I have shopped here for years and unfortunately it completely falling apart. They have taken out many of the checkout lines and placed self checkout lines. I think if I wanted to bag my own groceries and self checkout I would got to its sister company food for less. Recently I was in line and as the lady was checking me out I saw that my milk was not in the cart and there were some tortillas. Someone has swapped carts with me. I informed the lady and the bagger I needed to grab my milk, which was on the same isle. She said oh you need to pay or I'll suspend it and you can grab it and stand in line again. I said it will only take a second and she said no. So I paid so I didn't have to start that over and it literally took me 5 seconds to grab the milk jug. I had to stand in line again and start a new transaction. I asked who the manager was and it was the lady who originally checked me out. I believe her name was Monica. I had never seen her there before. I told her that it was really not ok that I had to stand in line again for my milk and it would've been nice just to allow me to go or the bagger to grab it and she said "yeah well sorry" . Pretty sad and unbelievable. They use to ask if you found everything ok and helped but now they don't even want to deal with you or be there themselves. Not even worth it anymore to go and pay the higher prices. Go to Costco or somewhere else where they are nice and helpful still. read more

No christmas spirit here. I was in line and the cashier says after 3 minutes of me waiting. "We are closed". I said "really you tell me thus when I got in line and your light was on." So she turned it off and stared at me. The people in front of me looked weird but I was wearing a mask. I guess because covid is bad there are no one can use the old "closed " signs like the old days for the coarser belts. Then i have to go to the self check where there is suppose to he no covid but no one is cleaning the area. I guess covid isn't at the self check but in the line I was in originally. So weird, but its 2020 so anything goes . didn't get my stamps. Will go somewhere else now.hopefully the spirit of Christmas is somewhere tonight. read more

Worst grocery store ever. Severely under stocked on stuff like pasta, cereal, meat in the middle of the day. Seemingly untrained employees in two different aisles blocked a bunch of shoppers because they were going back and forth grabbing stuff from shelves like they didn't know what they were doing. And when I went to the deli counter the employee was EATING SLICES OF MEAT FROM THE SLICER and told me one of the products wasn't available when I saw as I was leaving that it was. Have shopped here for years purely out of convenience of the location. Check out clerks (specifically the male staff) are rude as a way of life, regularly look annoyed that you have stepped into line, take pride in crushing as many fragile items as possible, and enjoy making sure you are aware you are invisible as they carry on conversations with other workers, even if that means yelling over their shoulder while close enough to be screaming to those of us at check out. Stock is always low and produce quality is sad. Bag clerks are always nice but the rest of the staff has finally ruined my convenient local store. read more

I go to Ralphs because their organic produce department is usually better than other supermarkets. This particular store, however, is one of the worst for removing outdated items from their shelves. I went to stock up on chocolate flavored soy milk today and 5 of the 6 in the refrigerated section were past the date on the containers. I've often run into this issue with canned goods as well. Like I said to start,I come for the organic produce. It would be great if I could always get the other things on my shopping list too! read more

I bought a lottery scratcher from their lotto machine and it won $200. They refused to cash the ticket. There was no manager in the front of the store, and the "employee" refused to let me speak to the manager. He said they didnt have enough money to cash the ticket, and wouldn't let me talk to the manager about it. If they "didn't have enough money" to cash a $200 winning scratcher ticket, I feel sorry for the customers in the store trying to get cash back on their purchases. This employee has to be retrained, or a district manager above this store has to get involved. Seriously, who designed the storefront? Why would a designer put lives at risk like this? Exiting the store, for protection, you have to shove your shopping cart into road to check to see if any cars are coming! I'd be completely shocked to find out no ones been injured. This Ralphs has been the most stocked grocery store I have been to since COVID-19, they have almost everything I need. I really appreciate the employees and managers being super helpful during the situation. Okay, I used to LOVE this Ralph's but lately it's just been lacking. The aisles look kind of messy and the last few times I've gone, there wasn't a bagger. The cashier had to bag the groceries. Now, I know their prices are higher than say Food for Less, but I go there because they bag my groceries and put them in the cart for me. Usually, there are only two lines open and so there is always a long wait. (I don't do self check out-my choice). It just doesn't look as clean and neat as it used to look. I wouldn't be surprised if they closed this location. read more

