The deli is the absolute worst. The women their act like you are imposing on them. They barely acknowledge you and take their sweet time to help. They could care less how long you wait. Location it is my Go To grocery store. Same experience as previous MT review on their website ... the FRONT End MANAGER is EXTREMELY HATEFUL & impolite...nasty, lacks any customer or people skills. I've witnessed her rudeness & combative demeanor on prior shopping trips...however when it is directed at you it is beyond horrible. Beware of the big bitter messy blonde who clearly dispises customers & loathes her job...no matter how kind you are toward her. How she became a Manager is beyond comprehension. No one needs to shop to get extremely abused when using the Ralphs Digital coupon App. She was frustrated she couldn't figure out how to get the price via the app. I told her that's ok as two other store staff could not get it to apply on previous visits. It was fine, I don't need the discount. She was very ugly saying the self check attendants don't know anything etc. I said it's ok, as she was assaulting me with her incessant verbal barbs... thankfully no line behind me. My daughter came over from self check out to inquire what was taking so long. I said I'm trying to tell her I don't need the discount as it is taking too long. Then the rude ness continued with here you go... enjoy that Asparagus (nasty sarcasm)...I just put the price in manually... she kept rattling on and I got my bags of groceries and walked away from the crazy FRONT END MANAGER that looked mean & insane. However, they made sure to have a person standing by the self-checkout trying to get people to do their own work. This is the worst site of any Ralph's I ever visited. I had so many upsetting encounters there with their staff that I should not be surprised anymore. They're the only market close enough for a quick run to pick up groceries, but I'm not stepping into that place ever again. Even last night, there was an old woman supervising the self checking area. She's loud and rude. I asked her a question and she made fun of me laughing very loud in front of many other people. She noticed that I did not laugh, but she carried on and continued to talk to me in a very condescending manner. I am 70 years old and I do not need this from a grocery worker. The staff is rude in general. If you do not want to have these types of encounters, go somewhere else! I know I will!!! With everything that is going on these days, the least we need is to deal with supermarket workers being nasty! read more

I've been coming to this store for years because it's closest to my house. I will not spend another penny at this Ralph's. I'd rather drive out of my way, even with the cost of gas prices, to a Ralph's where customers are at least treated with decency. I don't even care about 'superb customer service,' just as long as you're not as wretched as clerk Mary J, who thought it appropriate to try to scold my mother for not greeting her as enthusiastically as she thought was necessary, and then proceed to talk about my mother to other customers!! What?! The manager Jason doesn't care about the clerks conduct, only that my mom said a few curse words on her way out. That's a no-no, but his clerk trying to humiliate a customer is acceptable? This was my favorite grocery store ever! I moved about 4 miles away, a couple of years ago. Missed Ralph's and all the people that worked there. I sanitized the handles of my cart and while waiting for it to dry, like 3-6 couples/families+kids waltzed past me with no sanitizing at all. I think if germs were more rampant and lifethreatening and visible, people might pay more attention and stop passing their germs around and leaving them behind on handles as presents for other people which contributes to how some diseases stay prevalent in an area forever cuz it keeps getting dropped off in public places and passed around like the community bicycle. Normally, I really like Ralph's Fresh Fares... however this one is just sub-par. I expect to pay more when I go to a fresh fare Ralph's, but I also expect more quality products and a better overall shopping experience. I'm OK with paying more if it's worth it. So here's why it gets 2nd stars: The produce selection is terrible, you have to spend forever picking through it. I thought it was supposed to be better at fresh fare? Not only is the beer selection awful, but it is insanely expensive!!! Overall poor item selection. The ONLY good things about this place is the floral department, it's almost like it's own flower shop. Also, the boars head stuff is a big positive. However, my roommate did get a full chicken from the deli and it had 3 wings... I literally live across the street and drive to Pavillions instead. I only go here when I am desperately short on time!! MY GO-TO DISH: Anything Boar's Head! But I'd stay away from the 3-winged chickens!! read more

