper customer service. read more

Nonstop weight issues, no scanning gun, not enough room to fit my groceries on the counter, nonstop issue waiting for help. Now the regular lines are long. Only reason I shop at Ralph's is for the fuel points, I take my own bags to get the extra points. Ever since the self checkout they no longer open up registers and it's been a couple of times where I want to checkout at a register and there is no lines just a worker standing with their number register lights off and they direct me to the self checkout and I don't receive my extra bag points. The workers need to realize that some people only go for the fuel points. Also no everyone is tech savvy I stood behind a elderly couplet struggling to checkout and all the registers were closed this was on a Sunday morning... step it up Ralph's !!! read more

Been shopping here weekly for years. Prices are a bit high, but selection is great. Two or three weeks ago I came with my son, and noticed the plexi glass in the checkstand was cracked and tapped. As I was paying I head it cracking and started to fall. If I had not moved my arm out to block it, it would have hit my 5 year old son in the head! They dismantled it and apologized. Checker even made a comment I almost got free groceries for life! Not very funny but ok. Wasn't mad or upset I know things happen. Next week I noticed they moved it to a different checkstand, with more tape! How irresponsible and unsafe! read more

I go to this grocery store a lot. And usually never have annoying issues, but lately they put in self checkout, although they may be convenient, I actually hate them. An it seems lately they have been pushing customers to use them. I just had to refuse to use them twice. Me myself I'd rather wait in line and communicate with a person not a machine. Please employees if someone doesn't want to use them don't try to again force it on the customers. Some people just don't like them. read more

My review just has to do with the bakery. I love being able to read reviews about places and I felt compelled to share my great experience! I typically shop at Von's but I chose Ralph's bakery because they offered a better cake option for my son's third birthday party. I chose a cake out of their book and the bakery workers were so kind! I had my son with me as well as my one year old daughter. The cake looked amazing and tasted so delicious! I got a marble cake, cookies and cream filling, and a whipped cream frosting. I will definitely return here for our cakes for a long time! read more

I don't usually do these reviews but I honestly LOVE this Ralphs. I absolutely HATE going grocery shopping because I have 3 small babies (3,1, 8mo) and taking them anywhere alone is nerve wrecking and stressful. I decided to take them a few days ago because I'm learning to deal with my fears and literally every staff member was so kind to me and my boys. Greeting them and talking to them while I chose my groceries. Even while I paid, my 1yo was stepping away from me and the manager was keeping him busy while I paid. It's obviously not their job to take care of my kids but being so kind and helpful was an amazing gesture. read more