This is the closest grocery store to my home, so it is sad that I rarely shop here. Produce is fair to poor quality but usually much higher priced compared to other local options. Huge selection of highly processed-highly packaged foods, but I rarely buy this kind of stuff. Checkout staff is often pretty snarky. I have never heard "Have a nice day" said with such venom! Best part: several months ago I called to complain about a particularly surly checkout chick and the manager I complained to agreed with me and then the manager when on and started complaining to ME about Ralph's Corporate! I am looking forward to the day when this great location is bought out and we try out luck with the next corporate owner. read more

A very different experience with the Starbucks staff in the store, but they're only affiliated in that way so I'll leave that out of this review. I went In November 5 at about 6:45 am. I went to get my daughter a gift card, a balloon and flowers. I paid for the balloon and gift card at self checkout but the flowers wouldn't scan. I went to go grab a cupcake with everything in my hand but the cupcakes didn't look good so I went to pay for the flowers with a cashier. I explained to him that I paid for my stuff but I couldn't scan the flowers so just needed to pay for them and he said okay. Tell me why I go get a coffee at Starbucks and some lady comes up to me and says would you like to pay for your balloon or something like that. I was like what I paid for it would you like to see my receipt she goes yes. I show her both receipts and she's like you didn't pay for the ballon I said yes I did look. She's like oh okay. Are you kidding me what a moron to accuse me of stealing check the footage before you accuse me. I could of stole the flowers you nasty lady but I went to pay for them. I bought a 200 dollar gift card why would I steal a 10 dollar balloon for my daughter. Oh here you go daughter happy birthday I stole this balloon at Ralph's for you. If I really wanted to steal I wouldn't of stopped for coffee I would of ran . All I am saying is use your brain before you accuse me you ugly lady and still had the audacity to look at my receipt and continue to accuse me. I usually go grocery shopping at night when it's less crowded but today I went right after work and I regret it. So many customers roaming around with no masks and one woman was wearing a face shield but no mask and did her entire shopping just coughing on everything! No, not like a small cough like when you choke on your spit but she was clearly sick. None of the staff even bothered to look at her even though they could hear her. She was right near all the check out lines coughing on bottles of wine. Since my neighborhood Ralphs closed, I have been going to this location. Most of the time all the employees are very nice and courteous. They speak and acknowledge me. But one employee who works the check-out area early morning is very rude. I did a self check-out this morning, and could not complete the purchase because of an object obstructed the swipe of my debit card. So I went to another self check-out, completed my purchase and proceeded to walk to my car. She ran out of the store yelling at me that I stole the items from the store. Her tone and attitude was not necessary. I showed her my receipt, and explained to her the difficulty with the machine. She did not apologize. And she did not change her tone with me. I understand the misunderstanding. But this incident could have been solved differently. A manager needs to talk to her about how she talks to people, her tone, and her disrespect. For someone who works with the public, she needs to work on her people skills. If she can not talk to people correctly, she should not work with customers. read more

IE: if the deal is 2 for $10 most of the time you MUST buy 2 to get the deal. At Vons often times they will have the same signs, but, you can just buy one for $5 also. read more

I do most shopping before work (before 7AM) and they never have a cashier to ring you up. You HAVE to use self check out. This morning, there were 8 self check out stations and only two were working, so there was a line. There was an employee (lady) standing there telling everyone only two were working. When I asked if someone could open a register and ring us up, she said no one was available in the mornings. They only have self check out. Well, why couldn't she do it?????? That would make her more useful than standing there telling everyone only two machines were working. Management, WAKE UP!!!!!! You are going to lose customers. I left my groceries and walked out. I enjoy shopping at this location of Ralph's. Staff is helpful and friendly. It's usually always clean. Shelves are always stocked and faced properly. I rarely find an expired item, rarely, but on occasion it happens. They always have great deals and sales. The meat section is always stocked up with fresh selections. Produce is always being restocked which is nice. Small section of cookies compared to candy but that is personal preference. Parking is not bad. Customers are nice for the most part. read more