This Is my local Ralph's and I love shopping here except my review is for the BAKERY: I am so tired of trying to get a simple order for a cake here and never ever being accommodated... almost every time I try to place an order I'm told to come back or call back later and if I do get a hold of someone they always refuse to take the order or say they cannot make the cake! I have put in orders before went to pick them up only to find out that the cake was not even made!!!! I then had to drive to another Ralph's in placentia where they accommodated me immediately, made my cake the same day, and REFUSED to let me pay for it when it wasn't even their mistake!!!! Clean grocery store in an upscale shopping center. However, for the last 14 months, I have asked the meat/seafood department if their fryer was working. For those who don't know, they have a commercial sized fryer and giant blue banners stating that they will fry your fish for you. I have asked about 7 different times during these 14 months and every single time, they state the fryer doesn't work. Either that department is too lazy to clean the fryer and lie about it or this location has failed to give a little spending money to get this fixed... either way, this is a fail. read more

FREE BREAD TODAY! After a hike in Lake Forest last week, we stopped at Ralph's Grocery Store to use their facilities. I was checking their DAY-OLD BREAD and found this JALAPEÑO AND CHEESE BREAD, it was thinly sliced and I froze it. Well, it was delicious! Today, I called the Bakery at Ralph's in Anaheim Hills (3 Stars) and the woman said: "I think there are no more, they are really popular." She didn't offer to look for me and told me to call tomorrow. I called the Ralph's in Villa Park (4 Stars) and Essie was so helpful, she went to look, found two, offered to put one away for me. I decided to call Phillip, the Manager in AH, told him the story and he was so upset, said he would personally go look, found one and said you could have it for FREE. He said it looked so good, he wanted to keep it. I went to pick it up and he had it right there, waiting for me! WOW, I'm IMPRESSED AND FEEL SO GRATEFUL! read more

I arrived at the deli counter around 8:40pm last night on 5/4/22 to get some hard salami, chipolet chicken, and deluxe roast beef. There were 2 people ahead of me and one after me. I waited for my turn to place the orders. After my orders were placed, I walked around the produce areas to wait for my orders ready. I returned to the deli counter after 10minutes and patiently continued waiting for my orders. The person, who placed her order after me earlier, was also there waiting for her order. However, she got her order ready before me. This is not acceptable. In my opinion, everybody needs to wait for his/her turn. I request that Ralphs needs to retrain their employees about Customer Service skills. read more

We come to this store because we love the quality, selection, and the fact that it's down the street from us. I love that they have a Starbucks in store, Redbox, fresh deli, and veggies. We have bought the majority of our groceries here, and love that with Ralphs you can upload coupons directly to your card from their website. I love the butcher as well, I do, however, wish they'd have more varieties of marinated meats and new things to try. I love getting the kabobs, and marinated carne asada. After calling all of my more local grocery stores and being rejected for a colossal cookie I needed personalized short notice, Angel, in the bakery department was more than happy to help me. She was able to offer me the Valentine's alternative instead of their everyday cookies because the baker was no longer in, and personalized it perfectly. Thank you, Angel! read more

Usually when I come to a grocery store, I judge things by my senses and let me tell you...I feel like there's a disturbance in the force. It's usually hit and miss here. The hit usually is when there are rare moments that you can find a deal and the miss is when I've come to the store needing cusomer service and realized Oh wait...no customer service. In fact, if it remotely looked like I was going to ask one of the people who worked there a question they seemed to avoid you to the point where you're chasing them for an answer. But then again, that is the reason why I end up scanning my own items and leaving swiftly so I don't have to bother with these people. The only customer service that was good here was from a contractor who didn't even work there! He was filing away some bread and I was looking for some damned spice and he helped me kindly. So that extra star is a thank you for hiring contractors who were much more useful than the regular employees. Let's put it this way, I'd rather go to Albertsons or another Ralphs in another city than go to this place that's a hop, skip, and jump away from where I live. This has been my favorite and go-to store for the last decade and I love their deals; however, I can no longer trust the freshness of produce at this location. For the last few years, I've seen a lot of inconsistency with the freshness of produce; primarily with the fruit being sold. I have purchased too many containers that look good on the outside, only to open the package and find rotten and/or moldy item(s) included in the bunch. I have had repeat issues specifically with the watermelon and packages of strawberries and cherry tomatoes. I would love to be able to trust this location and hope that one day I will be able to trust their produce selection again, but for now I am going to have to find a new store to fulfill my produce needs until this can be corrected because intentionally selling rotten products is unacceptable. read more

