This is very much like any other Ralph's I've been to. The store is clean and well stocked. There are usually plenty of registers open so no long wait to check out. They also offer self checkout. I love this Ralphs for the simple fact that the staff don't need supervision. Let me explain; I've been in here many times throughout the day on many occasions. Each and every time, managers have been standing around- jaw jacking with one another. All the while, the crew there just keep pressing on, giving excellent service. In December, I had to return something that needed manager approval. The store manager and district manager were about 15 feet away, talking about something funny. My cashier called over the PA for manager assistance 6 times. 6 times! I can't imagine what it's like in there when it gets busy. All in all, I like this place and I'll keep shopping here. read more

This Ralph's location is one of the better locations I have been in. The setup is spacious, the shelves are typically always stocked and the cashiers are pretty friendly. Ralph's can be on the more expensive side or the cheaper side depending on the products you are looking to buy but often runs great specials on energy drinks and produce. The parking lot is big but you due tend to get a lot of panhandlers at this location which is one minor flaw. If this Ralph'shad the full sized deli section that some of the others had it would be even better but I guess we cant have everything at one location. All in all a decent store, reasonably priced and offers good deals. Make sure you are a Ralph's rewards member to save even more. read more

I like this Ralphs and the people who work here. They don't give me dirty looks when I try to use a coupon, and almost everyone who works here is helpful and nice. I even see some of the favorites from the old Ralph's on Lincoln and Gilbert. It's a nice place to shop. What I don't like is the the group of shady people who hang out near here. You have to be on high alert at night, and I just never really feel safe. Perhaps that is because some dude followed me in here one day and almost attacked me and my 3 year old or something. Last night may have been the last time I went into the Ralph's on Brookhurst in Anaheim where I was a loyal customer for a long time. I have a health condition where I have to have the kind of oatmeal labeled "gluten-free." They were out. I asked one clerk about gluten-free oatmeal, and he mansplained, "all oatmeal is gluten-free." I thought I saw some on a top shelf. I asked for help. It took five minutes to get someone to get the item I wanted off the top shelf--and it wasn't the gluten-free oatmeal I thought it was. They were entirely out. One clerk I asked for help, he didn't practice social distancing, he made excuses about his disability (rather than, say, getting a step stool) and disappeared. The second clerk, the one that showed up five minutes later (I timed it), didn't practice social distancing either. This is Anaheim, one of the biggest COVID hot spots in the county, and this is a grocery store, where clerks are in constant contact w/ the public, and TWO clerks can't keep six feet away. They acted like dogs, or stalkers. When I did get two things I wanted and got to the check-out, I complained about there was still no gluten-free oatmeal, that I'd been in a few days before and it wasn't there either, and the clerk didn't apologize or offer assistance, just mansplained about "whatever the warehouse sends us" and "if it's not on the shelf, we don't have it." Then he refused to give me change when I gave him a $20 bill! I wasn't sure of the total sum I owed, but I think it was $6.38 or $6.48, something like that. I asked him for the exact amount I owed, and he refused to tell me. I told him to forget the order and give me my $20 back. He refused. I took the $20 away from him and walked out of the store. read more

This was my store when I lived nearby. I have to agree with the comments about shady people who hang out in that shopping center. Also, I think some of the kids "selling candy" or whatnot are just kids scamming to make some money, otherwise they would not be so aggressive. The store itself is nice, and I hope that the management will step up efforts to get rid of the annoyances outside the store to make it easier to shop there. read more

Always clean. Well organized. But the deli department is so unsanitary that I cannot eat from the deli anymore. Customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes if it's during the day time Monday-Friday when all the managers are on site everyone's in a good mood but don't try to come at 9:00pm and get the same service. Employees touching their hats then food is awful. Hard to watch. Food in steam table has been sitting for at least 4-6hrs. Ie mac n cheese, corn, potato wedges that were like rocks. A snarky cocky young man behind the counter snapping his fingers at his coworker and saying rude things to him. He said to me "he's new so he's still stupid" "I'll show him how to operate". Not a good experience. But hay Jim Beam was only $9.95 a bottle. You could say I stocked up. read more