I went to Ralph's on Friday, 10/02/2020 around 4:45pm with my husband. We are an African American couple and I frequent this Ralph's often. I accessed a couple of digital coupons on the app to use for Haagen daaz mini ice cream pints and the simple truth almond milk ice cream pints. I've never used digital coupons before. Upon Jimmy, the sales manager who happens to be an older white male, scanning our food, I ask him about the digital coupons because I didn't know exactly how they worked. He rudely responds to me and says something to the affect of "you will get your discount after all of the items have been added" .. I'm taken a back. I've NEVER had this kind of treatment from anyone there. And of course, once all of our items were scanned, the damn digital coupons didn't work. He proceeds to look in the sales paper and then says "one second" .. he left to I guess get some sort of override code and comes back. Says nothing. Prints out our receipt and says nothing. No bye, no NOTHING. The person behind us who wasn't black got a very polite greeting: a hello, how are you, do you have your Ralph's card, etc. WTF?!? I'm not one to be sensitive to these types of situations but really? Jimmy was very rude and his behavior should not be tolerated at that store or any store. I felt very disappointed with his behavior and his treatment towards my husband and I. Very sad read more

I really want to like this store. It's close, it's clean and the employees are nice enough. However, the placement of some items makes it impossible for some to shop there. The 10lb bags of cat litter are on the highest shelves (above head level) making them both difficult and hazardous to reach and the cans of cat food are on the absolute lowest shelves, requiring extreme bending and or kneeling. When these concerns have been expressed, multiple times, to both employees and managers, I'm told there's nothing that can be done and that companies pay more to have their items located on the most central shelves. I prefer to shop at a store where I feel valued as a customer and items are located in areas that make sense rather than cents. read more

Used to be 5/5, but over the past year, it's been a bit neglected. When it was newly remodeled a couple years ago, it was amazing! Huge aisles, amazing inventory, expanded everything, and a huge selection of organic items in every section. I was uber impressed and though the inventory remains the same, the store itself has gone a bit downhill. It's a little dirtier lately and the employees are getting lazy. I think management has changed. No other reason for these shifts in quality. At any rate, I came here tonight after a double session of heavy lifting and I needed to stock up on yogurt and cottage cheese. Everything was well stocked and fully set with all labels facing forward in an incredibly uniform fashion. Being Type A OCD, I notice and love things like that. I got my dairy and protein and added some banana chips and a bottle of whiteout and I was done. My only serious complaint about this place would be that there are never enough registers open. I always wait for a ridiculous amount of time to check out. Average waiting time is 15 minutes roughly. Should be less in my humble opinion. Deli is huge with great selection and fresh bakery items down the way. Coffee and salad bar also added in the remodel, though I wouldn't recommend getting anything from the salad bar since every time I look at it, the produce seems old and dried. I'd much prefer to fresh produce on the other side of the store. Overall, a great store. I do hope that management takes its head out of its butt and makes this store what it was when it first re-opened. read more

When I lived in San Diego, I avoided Ralph's because they never had any of the healthier items. But since I moved to Cypress, I go to this Ralph's all the time! It has a much healthier selection compared to the other Ralph's that I have been to! It can't fully replace Sprouts, Trader Joe's, or other health food stores, but it's better than the other big grocery stores, and also cheaper with some products than some health food stores. read more

I always get pasture raised no antibiotics ever eggs and recently started seeing them in this ralphs, much more affordable than the same ones at sprouts. I was also excited to see that they had the Epic Pork rinds now, as well as the baked ones with 40% less fat. read more

Most store are now filling customers reusable bags. Ralphs does not. If the concern is contamination, then why are checkers/cashiers and baggers touching food and other goods that are potentially being touched by hundreds of people? This is a stupid policy that makes no sense at all. The company is not protecting their employees, they are just making their customers do the employees work. This has been my main food shopping store for quite a while. I am so glad they lowered their prices, now I like it even more. Really enjoy the cashiers there although I like using the self checkout when I only have a few things. Their beer selection really improved in the past year or so, with more craft brews. Their meat department is good and I like the managers specials and have ordered non-stock cuts and items very easily. When they have sales and weekly deals in the flyer I usually stock up. The store is easy to get in and out and I really like the deli counter. Their fried chicken is two thumbs up good and less expensive than drive-thru fried chicken. read more

We moved to the area back in January, my home store use to be the Ralph's on Cherry & Carson. I don't do change well, but the employees at each store have made the move that much easier. Though they don't carry the exact same products, I've been able to find similar ones at a better price. The people here are generally nice. The women managers are especially nice and very kind. I just have one beef. Every time I shop in the floral dept I can't find prices on anything.