The time sticker shows a smear of where the earlier fresh from time is. So now they are erasing the actual time it was fresh and remarking it showing a later time. We ordered and picked up 2 sandwich and 2 vegetable platters yesterday. They looked great and were ready on time. We were happy. First problem the dip was sour so we used ranch dressing. 2nd problem was sandwiches lack of meat was put on very chewy and stale rolls. Did not know this until we were ready to use. Typically I have never been one to shop at Ralph's due to the highly marked prices for groceries, however, my sister recently got engaged and I was in desperate need of a surprise engagement cake to wish her and her fiancé a grand congratulations! Initially I had wanted to go to ABC cakes on Tustin where I had gotten many cakes before; unfortunately without any foreknowledge, they were out of business, and I was faced with the dilemma of where to order such a special cake from. Rather then search for another bakery, my mom had given me the idea of ordering a cake from the Ralph's bakery. She had told me how she had ordered delicious cakes many times from one near her job before, so I should give it a go at the one nearest us on Savi Ranch Rd. Despite my hesitance, I took her advice and placed an order over 24 hours in advance as advised by the bakery department employees. My order was simple: 1/4 chocolate sheet cake with raspberry filling, white butter cream frosting, red roses in one corner, and black lettering that read Congratulations (insert names here). Disregarding my gut feeling that something may go wrong, I paid for the cake in advance and expected it to be done by Saturday, the 27th of August. The morning of the festivities, I received a call around 9 from the bakery's manager Patricia informing me that they had ran out of chocolate cake and could not fulfill my order as placed over 24 hours in advance! How do you run out of chocolate cake is my first question, my second being, why offer the option if you're not going to have it, and third, how do you run out of the ingredients in a super market full of them?! I was upset but agreed to another cake flavor due to no other alternative at such last minute. Not even 10 minutes after getting off the phone with the manager Patricia, I decided to call back and cancel my order because it was not exactly as I had wanted for such an important occasion. I was on hold for over 10 minutes, and called on three separate occasions, each time no one had picked up. I decided it was best to go in person to cancel my order, and when I had arrived she was supposedly on lunch... at 9:30 in the morning! How convenient, considering the past two times I've visited the bakery department in the past two days, she was on lunch both occasions. I was only remotely okay because I had received a refund in full, and far better quick and efficient service last minute at Pavilions! Let this be a lesson for myself and anyone else willing to waste their time and money at such a poorly run department. Do yourself the favor and place your order at Pavilions near by and visit Liza, she's such a life saver and sweetheart! read more

Your brightly lit aisles are the perfect place to read a magazine, but wait there's someone watching me. I make a pass into the international food aisle and pick up a bottle of Thai Kitchen Yellow Curry. I feel weary eyes spying on me. I rush to the dairy section for some non-dairy creamer. Which flavor do I get hazelnut, French vanilla, caramel, or pumpkin spice? I grab them all impulsively. Finally a delicious whole-roasted chicken for dinner. These birds are perfectly moist. I see someone walking towards me. Noooooo! "Sir, you dropped your coupons." The middle-aged woman insisted. "Thanks." I made my way to the self check-out. There are four and all are always working and usually there are few people brave enough to use them. I leave with coupons and groceries in hand. read more