I normally don't have any issues at this store but when I see a manager that is being rood and nasty with her employees I must say something. Maybe her corporate people will see this. The managers name is Marisol and well in the 5 minutes I was waiting in line to pay I observed her talking really rood to one of the girls that do the bagging. Not only that when the girl left the area she continued to talk bad about her with another cashier. I think her behavior as an (acting manager) is completely uncalled for and I'm pretty sure Ralph's does not put up with that type of behavior. Completely un acceptable and I should suggest maybe she takes a refresher class for being a manager. But treating employees with respect should be common sense. I have been coming to this Ralph's for almost 10 years. I love this store, the younger employees are so nice and will definitely help you out and acknowledge your existence, but their older employees need a customer service class. They're so rude and very sarcastic. There's 2 ladies that work the self checkout that are horribly rude. The older cashier men are also rude! I came one particular day were there wasn't a lot of customers. I came in to buy baby food for my daughter. I bought over 50 of their organic beech nut products. This one older man was checking me out and was throwing all of the baby food very aggressively (I thought they were going to break) when scanning them. Usually one of the younger employees would come over and bag your items. This day they must have been in school or elsewhere but Ralphs. This man proceeded to bag my items and I had purchased items that were in glass. That man was throwing ALL of my items in the bag very aggressively and rudely. Never greeted me, no conversation NOTHING!! He tells me my total in a nasty way never giving eye contact. I pay for my items and he throws my receipt at me. That was the first time I've seen that man working there, and he seemed very unhappy with his job. After I checked out, I saw customers switching isles. There's another older man working there too! I've seen him there very often, I haven't had the chance to get his name because I always try to use the self-checkout to avoid anyone being rude to me. Anyways, he is always nice and very courteous. He doesn't make nasty faces when you are buying over 40 items lol. Super kind and generous. Unlike the other man employee, I think his name was joe or something between those lines. I love coming to this store, always neat and clean. But I wish they would hire new older nicer people. I forgot to get one of their newer cashiers name. This Ralphs is an absolute DUMP, and the employee attitudes are just as bad!!!!!!!!!!! I have been coming here the last couple of months and buying the organic cooked chicken for my dogs. I ordered 4 chickens form Rick (I believe that was his name) on Tuesday night. He told me they would be ready at 10: 00 am. I get there and every single employee in the Deli/Bakery looked at me standing their and didn't say a word! I purposely sat here not asking any questions. 7 minutes later a rude Mexican woman says she has no idea what I'm talking about and there are no chickens ready. This Ralphs is not in the best neighborhood, but the crowd inside is not too bad. The problems arise at the front door. There is ALWAYS (I mean 100% of the time, not 99.9% of the time, but 100% of the time) kids trying to sell you candy bars or Carl's Jr. coupon books. And these kids are aggressive! I have had them follow me around the store, and one time they followed me out into the parking lot. If you politely say "no" they continue whining and following you. I have been at the store after 10pm, and the kids are still out there! The pushy kids are my biggest complaint, and I try to avoid this Ralphs location if at all possible. read more

This has been the favorite local grocery store for me and my sister for years, especially since we grew up down the street. However, lately it's become somewhere we avoid, mostly because of the manager. I don't know her name, but she is shrill, abrasive, and talks to her employees in a horrible manner. The only redeeming qualities of this store is the deli department. Chris, Antwon and the rest are all amazing, but even their light is dimmed by the annoying manager. She seems to think calling people "honey" and "baby" covers up her rudeness. Will not be returning for a while. read more

I like the grocery store. Their prices are a little on the high side, although they do have some specials now & then. They have multiple self check out stations. The staff is always so nice. What I don't like with this specific location is all the beggars. You get the feeling of being threatened to give money to these people and there are a LOT of them. I have given money to many beggars, some are nice, some are not. The unfriendly people seem to be more persistent to get money from you when you tell them you are unable to give. I will, personally NOT be going back to this location. I simply want to shop, not be bothered and be able to go home safely. read more

I really do appreciate grocery worker in the midst of this virus thing but my experience at the store was awful today. Went to Ralph to look for some sort of a cake for My brother birthday. Got myself a sugar free Angel food cake, sugar free cool whip, and a box of strawberries. Went to the check out line and waited in the cashier line cuz it was shorter then the self check out line. Self check out is never reliable. Then a worker at Ralph told me to go to the self check out line, no she forced me. I told her I didn't want to do self check out. So went to the self check out line cuz it look like she was gonna cut my throat if I didn't go. Check out and the machine didn't give me back my change. After that was settled, i started walking away from the self check and then my box of strawberries fell to the ground. I said "shit" loudly and kicked one of the strawberries. I got super mad and just walked out of the store. Never going back to that Ralph again. Worker there suck. read more

Thee worst day here today I'm super annoyed!!!! I had to use my Wic on just the baby food n formula n the minute he saw the vouchers it was like I was scum. I only got four cans of formula and 18 packs of baby food which I had vouchers ready for him to take. I also paid 49.$ for wipes n other stuff I got but I put his punk ass to work n gave dollers I work in a bar sue me. I counted everything out. I tried my best to make everything a lil easy for him because I know it must be annoying go through all that plus he had 1 customer behind me which I apologized to. The cashier ted b basically made my experience here thee worst cause I usually go to the Asian lady who adores my baby. Very friendly and helpful associates. Beautiful produce department stocked with a wide variety of items that are always fresh. A few weeks ago I was looking for vegan ice cream with traditional flavors but could not find any. I asked a cashier if they carried any vegan ice cream and she was so kind to look with me. Unfortunately we did not find any; however, she was quick to recommend that I ask the manager to carry specific flavors and they would hold it in the back anytime I wanted. Definitely a four start place. I've been shopping here for years and I'm generally very happy about my shopping experience. As most other reviewers have already mentioned, the place is clean, friendly, and well stocked. It's almost never crowded and carries a variety of domestic items. There's an "Asian" section, but you probably won't find more than Sriracha, Yakisoba, and Pocky here. If the products didn't have such a high mark up or if it had better deals, I'd give the store a perfect 5. read more

I've grown up coming to this Ralph's. Always liked shopping here. Last night I was at the Seal beach Ralph's and they gave me a wrong item from the deli. Not paying attention I brought it home. Not wanting to drive back over there I came to this one. The guy at the deli was cleaning and said they closed up. I told him my issue and he directed me to his manager. He said he had only been manager for 3 months and wasnt sure if they could do that so he had to call the other manager to ask and he said I could swap it. I was so very thankful he did that for me. I thanked him and he said, You're good like Inglewood, girl." And that was the cherry on top. He a real one. I cant remember his name or the guy in the deli who helped me but they were both handsome black dudes. I work in a retail chain store/customer services. I really appreciated how quickly I was helped and that I was able to swap my lunch meat. Another reason why I love this Ralph's. read more

It's not a bad grocery store, per se, but there are other stores in the area that have better selections at better prices. So, typically, I'll only shop here if I can't find an item I'm looking for at one of their competitors which, as you can imagine, isn't very often. Plus, they have those annoying self-checkout stations...you know, the ones that often end up being slower than the regular lines, save the company money without passing on that savings to their customers, and that take away jobs from cashiers? Plus, they always seem to run out of paper bags and, as we all know, the plastic bags suck. In short, there simply aren't that many good reasons for me to shop here. read more

I find the price on their produce a little high but i also have another store near if im cooking something that call for alot of produce ill but it there instead. You can always count on Ralph's to come through. I usually come here to get beer, since they have a pretty decent selection of domestic and craft. The people that work there are also always friendly. Worst experience ever in ordering a full sheet cake. Tried ordering cake online and it was not working. I called in my cake order and person who took my order told me to call the following morning to finish order. I called the next morning to finish order and I was put on hold for more than 10 minutes. I called again only to be put on hold. I couldn't deal with this inefficiency any longer. I called my local baker and ordered cake. I tip my hat off to the local bakers.
